Hard to convey how big Stevie Wonder was especially during the seventies. But listen to this and the other wonderful songs he did and you will at least understand why.
Stevie is exceptional on Harmonica with the first time I heard him - "I Was Made To Love Her"... My Favs - "For Once In My Life"... "As"... "Overjoyed"... "My Cherie Amour"..."I Just Called To Say I Love You"..."Golden Lady"... I have all his music in my collection.
This is just ONE of Stevie's many hits. May I suggest playing: "Ribbon in the Sky" or "Knocks Me Off My Feet" or "Superstition" Stevie Wonder is the 8th Wonder of the World. I have more Stevie Wonder than any other artist in my collection- he makes musics, hits, classics. TALENTED
One of The GREAT WONDERS of the WORLD!! STEVIE is a Definitely a Legend 😎! And he had two Guests Singers on this! I remember when STEVIE performed on Saturday Night Special!
Stevie's "Superstition" and "Higher Ground" are two tracks so full of funk it will bounce you out of your chair! Stevie plays multiple instruments and though his eyes may not see his other senses more than make up for it musically. His first #1 hit was "Fingertips" at the ripe old age of 12. It was a 20 minute performance and you can find the video in two parts here on TH-cam. Definitely worth a listen.
"You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" dropped when I was five. So it reminds me a bit of kindergarten, heh. The third voice belongs to Stevie Wonder. He was still called "Little Stevie Wonder" sometimes back then. That was the professional name under which he dropped his first chart topper, "Fingertips", in 1963 when he was 13 years old. "Fingertips" is filled with groovy harmonica. Check it out too.
Gotta say it, this was my Mom's favorite song. She would start singing it every time one of us, her boys, came home from a long trip. Great memory. Miss you Mom.
Just go straight to the double album " Songs In The Key Of Life " and pick ANYTHING. One of the most iconic singer/songwriters in history. Love love love Stevie wonder!
"I Really Enjoyed The Vibe It Brought To It".... Me too...I assembled the Fender Rhodes Electric Piano Stevie used on the album, and a few thousand others used in great music from those years. I always smile hearing a song with a piano I built.
Mr Wonder was a childhood favorite mine. So many good song. Superstitious is amazing as well as my personal favorite " living for the city" WOW, is all I can say.
Stevland Hardaway Morris, known professionally as Stevie Wonder, is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is credited as a pioneer and influence by musicians across a range of genres that include R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk, and jazz. One of the pillars at MOTOWN with a massive body of great tunes.
You MUST keep diving into SW! His catalogue is massive, and there's not a bad song he's ever done! My two favorite albums of his are "Songs In The Key Of Life" and "Innervisions". I have many favorites from SITKOL -- they're ALL special, but my favorite standout is "Joy Inside My Tears". Favorite from IV is "Living For The City" (links below). Please add these to your list for future reactions, and please DO NOT stop! You won't be sorry. Big fan! Appreciate you every day. Check out Stevie Wonder - Sir Duke. If you haven’t heard it yet. One of my favorite songs overall from anyone. It gets the body moving a little and puts me in a good mood every time. You can feel it all over. Thanks again, bro. I have tons of songs that I’d love to request. If possible.
This is one of those rare instances where the single version is better than the album version due to the outstanding horn arrangement, which takes it up another notch.
Amazing you spotted Stevie didn't sing the opening refrain. I've owned this album since it dropped in 1976 and only discovered that last year (2023) even though it's potentially my favourite ever Stevie Wonder composition (if there could be such a thing, as there's way too many to choose from). So well done YOU (or very poorly done ME). Whatever.
JM, as you are a rapper you'll know Coolio's 'Gangsta Paradise'. So you should take a listen to the origin of the song by listening to Stevie Wonder's 'Pastime Paradise' basically the same song base with a change of groove and lyrics. Both are exceptional. His album 'Songs In The Key Of Life' was a double cassette I bought while travelling in 1977 and it became the sound track to my vacation. Still love it immensely 'Pastime Paradise' is one track also 'Sir Duke', 'Isn't She Lovely', 'I wish' to name a few. Needless to say the cassette tapes stretched and I replaced them with a CD. Thanks for the reaction Stevie is great. Also has guested on many many other artists songs. For example The Eurythmics, 'There must be an Angel' on harmonica and is on one track of the new Rolling Stones album, 'Hackney Diamonds', 'Sweet Sounds Of Heaven' on piano, also featuring Lady Gaga on guest vocals. Cheers ✌
@@JMBOYTV Okay, lets say you were a young guy brought up primarily on rap music and is now in the process of graduating into an 'all' popular music critic and lover. You still look like someone who raps. Lol ✌
@@phillipharrison7283 Yea brother I’m gonna have to disagree. As a matter of fact that’s a pretty ignorant thing to say if you ask me. Why don’t you go ahead and list out the things that make me look like a rapper. I’m pretty certain you’re conflating a couple things.
Agreed. I never once put you in any class or music genre. Many music genres have a certain "Look" like hair metal or grunge bands make their appearance uniquely evident. As for "Rapper".... Eminem looks like a Rapper due to obvious attitude and mannerisms. Knowing you like I do now I say to label you as a "Classic Rocker" is most appropriate.@@JMBOYTV
Stevie Wonder is one on of the great American songwriters. Joy Inside My Tears is wonderful.
I have been listening to little Stevie Wonder since the 60s.

Stevie Wonder is like the 31 flavors of talent; so creative, so varied, just ultra‼✨

This was for when his daughter was born.
Nope, Aisha was born in 1975. You're conflating this 1972 song with "Isn't she lovely".
You please react to You can't deny it by Lisa stansfield, music video request plz ❤😊😊❤
