PSA for anyone using a more recent version of Photoshop: if you don't get the transform controls surrounding your selection after duplicating, make sure to go up to the panel above the photo and tick the little box that says "show transform controls". I couldn't change the size of the selection until I ticked that box, and it took me way too long to figure out what was wrong so I figured I'd share this for anyone else who might be having the same problem! :)

With the new Photoshop, drag it up to the image you want to move it to, keep the mouse clicker down, then wait until that image opens, then drag the cut out image down to where you want it. I figured this out by trial and error. Also, there is a brush history tool now when you go to trimming & blending in.
