It might be the shampoo you used it with (even though it was from the same line🙄) different deep conditioner react differently depending on the shampoo you used them with. That's my experience anyway. I had the same feeling as you when I used the Adowa shampoo with the Uniqurl deep conditioner( moisture was lost as soon as I applied it), but it was a different experience when I used the NLS shampoo with the same dc.
With all these new-new products in the equation these days I need a favs update video please. Has any old favs been dethroned?? Who shall reign supreme?
Two things I wouldn’t do. Purchase a hairline from someone that primarily wears weave and go to a stylist with a totally different hair texture or broken damage hair. Big no’s for me
Girl! As always you do a fabulous job of giving a balanced and thoughtful product review which I love AND your hair looked amazing! Here are my thoughts and a 4C Hair Review!! The quality and affordability of this line is amazing! There is definitely something to be said for using products in a line together because they are designed to complement each other. The affordability allowed me to buy the shampoo, conditioner, hair masque, leave in conditioner, and curl cream; this plus two more things I’ll share in a minute were the key to MY success with these products. I’ve used these products for the last two weeks and I can report that my hair which is somewhat thin has looked and felt THICK which is fantastic, so these products help with volume. Also, my moisture retention has been really good (5-6 days) and as we move toward the winter season that is definitely something I need. So, in summary here are some key tips that helped this work for my 4C hair: 1. KEY! Use some Jamaican Black Castor Oil to seal your hair! Initially I used the curl cream alone just to see what would happen......my hair literally laughed at me. The MINUTE I put the JBCO on, my hair was like “Now you’re talking”. My hair requires a thicker product to seal it... that is just MY 4C reality. Full Disclosure: I.CANNOT.DO.A.WASH-N-GO! I’ve accepted this in my heart and my hair and I have decided to co-exist happily and be at peace with that reality =) That being said, my Twist Out definition is.....FLAWLESS..Yes, pun was definitely intended!! 2. USE heat with the deep conditioner. My hair felt SO soft and conditioned when I did this! 3. Use heat with the 3 Minute Conditioner!! If I’m in a rush I’ll do the 3 minutes in shower and keep it moving, but the directions say for deeper penetration use heat so I tried it with my hood dryer..Girl!! I’m just gonna go ahead and do that EACH time. For me HEAT IS KEY! 4. Can we talk about the fragrance though?? Periodically I would get this whiff of a beautiful, soft fragrance and I’d say “I didn’t put on perfume today did I?? Then I realized it was my hair!! The fragrance is so incredible-I love the scent, it’s fresh, inviting and soft not overwhelming or cloying like some! 5. Quality of ingredients! Gabrielle “put her foot in it”!! Black women have been fighting to have our hair care products include only ingredients that will benefit our hair AND do us no harm while also not breaking the bank. I feel like Gabrielle could have easily priced these a bit higher but she deliberately chose to keep the price point low to enable more women to be able to purchase quality products even if they are on a budget. I salute her for leading with her integrity rather than the need to get rich off people! That alone deserves support! FYI-I purchased from Sally’s which I’ll continue to do to ensure that we hold the shelf space for a Black owned business but I’ll also buy from Amazon because Sally’s had sold out of some of the items quickly. Hope this helps if you are thinking about trying Flawless!
@@techiescrapper Some people hair just grow faster. It's goes down to genetics, your hair (once it gets what it needs it will grow), and the position it is in during the hair growth cycle. Everyone hair grows but if it breaks off faster or just as much as it grows then you won't notice.
Yvette The TechieScrapper no, I take vitamins. I took the Mane choice for a while. Now I’m taking the Curls blueberry liquid vitamin. They both really have helped

Can you try the Kenya Moore hair care line??? I really value your opinion on products because your seem genuine and also my hair texture is close to yours as well.
I did in February! If you’re blow drying your hair straight or if you have line stands, it’s great. If you have kinks and plan to wear your hair in a natural style, it’s not the best option. It needs more moisture

I tried this line when they first launched too and I LOVED it!!! I had the moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, the repair serum, deep conditioner, shine spray and edge control. It defined my curls for the first time ever and gave me the confidence to wear my hair out BUT it was expensive (IMO) at the time I don't think any individual item was less than $20-$25. The ONLY reason I had that many products is because they had a launch sale 😂 it's cheaper now but I'm scared it won't work as well. I'm sure they changed the ingredients.
@@FayeInTheCity yes!! I honestly feel like it was worth it, but I couldn't afford to keep buying it at the time. I think I'll give this one a try though. Thanks for the review!!!
I have been using the curl defining cream for about a week. I live in Puerto Rico and it is crazy humid here. I topped it with my homemade flax seed gel and got great results. I never do creams on their own need the cast of a gel or it will not last in this humidity. Looking forward to trying the masque.
Hey girl!!! Look at YOU !!! your neck and face are really slimming down. As far the hair products Gabby use to have her stuff at JCPENNEY and it was always on clearance. My beautician tried a couple of items on me and they just didn’t workout. Good luck with your weight loss journey.
When you started twisting your hair I thought to myself, “Oh we are being very ambitious!” Then you were like nope and I said there’s my girl 😂😂😂😂. Great video as always. I think that I would try the mask and add some Ayurvedic herbs to add slip
I like the way you do reviews. You’re honest, but you are also fair. You offer constructive criticism without totally bashing the product. Just because a product doesn’t work for me doesn’t mean it’s a bad product necessarily.
Love your videos, you are real. I hate the fact I have thick 4b hair and most creams don't do a thing for my hair. The creams work extremely well on my daughter's hair who has 3a and 3c but me nothing. This really really bothers me...the struggle is on for darker sisters, thin creams, makeup struggles do to coloring and good gosh wig lace, doggone amazing that no one had done it for us yet.
What I have noticed, if it mentions any other hair type besides 4c, I haven't had much success with my daughter's 4c low porosity hair. I'm not saying this applies to all products, I take a number of other things into consideration, like porosity and density, but I've had my share of experience.
Thank you for the review. I was wondering how the products worked. You are really looking good with your weight loss. I see it all in your face.
