Thanks for your reply, I have made arrangements to return the double GT2 because I think it was definitely faulty. The adjustable pushed bottom that is attached to the handlebar arrives unattended. I ❤ it so I'm looking forward to buy another one hopefully the next will be fine
Great point! The GT2 double should fit through most standard external and internal doorway BUT you have to go through dead straight or you'll scrape the sides.
Are the canopy suppose to be mesh or plastic for the peek a boo? I see all the videos show plastic but mine came with mesh. Please let me know and great review
Either option is going to be checked in as baggage so it's not going to make a huge difference one way or another specifically while flying. The city tour 2 double is more compact so might be more convenient when travelling. Especially if you're going to a city where you might be going to restaurant, on busy/narrow footpaths, or travelling on public transport etc. But the GT2 double gives you better performance so if you're on a more adventurous holiday it might be a better option. I hope that helps at all.
Hi Lauren, there's no capsules compatible with the city tour 2 double. There is for the single model but not the double version because the seats are quite narrow on the double so a capsule wouldn't be able to fit. Let me know if you have any questions.
If you're looking for a double that can handle a standard carseat(s), there's the Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. You can purchase the carseat adapter set that can carry 2 carseats (any brand) at once.
That's good to know. Although I just had a look and it looks like the strap in all the images online goes through the "taxi" belt path. Which we don't have on Australian capsules. Although I'm now wondering if that's why Australian Maxi Cosi capsules have a plastic bit that sticks out the sides in that same spot. It looks like that's where you could hook the strap over. I could be wrong. Although ironically if I'm right the thing they've added to make them compatible with this type of capsule attachment makes them too wide for some other strollers that the overseas maxi Cosi does fit. Either way, very interesting! And great suggestion for a compact double that can take one or two capsules.
Hi Lou Lou, great questions! The City Mini GT2 Double is 77.5cms wide and the Bugaboo Donkey is 75cms wide. So the GT2 Double is slightly wider. I can reach out to bugaboo to see if they would be open to allowing me to borrow a pram for a side by side comparison video, but in the meantime the key differences are as follows: The GT2 Double folds all in one. Bugaboo Donkey it is POSSIBLE to fold the with both seats attached, however it is impractically bulky to then lift in one piece. The Bugaboo Donkey seats can be turned forward and parent facing. GT2 Double seat is fixed forward facing. The Donkey seats are narrower, whereas the GT2 Double seats are one of the biggest double seats on the market. The GT2 Double can only be used as a double. The Donkey converts single to double. The Bugaboo Donkey offers the options of one or two capsules. If you're located in Australia the City Mini GT2 Double isn't approved for any capsule, and if you're in the USA it will only take one capsule. Both have the option of bassinets. I hope that helps at all! I'll let you know if I can coordinate a side by side comparison video because I think it would be a really interesting video! Let me know if you have any questions! - Rachel
Hi there, unfortunately the accessories aren't compatible between them (belly bar, bassinets etc) the glider board won't fit the tour 2 double. I think the only accessory that fits both is the parent organiser.
Hi Stefan, They are very different designs of pram so no spare parts would be compatible between them either. If you're looking for a reasonably compact, narrow double stroller that's a bit more all terrain the Mountain Buggy Duet. I feel like it fits directly between the Baby Jogger tour 2 and GT2 double in terms of size, weight, and dimensions. You can find the dimensions for all three models compared in "Best Double Prams 2023" www.parentingcentral.com.au/best-double-prams-australia-2023/ Let me know if you have any other questions!

Amazing video! Exactly what I needed to make a decision. Much appreciated x
I'm so glad it helped! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Great question! I believe all the newer baby jogger models have mesh rather than plastic. Regards, Rachel.
Would you say the GT2 is ideal for flying?

is the city tour 2 mini car seat compatable
Hi Lauren, there's no capsules compatible with the city tour 2 double.
There is for the single model but not the double version because the seats are quite narrow on the double so a capsule wouldn't be able to fit.

Can you use the graco infant car seat adapter on the tour 2 double stroller?
There's no car seats that will fit the city tour 2 double. The width on the seats is too narrow to fit a capsule.

Is there a case to put the GT2 double in when flying?
There is a Baby Jogger double carry bag that fits the city mini GT2 Double though I'm unsure if this is still available in Australia.
can you compare the gt2 double against the donkey duo? width especially?
Hi Lou Lou, great questions! The City Mini GT2 Double is 77.5cms wide and the Bugaboo Donkey is 75cms wide. So the GT2 Double is slightly wider.

What about wheels?

Hmmm I need to go see this in person!
I think when you see them in person the size difference is much more obvious and usually makes the decision a lot easier!
How to fix the handle bar
Hi Karen, best thing would be to contact Baby Jogger directly.
Very helpful video. I fort i had found a great, then i realised it wasn't the one i wanted! Thnks!
You're welcome! Glad to have helped!
She didn't mention that the smaller one can go through doors! A big plus!
But the smaller one doesn't self-stand, which is super annoying when you're out at restaurants, on the train/bus, etc.
Great video 😀
Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions I don't cover in the video? 🥰
Thank you so much for this video!
Thank you!
