That's fair. I cracked a weld on one when I dropped one edge of a plate more than twice that size, but even then it held onto the plate. It didn't break till I torqued it down again. See video: "Dropping a Bulkhead in Place -- Violently!"
I am sure that you will be sailing! Maybe it's not the Mediterranean, but I am sure that the bow and sides port and starboard, there will be a sea with its salty smell and the foam on the stern, WISHES OF HEART!

I'm far from genius, but I can make cheap copies of stuff.
free is great but id rather choose to were the helmet before the accident than be forced to afterwards...
Real plate clamps aren't that expensive, and A LOT safer. why not buy one? Norther tool's gotem for a little over $100
