There is a smaller 2.5" Diddy. Maybe the new DK scales well with him? Jakks Pacific seems to have a bad habit of not scaling figures well. Their Sonic the Hedgehog line is AWFUL for scaling. Sonic and Eggman are 4" and 5" respectively, and Sonic is supposed to be around half of Eggman's height. So, if you want to scale Sonic and Eggman together, you need to buy the 2.75" figures, and a 5" Eggman because Jakks couldn't be bothered to make a 7" or 8" Eggman for the standard line. This seems to be the same case with this DK, where he scales well with everything except the figures in his own line.
Donkey Kong isn't much bigger than Diddy in the gameplay of the original country game, but even with that metric, Donkey is still too small. I like the look of him though so I might grab him as it's own stand alone piece since I adore dk
Jack Pacific needs to do more donkey Kong country characters.
The characters we need as figures:
Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, Funky Kong, Squawks the parrot, Rambi the Rhino, candy Kong, Mole miner, and many More.
I remember as a kid I found a donkey Kong Mario kart 64 figure at a flea market sadly no kart but mannnn was that one of the coolest figures I owned especially back then when Nintendo wasn't big on making highly articulated action figures
I love Jakks Paific sonic line so I'm glad we have some Nintendo characters to mix in with them

Honestly for $10 theyre pretty solid figures.
I always thought Diddy was so brave for wearing stars over his nipples but also going naked from the waist down.

I just got my first jakks Mario figure really impressed head is big asf.
IIRC they were about $8-10 for the first three waves at like Target, $12 at TRU, and $10 at Kmart and BBTS, also $10 at stores like Meijer but those are more regional.
wild to think this line's been out for almost 10 years, long enough for two of those stores to basically complete shutter.
The Diddy fit in great with the SHF figures.
Limited articulation, but it doesn't disturb the sculpt like an import would.

I’m gonna have size compare my Toybiz Mario Kart 64 Donkey Kong with Jakks Diddy. Honestly I might hold out on Donkey Kong cause shouldn’t we get a movie version of him? Unless that line isn’t selling well.
the old kart figures are pretty small.

IMO DK and Diddy are scale accurate to how they scale in the old Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong 64 CG art or close enough anyways

They discontinued the 6 inch line that included dk and bowser which was great to scale with the smaller 4 inch line to keep scale intact
Discontinued? It was only the two figures. I'm sure they can make more big ones wherever they want.

DK is a bit unnecessary when the big one exists, Diddy is sufficient for a smash display looks good on the shelf
Man I disagree. This figure is dope. The Banpresto has an amazing profile, but this one scales marvelously with the 2.5. gonna throw a matte finish on him

@@AnthonysCustomsi dont think its "ill conceived". Its probably the best DK fig we have so far. The 6" DK head is gigantic and weird...but the new DK doesn't scale well with 4" nintendo so I get that
