Not ugly!! I know exactly what you mean when comparing the artistic journals... I am an artist, but I haven't the gift to make those pages filled with pictures, stickers, and washi yet still write appointments or journal. You are a functional planner and I appreciate the difference. I have a morning review of my weekly page wherein I add appointments and tasks noted on those pages onto my daily page. Since I am disabled, I block weekly times of the day when I am usually pain free and have more energy. During those times, I schedule tasks. Then at the end of the day I check my daily to see what needs migrating to another time/day and journal how the day went.
Morning time only takes a few minutes, evening I take as much time as I want.

I love that printout you used! Where can it be found?

For the timeline, the reason it's printed like that is so you can use your stencil to block out the time. so if you're meeting is from 9am-10am you block out the line between 9 and 10am, and just write meeting next to it, that way you can see that the meeting goes from 9 till 10am, it's not a time list, it's a time line, so the line under 9 represents 9am-10am. hope this helps. wish I could post a picture for you to help more.

Really appreciated your video! Thank you for telling us about your thought process and steps toward realizing your planning groove. I feel like that aspect of planner videos is usually missed or not articulated very well, but you did a very nice job in your video!
The way that I use the time line in my cousin is by drawing a bracket for the duration of appointments that I have rather than just writing them on the line for the time for when it begins. Not suggesting that you change yours at all!! Just saying I think that might be how the time line was originally designed - however I like your interpretation. Glad it works for you!

+jenmckeeman I'm actually exploring different/better ways to utilise the time line so your comments are very useful! I'm considering doing all my scheduling & time tracking on the weekly view instead so drawing a bracket would be a good way to differentiate what is scheduled vs what actually happened. Thanks for taking the time to comment! 😁

Gosh, I could relate to so many things you said. Timeline, stickers, not flipping back to my weekly page...

One of my fave videos - I plan similarly as well! I think your simple designing looks beautiful though! Nothing overwhelming. Looking forward to watching more of your planner videos!

+Rowena Thanks for watching! Yes, plain and simple planning seems to work best for me but I can never resist placing some washi or stickers for a bit of colour 😊

Hey this is kind of late, but it's cool to write tasks on a vellum sticky note. You can transfer the note as many times as you want while keeping the "grid" in the background.

I cover my numbers on the daily with tip-ex (washout)tape/ fluid. Take that stress and keeps it with clear look page

it might help you to reference your weekly every night (or morning however you do it) when you sit down to plan your next day, you have to make it a habit, it's so nice having everything in one book and the cousin is definatly big enough for what your doing in that travelers notebook, wouldn't it make way more sense to use the weekly in your cousin? just move your tasks or anything you need to be aware of on your weekly and evaluate ever morning what you can do from it that day.

+Mary DeTray It's just personal preference and the way that I like to plan. I prefer having my weekly view separate because there were times when I needed just a weekly calendar to schedule, and I didn't want to lug my Cousin around to do that. Plus I wasn't a huge fan of the vertical weekly layout - again, just personal preference. And I just enjoy using multiple planners :) But of course everyone plans differently and what makes sense to me might not make sense to others. In the end I moved to an A6 with a separate weekly and it's working out better for me.

I like the separate book and have thought about doing that too for one of the same reasons as you... I want it open on my desk all the time. Out of sight, out of mind.

I cover up the time bar with washi tape as well! I found I didn't really like using it anyway :)

Nic job. The matchy part of me would want to use the Weeks in the Giramondo. ;)

+Chris Price I tried that first but couldn't get over the fact that the Weeks wasn't the same height as the Giramondo 😂
