In very low wind conditions with a little swell I had absolutely no chance to get the 10qm UFO out of the water when it was on the canopy. Starting in reverse when it lays on the front tube is no problem at all but the other way around is a real issue in low wind conditions.
Was a ozone rider for years but when I got in to foiling had to drop them once I tried the UFO v2 this was the kite I been waiting for bought the whole Quiver even better flying then any tampons kites thank you slingshot for a absolute dream of a kite for foiling will be purchasing the new UFO when they come out
I have a Cabrinha Contra 9 with 1 strut. I have a Hard time trying to get my body out of the water in the starting process when it's really lighwind. Do you think a UFO size 11 would solve this problem in those 6-8 knots days? Or a even a 10 meter would be enough? I,m 77kg
I bought the v3 in 10 and it does the job. Gets me out of the water in 7-8 Knots. The size and the shape of your foil makes a big difference in light wind. What I experienced was that the UFO flew easily in around 6 knots but couldn’t produce enough power to get me on my foil (990cm). That started to work around 8 knots.
The ghost is also a great foil kite. In comparison, the Ghost has more grunt but a little less drift. The Ghost will also have better relaunch. The UFO will have a smoother power delivery. Ghost is more of a foiling / twintip crossover where as the UFO is strictly foil pretty much. Hope this helps. Always feel free to call the shop. Cheers! - Cado

Ive got a ghost v2 quiver and love them. How does the UFO compare to the Ghost for foiling?

@@MACkiteboarding ok, thanks. At 95kg, I sometimes need that grunt to get going. 😊
I use a UFO v1 5m and I am wondering what is the real difference between v1 and v3 and if I will feel much difference
