I've rewatched this series maybe 10 times now and the scene of Michael at Pam's art show has gotta be my all time favourite. It's the start of their unlikely yet deep and rich bond that grows throughout the series and explains why Pam went out of her way to catch Michael at the airport in his last episode.

Not a hot take. He didn't know how to manage properly, and since he always avoided problems, he wasn't rude or firm with the people in the office. Total chaos. Dwight's weird but he's just so good at commanding people.
Michael understood fundamentally that business is driven by people, conducted by people and every transaction, contract or agreement is between people. That's why he was a great salesman, and eventually why he was a great boss. He made it about the people.
I once worked as a supervisor at a small design studio where I managed and led a team of 12. After 10 years working as a supervisor, I discovered a show called The Office because I come from a humble background of a traditional Indian family so I didn’t have access to leisure that much back in the day.
