Increasing the video memory scale doesn't do anything unless you have settings maxed out and need the vram to hold all the textures, etc. This setting will definitely give you better results for a maxed out benchmark though
Just a quick comment. I have two 'option.4.cod23' files. The edit is done in the 'options.4.cod23.cst' file. In Warzone I changed it to small but I haven't changed it yet in MW3, it's still at large by default. I definitely wouldn't go with extra large. From my understanding it relates to texture streaming quality and anisotropic filtering. The higher you go the more memory it uses so I would either leave it at default or go down to Med or Small so it doesn't use up as much memory. I did test it back in Verdansk and I didn't see much of a difference in FPS or Image Quality between the different choices.
im on a 7900xt and changing render from 8 cores to 16 threads decreased performance by like 30 percent and causes a cpu bottleneck. along with the 2.00000 thing

apparently you get more fps by making the cpu count 1 less than you actually have. so if you have a 6 core, make it 5. ive seen this info multiple times, so try it out.
What I don't understand is (correct me if I'm wrong) but changing the VRAM usage has absolutely zero effect on gaining fps especially when you're not even anywhere close to the max vram target. This has to be just a glitch and has no actual meaning behind it.
If you increase vram (mhz of vram) it will process fps faster and will be more stable. In my opinion at least 32g of ram with the max mhz in the vram that your cpu can handle

Almost all new games are forced windowed mode even if it says in game "full screen exclusive". DX12 games are all technically in a windowed mode so "optimizations for windowed games" should always be enabled!
Another thing to try is turning the resize bar option in the config under Graphics to “false”, only if you’re on Intel, at least for now. It dramatically helps your 1% lows. Resize bar is supposed to help performance but it doesn’t currently on Intel machines. Your average fps will drop but your lows should jump way up. Mine went from 280 avg/130 1% low to 250 avg/180 1% low ✌️❤️
not just intel this works on my amd rig, if i look at the center of map with rebar on it drops to 90 -100fps with it off im hitting 200-230 looking at the same spot
While I’m sure this helped you it does absolutely nothing for a Amd 5900/6800xt build w 64gigs of ram running 1440. Actually introduced some stuttering.
Its the weakest part so if your cpu is old and gpu is new then its your cpu and if your gpu is old and cpu is new most likely gpu but make sure your motherboard is also updated.
There is no absolute answer for this question but in general for gaming a higher gpu bottleneck % is preferred. Keep in mind this is without knowing your gaming setup and what you are trying to achieve (high graphics quality or high frames), and assuming it’s for gpu heavy games like CoD, and depending on how optimized your system and game settings are.
the thread count you talk about im not sure its threads. i have 20 threads but it seems the game has a max at 16. i have 14 cores. so it might be cores ??? and then i have some questions about some other settings in that cod folder "options.4.cod23" there is this Sets which memory mode to use for physical textures. 0:Extra small (11x11, 121 slots), 1:Small (16x16, 256 slots), 2:Medium (23x23, 529 slots), 3:Large (32x32, 1024 slots), 4:Extra large (45x45, 2025 slots). VirtualTexturingMemoryMode:0.1 = "Extra Small" // one of [Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large] everyone sets it to extra small. what is it, and what does it do. cuz i run a great system i513600kf and a brand new tuf 4080 super card. 32gb 6800mt ram. 240hz montior, lian li aio. you get it, but i got alot of problems. like texture loads slow when jumping out of parachute and in they are when i look at the hole map, it all loads up slowly as i come closer and point at the buildings and stuff. let me know if you want too help me find a solution then i can show you what i mean.
Its weird how it works for some people and some people it don't. I keep most of my graphics settings pretty low, I don't know if that has an effect it or not because of the VRam usage. One thing I noticed tho is sometimes it doesn't save after I change it so that might be happening for some people.
@@kermittdelrio2739 definitely boosted my fps but might make my game jumpy/sutterry .not sure it’s because of changes in the config file or the game poor optimisation.
I have probably a stupid questions, but im not sure, so i am going to ask u guys - Model AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor with 12 threads , should i put 6 or 12 in the Thread count for handing the job queue ?
No you actually put 5 .. For AMD you should put 1 less than your Core count. And not thread count.. But go ahead. try 12 or 11. will not be better than 5
dontr use efficiency cores they slow down your cpu then it has to speed back up which takes time causing you to get instamelted disable efficiency cores in bios then set your fraction to 12 ytou will get more fps from that too e cores are bad im a windows power user btw hags works better on in mw3 but off in mw2 for anyone wondering why mw3 feels better than mw2 this is it hags makes mw2 feel like slow motion

It’s called HAGS on your PC google it on how to find it but I don’t use it getting 212 fps with an RTX 3060 12gb.
what skin are you wearing in this video?
Dude i have 300 + fps now, thank you so much
What I don't understand is (correct me if I'm wrong) but changing the VRAM usage has absolutely zero effect on gaining fps especially when you're not even anywhere close to the max vram target. This has to be just a glitch and has no actual meaning behind it.
he is must of heard someone n just repeating bullshit like a NPC
If you increase vram (mhz of vram) it will process fps faster and will be more stable. In my opinion at least 32g of ram with the max mhz in the vram that your cpu can handle
@@KennethTA that I understand but increasing the target doesn't increase the mhz of the vram.
@@KennethTA for the sake of this video I went into my config and changed the vram target and like I thought, it did absolutely nothing. Video is total clickbait and nothing more.
@@YT_Booost yeah I also did the same. The vram target did go up but and I already had changed how many cores for in the config file. Now that I saw improvement but the vram target, no
I don't have either of the options at 1:57, I'm on an AMD rx 6700 xt, is there any way to get these settings to show up?
6000 series cards don’t have hardware acceleration only 7000 series
Almost all new games are forced windowed mode even if it says in game "full screen exclusive". DX12 games are all technically in a windowed mode so "optimizations for windowed games" should always be enabled!
fidelity cas also reduces fps use image scaling at native
You earned my sub.
Yea 3080 here made mine dip 20 FPS
what settings do you suggest for a 3050 ti with a i5-12500?
4 GB of vram = dont touch it, or try it but if you crash then you need more vram
@@blueberry20250 In rtx 3070 works 2.00000?
Just turn off resizeable bar support in your config cst files, that limits your cpu. Turn that off, turn on dlss and you’ll be over 200 fps
Where do you find this option ?
@@abedharb8485 CST config files, id look at a TH-cam video
it's weird, my CPU has around 3880 threads. what do i do know since it only allows up to 16?
option.4.cod23 where is steam version dude? i need it
Another thing to try is turning the resize bar option in the config under Graphics to “false”, only if you’re on Intel, at least for now. It dramatically helps your 1% lows. Resize bar is supposed to help performance but it doesn’t currently on Intel machines. Your average fps will drop but your lows should jump way up. Mine went from 280 avg/130 1% low to 250 avg/180 1% low ✌️❤️
Where ?
not just intel this works on my amd rig, if i look at the center of map with rebar on it drops to 90 -100fps with it off im hitting 200-230 looking at the same spot
Are you referring to GPUUploadHeaps:0.0 = 'true' to turn that to 'false'
@@KiloHydro AMD too? Damn. Yeah especially in Zombies I would go from 210 fps to 120 just based on where I was looking. Until I turned Re-bar off.
@@JohnSmith-xr9qi yup that’s the one
While I’m sure this helped you it does absolutely nothing for a Amd 5900/6800xt build w 64gigs of ram running 1440. Actually introduced some stuttering.
Great channel
Thanks for your effort Dude, great job👍🏻
Excuse my ignorance, but where should the highest bottleneck percentage be? in the gpu or in the cpu?
Its the weakest part so if your cpu is old and gpu is new then its your cpu and if your gpu is old and cpu is new most likely gpu but make sure your motherboard is also updated.
@@Evonthedaily I have an i9 and a rtx 4080, the bottleneck shows me 90% gpu...10% cpu
I also have i9 and 4080 and was get 210 max using Nvidia image scaling. I switched to 1440p and was well over 300.
@@got2084 what gen is your i9 if its 11th gen and bellow thats probably and whats your motherboard.
thank you great video
the thread count you talk about im not sure its threads. i have 20 threads but it seems the game has a max at 16. i have 14 cores. so it might be cores ??? and then i have some questions about some other settings in that cod folder "options.4.cod23"
there is this Sets which memory mode to use for physical textures. 0:Extra small (11x11, 121 slots), 1:Small (16x16, 256 slots), 2:Medium (23x23, 529 slots), 3:Large (32x32, 1024 slots), 4:Extra large (45x45, 2025 slots).
VirtualTexturingMemoryMode:0.1 = "Extra Small" // one of [Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large]
everyone sets it to extra small. what is it, and what does it do. cuz i run a great system i513600kf and a brand new tuf 4080 super card. 32gb 6800mt ram. 240hz montior, lian li aio. you get it,
but i got alot of problems. like texture loads slow when jumping out of parachute and in they are when i look at the hole map, it all loads up slowly as i come closer and point at the buildings and stuff. let me know if you want too help me find a solution then i can show you what i mean.
Why do my frames start dropping the second I start shooting?
2070 super and it didnt change it by a single fps
i'm using RX 570 8gb, is it okay if i set to 2.0000? or try 1.5 or lower
😂😂
did u try it???
didn't really do anything for me sadly
currently with a R7 5700x, 3060ti, 16gb RAM, what can i get with this specs? RN playing with an avg of 120fps, can i get more
you should be getting a little more
But using 90 percent gpu makes sense though. wouldnt setting this to 100 percent make it unstable?
Need help on mw3 why does it say I have a 6.55GB in vram which I have a total of 24GB installed into my laptop. Could anyone help me ?
Dude, Vram is in your GPU... You might have confused it with RAM
unfortunately the 2.0 thing didn’t do anything for me :/
Its weird how it works for some people and some people it don't. I keep most of my graphics settings pretty low, I don't know if that has an effect it or not because of the VRam usage. One thing I noticed tho is sometimes it doesn't save after I change it so that might be happening for some people.
@@KickRocksGamingChannel i’ll make sure it saved
The file config gave me 30 fps boost . Thank you legend 👍🏽👍🏽
For real ?I'm about to do it
@@kermittdelrio2739 definitely boosted my fps but might make my game jumpy/sutterry .not sure it’s because of changes in the config file or the game poor optimisation.

dude i have problem 100% gpu suge in loby and in the game its 70-80%

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor with 12 threads , should i put 6 or 12 in the Thread count for handing the job queue ?
Did you figure it out plus how many fos you get? I have a rtx 3060 n the same cpu
Put 5
@@gideonc744 vry funny, Fabio
No you actually put 5 .. For AMD you should put 1 less than your Core count. And not thread count.. But go ahead. try 12 or 11. will not be better than 5
dontr use efficiency cores they slow down your cpu then it has to speed back up which takes time causing you to get instamelted disable efficiency cores in bios then set your fraction to 12 ytou will get more fps from that too e cores are bad im a windows power user btw hags works better on in mw3 but off in mw2 for anyone wondering why mw3 feels better than mw2 this is it hags makes mw2 feel like slow motion
I have a 3070 and now I’m getting 220fps. What card do you have? I’m wondering if a 3070 can get 250+ like you are

my game stutters hard after playing about 2 games of warzone idk what to do

This is logical, because the video memory needs free space for the driver to work. And this youtuber's video has 20 gb of video memory, which does not lead to any effect

so isit cores or threads ? ive watched about 20 diff videos and you all say somthing different from each other lol
if you turn on HAGS you have to turn off nvidia reflex in game?
No.
