This is a remaster to my most viewed video, Midway.
To give you a little emphasis on what changes there are, the following are listed:
- I removed those weird glitches that appear in the old video that are caused by optical flow. Instead, I use frame sampling to prevent said glitches from happening.
- The original edit was the first ever video in this channel to have somewhat some color correction. However, the colors were overused and made the original edit look lower in quality, despite being in 1080p. To combat that, I have used the standard color correcting preset I have used in Dragon & Koi and Legends. This preset makes the clips look better and it does not seem to make the video look lower in quality.
- Instead of using the original Centuries as the song of the MV, I have changed it to an epic cinematic remix of the song (Credits to the owner, link below.) This change makes the viewer have a more epic and intriguing experience when watching this video.
- Though the title of this video clearly says "Midway" I have added in clips from the movie, "Pearl Harbor" (2001). Though in the original edit, the Doolittle Raid includes 3 (If I'm not mistaken) clips from that movie. In this video, I have decided to not only limit clips from appearing only in the Doolittle Raid segment. Instead, I have placed a lot more compared to the original edit.
- This part of the video is not noticeable, but I just want to mention it: During Admiral Tamon Yamaguchi's final speech during the sinking of the Hiryu, (3:34) I have extended the clip to add more context as to what is happening in that scene.
- In some particular scenes (most especially the Pearl Harbor attack segment of the MV,) I have added sound to the clips to enhance the watch experience.
- The "Fast Forward" & Rewind" segments of the music video are no longer actually appearing as a "fast forward" and "reverse" effect. I have changed into a continuous zoom effect, so it looks more sophisticated.
- This is not a change, but the comparisons mix between the original Centuries and the epic remix of it.
