Thank you for the shout buddy! I think not only have you done real justice to this and I thought you would love the brickwork, woods etc ,Looks like you all had a cracking morning out
Always a pleasure and never a chore watching your video’s Steve. Especially this one mate a 12th century church tower let me put it into perspective. It was built a couple 100 years before America was discovered how amazing is that? It’s still standing. all the best mate looking forward to the next one.
Truely lost heritage, under the trees, where nobody sees. Keep up the great work. Mum loves the way you use old sayings and your accent too. 👍 Hugs and smiles across the miles.
Thank You for showing everyone the photos and history of this fantastic place. How could they demolish all that? I am happy to follow along as you find the remnants of this great place. Wish I could be there out in nature. Nature sure takes over when humans depart. If we didn't have these videos I couldn't have the adventures with you. Thanks!
Great Vid. As a kid me and my brothers used to play in the old buildings, such an awesome place. So sad when it was demolished in the late 60's.. Still used to play up there afterwards when most of the ballastrade walling was still intact. Pity you didn't include the old cottages over the road from the sunken church (you can just see them through the trees at the end of the video) ❤❤❤❤
Did you notice the tower portion of the hall had disappeared in the later dated photo? Also coal- you probably know Woolaton Hall had possibly the 1st railway in the world to bring coal from Strelly pit. Wooden rails & horse drawn I shouldn't wonder. Great video Steve, I watched Ant Dakins vlog about Bramcote Hall a few weeks ago, wouldn't mind a mooch round myself but no time these days!
Ey up, good to see you indianajonesinit again young Steve! It was very sobering to see how the site had disappeared back into nature well within my lifetime 😮❤
What a great outing, thanks! I've heard tell that if you go up those steps at just the right time you'll catch a glimpse of the old Hall before it vanishes in the mist...😉
I like that, bit of a different noseh but great nonetheless. Them stairs were stunning. I'm toying with the idea of building a 'ruined' folly in me garden, some of those walls and balustrades gave me some great ideas. Thanks for the video Steve, as always brilliant to watch.
I've not mentioned yet how I really like this new intro, the tune is really lovely. It would be very cool to know which shot is from which episode (mostly the one with all the 'stuff' piled up to the tunnel roof I'm intrigued by!) I recognise a couple, but I haven't worked through all of the episodes yet!
Thank you Clair. The one with the rubbish up to the roof is of Mapperly tunnel. There is a decent video of that from a couple of years ago actually. They call that rubbish heap “The Crap Stack”
@LeiceExplore thanks for the reply. If you know where the house stood then cut back the bushes and it's probably only a foot under the soil if not right there.
Steps "humanize" the site. Look down at the steps and begin walking up them. Slowly look up, letting yourself imagine you are following someone, and instantly traverse the difference in time.

Cheers lord Beers! And here was me thinking this episode was crap lol

Love the the history behind the ruins 👌
Cheers buddy! Those steps look fantastic amongst the undergrowth and trees.

What a lovely comment!
Thank you Steve. An old staircase in the middle of the wood, Fantastic explore! It really is amazing what is left for nature to reclaim.
Thanks mate, it really is amazing what history lies lurking in the undergrowth, and I’ll do my best to keep bringing it to your screens
If I came across a flight of stairs out in the woods like that I would thank the woodland fairies for making my walk easier.
They really are an amazing feature here. Thanks for watching

@@jasondillon6577 cheers mate, I love what I do, if I didn’t film it all and bring you with me, I’d still do it.
@@LeiceExplore That would be my Stairway to (earthly) Heaven to reach the top and just see nature in all it's glory. Keep the videos coming.

Thank you Malcolm. Would’ve been great as a kid playing in there!

Eh up Pete! No I didn’t notice mate. Yes, I know a bit of history about the Wollaston hall tramway, fascinating, I love tramways
Great contact, keep up the good work
Thank you very much, and thanks for watching.

Eh up our Max! Thank you very much buddy, did you know this structure when it was still there?
Nice one fellas,im glad you said you were in Nottinghamshire,it looked like the Amazon,😮🤣👍
Cheers buddy, yes it could’ve doubled up as Borneo, mind ya, I did have two orangutans with me lol
What a great outing, thanks! I've heard tell that if you go up those steps at just the right time you'll catch a glimpse of the old Hall before it vanishes in the mist...😉
Thank you very much! That would be great, it’d send a chill down ya spine to!
Thanks Steve, I love history on your doorstep. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you Archbishop Sloan. I knew this would be up your street, and influence a future garden project haha
Great nosy! I love stuff like that, fascinating. It’s nice how some things remain from demolished buildings. Thanks.
Thank you Vanessa! I’m very pleased you enjoyed it!
Nice trick with the LIDAR map didn't know about that, I find that website tricky to use at times. Liked those steps.
Cheers Rich. I love the maps, I’d be lost without them, pun intended lol. Yeah lidar is a great tool
Liking the new start format on your vids. Keep up the great content 👏👍
Cheers buddy!

@@LeiceExplore Cheers Steve! Will check it out. Looks crazy!
@@clairharwood it was a great September evening, and very hot!
Nice🎉
Thank you
There's probably still a basement full of loads of building materials buried in the undergrowth.
Well if there is I’d love to know where haha!
@LeiceExplore thanks for the reply.

Another great watch that delivered yet again!
Thank you very much Tony, I’m very pleased you enjoyed it buddy.
Interesting stuff . That tunnel under the stairs is probably an escape route for the mansion's owner.
Bankers and MPs always need an escape route 🤨🤭
Don’t they just lol. Thanks for watching!

Great comment, I’ll remember to mention that if I can next time I’m walking up old steps, because I’m always thinking it. Thanks for watching
Lord Beard looks a bit like Russell Brand 😉🙊
Haha yeah he does a bit! I never noticed it before
Why would they demolish something like that
I know, it’s mad, a place like that disappearing. The steps in the woods are cool though
You are saying lieutenant incorrectly. It's 'leff-tenant'. Look it up.
Actually I know this, it’s a habit, after watching so many American films, I pronounce it their way, look it up lol. no worries
