    Underrated... by me.
I never thought that much of this until it popped up in a recent playlist and as soon as it started I'm like, Who's this?
2 minutes in and I'm racking my brains, it's so familiar and BRILLIANT!
4 minutes and I'm away with it but still non the wiser so I go and have a look who it is... Syd! Lanky!
Felt a bit ashamed at not having sussed it immediately.
Have you got it yet? Yeah just now.

Same, this came up on a playlist and I was really digging it. I love Syd, but a lot of his stuff on Opel just didn’t do it for me. This track surprised me.

Syd Barrett wrote 52 songs. Who managed to get Syd into the studio in 1974??? Good guitar work.🎸 So he could still play!!! Nobody knows why he didn't do anything anymore, only the Barrett family. Visited Pink Floyd in the studio in 1975. Nobody recognized Syd. He often jumped up, took out his toothbrush and brushed his teeth. Did Syd ever have therapy??

The healthy Syd Barrett was very creative. He was a talented, gifted young man. The first record with Pink Floyd The Piper...... is a good record.. Unfortunately Syd had the wrong friends. He took LSD several times a week. That's too much. No brain can handle that!!! He became lethargic..... He didn't live in the here and now..... He was mentally absent... He had thinking and speech disorders.... He was no longer productive... He could no longer play the right scales.... He wanted to climb walls.... He wanted to start a cult..... He wanted to get married and become a doctor.... He wanted to hit his sister Rosemary on the head with his guitar 🎸... At 22, Syd was a sick person. Syd wrote another 52 songs. 🎞️🎥 His whole life should be made into a film. I'm interested in how Syd lived with his illness? I don't know if he ever found redemption or peace for his soul.

So glad Roger Waters took over. Pink Floyd in the 70s is better than any band at any time. You can take David Gilmour's version for the last 30 years, and ... no one ever talks about it, ever.

does someone know the musicians who play in the this song?

    • @darkglobe80

Serj From the brilliant book "Random Precision" by David Parker, he suggests that Steve Took from Tyrannosaurus Rex is on drums (page 132) the others just listed as session musicians but could have been Blinky Davidson from The Nice and maybe Junior from Tomorrow..
