@@n.l.g9155 This was supposed to be the original cast for Unrequited love, but the main lead wasn't able to be apart of it since he was working on another drama, so they had to switch up the cast. But in my opinion, I really love the original cast, they played their roles perfectly. Even though they aren't in the big screen, they're really good and talented!

Are you sure its not just the author selling the rights to other productions to make adaptations... there's a third version coming too apparently. I think the author sold the rights to make adaptations to several productions at the same time. 2019 version just happen to film faster or has actors/actresses that were less busy maybe. Hence why all these adaptations are being released so close to one another.

The reasons why the dates of release are so close to one another is from what I believe is that the author sold the rights to produce her story into a drama and movie ( there's a movie also coming out with same story different cast) to different production companies at the same time or around the same time. key words "same time". One rumor said that the male lead for this rendition was filming another drama when he got casted so their filming was delayed. It also appears that 2019 version may have a lower budget (a theory) hence less known castings also the ability to air faster since the production company that produced it was the same company to release the drama. They are no qualms about releasing so close to one another because they paid for the rights and apparently the novel is popular so people will watch it regardless.
this is a very nice and cute drama although i like comedy romance but i am really enjoing this without comedy ..... love it you can see it on viki but there are two more epesodes than viki on dramacool with subs .................. hope everyone of you also love this drama
the thing i liked about the 1st season was that it wasn't a complicated romance story but a really simple but heart-touching one and I'm afraid that the 2nd season involves too many love triangles and relationships that might disappoint me! Should I still give it a try?

for anyone interested, this (2021 ver.) is the second adaptation of the novel. the first one was released in 2019 with Zhu Yan Man Zi and Zhao Shun Ran as the leads and i was sad to see it barely got any recognition despite being so so SO good. the character designs and their portrayal was perfect (and the 2019 Luo Zhi became my fav fml of all times after watching 150+ dramas), the plot was well-paced and logical. i absolutely loved the 2019 version and watching this trailer already (sadly) makes me think that this one will have quite a lot of drama so i think i'll pass, though i'll hang around to see clips like these😁✌🏼
I agree with you a 1000% and I just don't like it when they do another adaption because it can pit fans against each other and as much as I adore the actors and actresses in this one, I love the 2019 version. They just knew how to tell a story and how to set the tone with certain scenes that it brought tears to my eyes. I probably will watch this adaption but I know for a fact that it won't give me the same emotions that the original one gave me. This one feels more light hearted where as the original one was more serious and mature.

Watching this version, i can confidently say the 2019 one is still my favorite. The main leads did such an amazing job. For me, one can get close to the level of emotions they were able to convey. It is in my top 5 favorite dramas i love to rewatch. And I’ve watched over 300 dramas. So far, imo, this version has been great. But that’s it. 2019 forever. all the way.

Honestly saying I have already watched the season 1 of this series, and from season 1, if I need to conclude the story, for me it only reflects that only ''some get the opportunity to be loved back by someone whom they loved''. I’m a big fan of Hu YiTian and I’m really trying to like this show but Luo Zhi’s character is getting annoying. She makes up all these lies and fake coincidences to get close to him but won’t tell him that she’s the little girl from his past or that she was the one who wrote on his wall, which would already show him that they have chemistry. She’s not so smart after all 😏 I’m on episode 21, where he finally confronts her about her lies but she still doesn’t come clean! She keeps deceiving him but has the audacity to get upset and act like the victim even after getting caught 😒 🤦♀️🤪
