You asked what decks we are running. I’m just coming back into magic after a 20 year hiatus and bought 2000 random cards from ebay and patched together a few quick decks. Mono black mill/discard, mono black drain/vamp, red/black trample.
I am really enjoying Ominous Sea in a cycle deck, I run 4 of them. Get them 8/8 Krakens out pretty quick with all the cycle draw and planeswalker draw. The tokens and planeswalkers make for a great distraction. I am working on making a specific deck for each companion, pulled a Gyruda in draft :)
I just bought this set and can't wait to open that box topper and see what I get! Congrats on that pull! My brother had the non foil one but still a great pull

So far i feel the green color is the best to build a deck around MUTATE, accompanied by blue, mana ramp, and lastly u can plus black or red up to you The broken mutate card is the auspicious starrix, it goes crazy if u cant handle it early

I built a deck with Lurrus. That mono black deck based around Priest of the Forgotten. I use Lurrus to keep bringing back the sacrificed creatures. I have 4 copies of Serrated Scorpion in there, some Couldrins familiar/witch oven, catches everybody off guard in BO1
Was bored and bought a box og this set. Never ever played Magic but i love opening card packs and finding cool cards. Might have to go through them all and see if i have any cards that are worth something. Thanks for a good video. Great commentating :)
I've been making a flash build with Slitherwisp and a light mutate edge to it on Arena (basically using the snake as control and then sap life with some of the mutate cards), it has been a pretty fun deck so far. Can't wait for the set to release!
What is the difference between the collectors Ikoria set and the one your opening in this video? I notice in the collectors Ikoria set you got a lot more foils and cooler stuff.
I love playing mutate I think it's an amazing mechanic. But like you said I will play my squirrel and it usually dies next turn or the turn after before mutate can actually do anything. It's extremely weak against removal and sparks/lightning bolts.
What's the best way to grow my collection? I'm trying to collect every IKO card from the lair of behemoths. I'm new to this kind of thing so I'd love to learn
So to clarify, every box topper is a foil Godzilla Series Card (1 of 15; doesn't include BAB promo or 3 Japanese exclusives). And you cannot get Godzilla Series cards in standard packs. They come 1 per in the Collectors Boosters. You can get Godzilla Series cards, foil or otherwise, in standard Japanese packs, though. But not the English ones. Other showcase cards with the pop movie at are pullable in all packs.

I’ve been trying a Sultai Mutate Deck and I think Mutating Gemrazer onto Nightveil Predator is somewhat decent.
I have a suicidal deck that's based around dream den, serrated scorpion, and several return to life cards.
