Okay. I am just going to say this. You just became my go to channel for fragrance reviews. Just started collecting and trying out (33yo). But I just picked up on the Afnan line and I viewed your video of all them together and I been eyeing this one. In my head I am thinking potential bonfire type smell (love the smell of a burning bonfire). ANYWAYS! When you said I don't look at it in terms of percentages and you openly admitted that you wouldn't be able to blindly tell the two apart in public. That showed you keep it real.
I got my Afnan Supremacy Incense today. I am in love! At first, when you spray it, the oregano comes out but when it dries, it smells like a wonderful church incense. I do not think it is that smoky. I give this 5 stars.
Im glad I've bought it so I could experience it for myself, but I also wish I'd listened to your reviews a bit more and avoided it, as it's not a fragrance I can imagine myself ever choosing to wear!
Got to try this one last month actually and really enjoyed it. I have both Interlude and Shaghaf Oud Abyad and I like it better than the Swiss Arabian version. Somewhat ironically, I could easily recommend it to the aspiring newbie looking to expand their palette. They'll likely hate it at first, but years later they could be all over it. By then, we may not have an economy. 🤣 Great review Paul!
@@Abdal_Khan10 The scent profile is the same but the Afnan turns the volume of the oregano and sweetness down a bit (and I mean a bit) and increases the incense in the base. If the Swiss Arabian is a burned piece of sweet barbequed pork, the Afnan is a charred barbequed steak. 😄 Less expensive too. But the differences are more noticeable in the cold. Can't go wrong with either, but the Afnan is still better value imo and with a nicer bottle. Hope that helps!

Yeah I think you're right, at 40 quid you can't really go wrong with a blind buy. I've seen a few people say this one gets worse with time though and kinda backwards-macerates so something to keep in mind.
Take no notice of the fools mate. How do them idiots know how long it’s been sat in a warehouse before they received it?? There’s a lot of nonsense in frag com and you need to be careful what info you decide to absorb. 👍
Some people have heard the word 'maceration' in connection with the perfume parlour and now apply the word to every fragrance....Next people will be saying original dior fragrances need macerating. 😂😂😂
This one is NOT a safe blind buy, but boy does it intrigue me. Not for everyone for sure, sample if you can. But if you want to smell unique, give it a try.
Greets video Paul. I got the supremacy line as well and I was thrown back by the quality. This frag though you were spot noticing the switch. At times I find it too sweet but then at certain times it’s herby and woody. Through a great scent especially for the price and please do not overspray (that’s from me who loves overspraying lol)
Agreed... I love how articulate and focused his reviews are. I've come to trust his reviews. Over time I've purchased this entire line thanks to his excellent reviews. I love that even if he's not a fan of any particular scent profile, he still does an excellent job describing it for those who may enjoy it. A true aficionado indeed~

Love this stuff. It's my most complimented frag. I live in a hippie college town, so naturally SI/IM is a big hit with the locals. Costume National makes a greenish version of SI/IM called Secret Woods. It's also very, very good.

I just hot it 3 days ago and i just fall in love with it. It’s definitely different. I’m gonna hide it for special occasions

If the oregano is too much I suggest to layer it with Blue Oud by Al Maghribi. DId that today and got a unique smell
I own a llot of Frags...This one is one of my absolute favorites. It is intense but, I can't get enough of it. Smells almost like Midnight Oud.

Hi russ, yes rare carbon is meant to be a good alternative to Tom Ford ombré leather but I’ve not smelled it myself. 👍
