  • Something about this letter has made me hesitant and I have considered several times if I should really post it. But here we are, with Letter 84.
I don't really have much to say about it. Maybe because I am sleepy. The weather has also been super pleasant today, with rain in the morning and all of it has put me at ease, in other words, LAZY.
Let me know how you find this letter ✌🏾✌🏾

Dude the weather here is rainy too, it's so hard to wake up in the morning.
Btw, is your mother fine now?

    Very poignant🥺 Meraki.
Chords of memories revived in that room in the hospital ER, .. I am sure everybody would feel for you and emit a heartfelt sigh and have misty eyes for a few seconds as they move on, enraptured by the video.I pray your mother recovers fully, soon🙏
Auntie! 😄🤣And the refusal to use a wheel chair! When admitted in the hospital, my mother was called, not auntie but 'mataji' by the nurse and attendants and Boy! did she protest to me!! And the eye contact and looks I got everytime she was referred to, very reverentially, as 'mataji' 😃😆 So relatable😂
I too keep forgetting names! I never forget a voice, an aroma, but names just fly off my head!😬🤯
I have noticed how people panic when told they have diabetes. They crib and cry and think they will be dead by tomorrow! My shoulders have been drenched by many a tear by new diabetes patients🙄
And what is this way some doctors have of smiling and giving bad news. I had a veterinary doctor come out of the OT with a most engaging and encouraging smile as I eagerly anticipated good news only to blurt out that my pet squirrel had died on the operating table the moment they cut him open....that was a deceptive smile and I hated it being meted out to me.
This video clutches at ones heart strings, makes one smile too, leaves one lingering between two worlds...

Oh wow!! Thank you so much for this message. I can see how several parts of it were relatable and resonated 🙏🙏
Mataji while it sounds more respectful, in a way it seems more offensive than aunty 😄😄 Reading that made me laugh 😆
Oh spot on. If the intention of the smile is to ease things, its timing should be very carefully put. In your experience and mind, that wasn’t clearly the case. The same doctor was super fine during visits though. He listened, he was empathetic.
Sorry about the squirrel. What was its name?
I have been going to the beach almost every evening and the changing weather gives it a different color each day, as if it’s getting dressed up in different attire. Finding these outings so likable and how wonderful it is to live at such a place where every evening seems no less attractive!!
How’s the book going? I got back to reading Rebecca , a book I didn’t finish the last few times I started it. This time it’s going to be read till the last page ✊✊

    Please do not be morbid🙏
Names are all you will ever forget until you train yourself to remember them,.. the way I have not😂
Even though the rain brings with it many pleasant things, but it also sometimes brings along a sort of forgotten grief that clings and makes one brood over things one would otherwise have laughed at and paid no attention to. Take care and take rest. Hospital visits have a way of leaving one quite unsettled and disturb ones' equilibrium temporarily.

That’s true about rains. Have definitely gone into some brooding, or must I say more brooding state than the usual the last few days. But the good thing is I have been brooding over some hopeful and positive changes.
I think I’m fine with the hospital visits. There was a time when they used to leave me unsettled but got used to them now. I guess it’s the writing part that got to me. Those few days in the hospital and putting down thoughts and elaborating them had made me feel more than otherwise.
But all is well A. Working on a few things and excited about the outcomes 😃😃
