Decent quality build for a budget level speaker. That tweeter is nice.
Just a word of caution when replacing speaker driver screws always use a screwdriver and do it by hand. Even at low torque setting the drill/driver is a hazard with an MDF.

The mid-bass woofer has a magnet worthy of a 4 inch mids driver.

@@ctr289 Which then Wharfedale changed on the D11 series in 2018, those puppies are now massive and heavy. Sadly it appears that the magnets on the "Fink-developed" drivers on the new D12 series have gone backwards in this regard. Magnet size doesn't mean everything when it comes to speaker performance but it certainly adds quite a lot to the overall formula.

@@babolababs4732 It gives better sensitivity and excursion at high volumes. Diamond 225 are pretty insensitive compared to other cheap bookshelves, around 85dB real, nowhere near the 87dB specified (which isn't that high itself).

@@babolababs4732 Yes, completely agree with you Babola.
The D11 had far more thrown into the mix than you'd expect from speakers at that price range. People are only discovering that now. Sadly, D12 while "looking good" and sounding respectable, is a step back in budgetary terms.
