There’s a lot of great stuff to interpret and arrange from Dragon Quest’s magical musical history, and this is a pleasant and fun place to start. I admire the faithful bombast of this arrangement, along with details such the leitmotif of Unknown World from the first game’s score, Sugiyama composer for adventure and whimsy and this performance evokes it nicely. Here’s hoping for more Dragon Quest in OJV’s future. :)

This takes me back to 12 year old me playing Dragon Warrior 1 & 2 on the GBC in my room all summer long. I'm now 34 and enjoyed it just as much when I played the newer Dragon Quest. Can't wait for the next Dragon Quest game.
