Your Dino knowledge scares me! For someone who is not a practicing scientist in the field, but only studies this for fun, you are so well spoken and sound as if you have 50 years experience behind your thoughts.
I'd like to see you do any others, or ALL others. I always find your videos insightful, entertaining, and how could anyone watch and not gain SOME knowledge.

I always think of ancient Greece with this.. Nowadays you need a PhD for almost anyone to believe you, back in ancient Greece it was just knowledge and if you had a lot you were a scientist, now you're "amateur scientist" I call bullshit.

Tarbosaurus is basically just cooler T. rex when you think about it.
it’s slightly smaller but faster and with an even proportionately larger head, smaller arms and the ability to lock its jaws like a pitbull and lived in an ecosystem with a smaller tyrannosaurid and a terrifyingly weird Deinocheirus.
Seriously Tarbosaurus (and Zhuchengtyrannus for that matter) deserve more love
Late but Zhuchengtyrannus definitely deserves to be in at least some type of media, probably in my opinion one of the more interesting tyrannosaurs.
Not trying to be a hater but a pit bull does NOT have any kind of anatomical adaptation or mechanism for locking its jaw. They don’t and can’t “lock” their jaw. It’s just a myth. The reason this particular myth is perpetuated so much is partly because of the bad reputation of the pit bull and partly because of this particular dog breed being known for being very tenacious/determined. They don’t give up easily, hence the thought that they are locking their jaw when they bite onto something but that don’t actually lock their jaw at all in any way whatsoever.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprissed if Tarbosaurus turned out to had evolved from those and that convergent eveolution cause it to became quite similar to Tyrannosaurus. Ok I see that was covered.
babehunter1324 tarbosaurus and bistahieversor are the only 2 general of tyrannosaurid to have that locking feature as opposed to maxillary flexibility
spoiler: it didn't. The whole Alioramus/Tarbosaurus pairing was a very dubious claim from the beginning relying on Alioramus' ontogeny and the unreasonable assumption that everything else but the "jaw-locking mechanism" was convergent (when in reality even different specimens of T.rex significantly varied in the articulation of the dentary with angular).
It’s important to note it even lived alongside another much smaller tyrannosaurid qianzhousaurus which had the same jaw locking mechanism. All in all a lot of Asian tyrannosaurids seem to be more advanced than their western counterparts given the huge differences in biology and ecological niches

Sounds like they have found skin impressions from Tarbosaurus that indicated it had scales over at least part of its body, including those areas where, for instance, Yutyrranus was shown to have feathers.
Love this videos, great learning per laugh value. Also there's been claims by Reddit management about the dinosaur world saying: "we feel that the Lambeosaurus is clearly the best dinosaur". So that'd be great dinosaur for the show if given the chance
I'd definitely say it's a Tyrannosaurus toy, because it's clearly of the Stock Dinosaur variety of toys. And pretty much, any large Tyrannosaur, if not stated otherwise, is T. Rex. I mean, I doubt the person who made it ever even thought about Tarbosaurus while sculpting it.
Pythons and boas have 2 claws on the base of their tail, and they do move almost like fingers. They’re used during mating, I’ve always thought Dinos with small arms where similar to this.

Even bigger tyrannosoids surely had at least some feathers .Even if we don't know it for sure ,there's quite some evidence for the feathers.(Yes ,I know ,there were skin impressions of tyrannosaurus which had scales, but that doesn't mean that he didn't have any form of feathers at all)

There was a fossil import scandal a few years back. The U.S. government (or at least U.S. Customs ) considers the fossil as Tyrannosaurs Bataar.

I have two of these tarbosaurus toys, both in the same color scheme, i always used them as twin baby t-rexes
It's kind of interesting that I saw this video just now since I was in AZ a couple of weeks ago and visited the Arizona Museum of Natrual where they have a Tarbosauraus mount. Except that they called it a Tyrannosaurus bataar, which I thought was interesting since I hadn't heard of any consensus onn the whole Tyrannosuarus vs. Tarbosaurus debate.
To compare again with a Cassowary; if the tyrannosaurids had bushy and dense feathers like a cassowary, it could've made the forelimbs look like they were hidden underneath the feathers similar to the claw like protrusions on a cassowary's wings. It would've made it look unique with its claws appearing through the dense feathers of its body.
Everyone else has badass names for their giant therapods. Australia fails to spell Raptor correctly, and instead of theif, uses some obscure medieval latin word; Rapator. Our largest therapod, (a likely megaraptoran of large size (8-10m long)from the Aptian), it is called: Violator that is similar to Ornithelestes.

Dogs are a pretty huge exception to the rule with evolution generally because they're domesticated. Many scientists don't even consider them to be a distinct species from wolves, just a subspecies. Selective breeding drastically speeds up morphological change.

I beg to differ, as both of them belong to the genus Crocodylus, while Tarbosaurus and Tyrannosaurus are two distinct - albeit closely related - genera. A more fitting analogy would probably be comparing Neofelis and Panthera.

We found a quarter sized patch of skin from the area at the base of the tail that had small geco like scales, but as most feathered creatures don't have them near the cloaca it is still possible

Ok, here's my argument for feathers on Tyrannosaurs, if Yutyrannus is from Mongolia, that's pretty close to China and since their both Tyrannosaurs, I think it makes sense if they both had feathers, if Tyrnnosaurus is related to Tarbosaurus in the fact their closely related and didn't end up in the same place, that would mean Tyrnnosaurus probably had feathers, the other way that they could be alike seems more on luck and since Pangea was a thing I think it's safe to say Tyrannosaurus had feathers, if you wanna argue with the new scale impressions, watch trey the explainer's video on it.
Yutyrannus is from China, not Mongolia, and it's NOT a tyrannosaurid, it's a tyrannosaurOid.
