Just bought a 2024 yesterday and doing this same exhaust setup. Sounds really good!!
The warranty does not get “voided” with a tune and exhaust….. unless they are able to prove that those things specifically contributed to the failure of a part that you are trying to warranty So with exhaust the only thing that gets voided for warranty would be the stock exhaust system. As long as you install it correctly, then there’s nothing to worry about. The same thing with the BT-Moto tune. Dealerships don’t really care about the tune on the bike. The only thing that you need to make sure that you’re not doing is sitting there, bouncing off the rev limiter For shows. While the launch control sounds cool, it records the data and how long you do it for, with a date stamp, time, throttle position, what gear you’re in, what speed you’re going, how long you bounce off the limiter for. If you over rev it, Those are the things that would result in a denial of a claim if you were to blow your motor. But the warranty on the rest of the bike is still good They don’t just have a giant void stamp the second you get a tune. And with your service, each time you go in, make sure that the tune is taken off the bike. Super easy to do with the handheld. The only reason you do this is so in case they do an update for your ECU, you’re not going to have a bricked ECU on your hands. Then once you get the bike back, you just re-upload the tune just in case anyone needed to know
Good points thx
@@cyclefanatixsport No problem brother
BT Moto does wonders. Have it on my GS and changed the bike entirely 💯🤙
You need the OFT for the Duc Baby!!!!! Shiv is the MAN on the Ducati!!!
@@redrider0151 Tell me again where I need to go?!
Waiting on the next video bro! Hope all is well!🤘🏻
Bike sounds amazing!!! I'm jealous!!😁
SWEET!!! Cant wait to do mine!. John, you need to go into your menu to change your redline on your dash....you still have it at 8k.. :D. It also will change the shift light as well....I was shocked it was a menu option.... Also glad you and Sandy had a safe trip dude...POUNDING out those miles!! Cant wait to see you switch that bagger over to a REAL bike!! 😛
Haha 🤙
Thanks for your videos. Your explanations are very clear 😊😊😊. I am hesitating to do the BT flash. I have 2020 model and I am afraid to break my engine.
Your bike is very beautiful and your mods are excellent 👌🏻
go to your BMW dealership and have them put in the Torque Map. They should do it for free and if you aren't happy they will convert it back to stock for free.
Ok. Thank you reply. I am from France. I will let you know. Hope you are aware about the torque map.
@@MA-bq8yg I was under the impression that the EU tune didn't have the same restrictions that we do in the US. I would join the s1000rr UK forum and look into that to make sure.
Great stuff I'm learning a ton here. thank you. Is this bike more comfortable than the Busa for a tall rider?
I would say it’s very close
Another tip, you can start the bike before the screen is completely on.
increased 60 HP????? wtf. dude. that thing is gonna be more SICK than it already is.... nice detailed video and explanation. can't wait for this maiden voyage 😂
😆🤙🤙
BMW limits the ETV heavily on these bikes, that's the tables that they kill 2nd, 5th and 6th gears in. The bike is rich up top and lean as crap down low, so says my wideband and Woolich software shows. Gotta love our EPA trying to control everything they can lol
@@jasonisdn awesome info
Its 50-60 hp in the MIDRANGE....not peak hp. From 5-8k the bike is slower than 600's in stock form....the throttle is limited to like 25-30%....its ridiculous how choked down BMW has it....dunno if its EPA or noise or what that requires them to do this. Ducati limits theirs as well, but NOTHING like BMW....its the european manufacturers...although MV Augusta doesnt.... :D
@@redrider0151 yeah I have the tables in front of me. It's the EPA for noise and emissions. There is a sticker on the bike that says, "Motorcycle noise emission control information" it's on the left on the frame. They neuter it more than 25% or 30% also, the EVT tables have some limits that only allow 35% to be applied. They did it up high also in 5th and 6th, but there is a little more power to be found up there by getting the AFR right. I'm getting closer on mine, love some auto tune lol.
Love the bike. Excellent video!
Thanks! 👍
For the stage 2 are you planning get off the iat relocation and flapper delete? Or just shoot the stage 2 no need those relocation and flapper delete?
I think I’m staying stage one
Can you do a decibel test for the stock muffler ?
the folks at BT MOTO are geniuses and they made my s1000xr an absolute beast now at stage 2. Grampys rocket RIPSSSSSS!!!! Go ahead and do the stacks and filter and relocate the iat
Had my 24XR done .. stage one .. an absolute blast and responds the way it’s supposed to !
As a new XR owner, what sort of power do you think I'll get with it?
Stock is pretty nuts as is.
@@Jake23115 Hey Bud 🤜🏽🤛🏾 Im guessing if you just do the bt moto stage 1 tune with a better filter and a pro race slip-on, you will think you have a whole different bike. So probably 165 wheel hp and actual 84 ft/lbs torque to the wheel. The main advantage is the linear hp and torque thru all of the gears. It pulls like a mf in 6th gear even. All this and all day comfort. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. Id like to take it to the track with @cubanrider
for the Us models that comes restricted bt does a difference , for the Eu no point ,i ha ve a dino stock a ddino after decat and a dino after decat plus bt ,,, nothing :)
perfect you have removed a doubt. also I in Italy have the 2024 and I just installed the collectors Akra. yours how much hp did to the dino?
@@marcocas79 if you only do full pipe and no tune you lose some low end power and few bhp . Once tuned you go to factory performance but you have a louder bike:)) Also the smell is strong :) But yeah sounds better , i did not even feel an ijmprovement on third gear or a flat spot ...it s all advertising ,,,probabily a stage 2 can make a digference but you risk engine dmage . So bike stock does about 192 bhh to wheel , if you decat without soft 191 after bt tune you end up192-193 :))
I have a question please respond. So new s1000RR waiting for first service they’re all booked up until September. From the beginning I noticed ticking… sounds similar to modern VVT ticking. Now that I’m listening closely I always hear it throughout the rev range… is this bike always ticky and noisy up front?
Yes, you definitely hear the motor working. Just make sure your oil level is good and take it in for first service.
@@cyclefanatixsport cool just wanted confirmation from another owner. Oil level good… service not until September…….. should I not ride it until then?
between your hayabusa(where is that at anyway ?) and the s1000RR, which one has the smoothest quickshifter/autoblipper ?
It’s very close, but I would probably have to give it to the Busa
Is the busa gone?
Gone
yup, did this on my 23 GSA and it rips, stage 2 with everything done. I destroy other stock GS and I'm 270 pounds, no kidding and wheelie the snot out of it.....
I bet !! 🤙
You miss your Busa? I had one and wound up getting a ZX10R…really love it too. But do miss the Busa at times.
I don’t. This bike has everything I need
Does the BT flash not void your bmw warranty...that's the only thing putting me off from flashing mine.
I’m assuming it will
@FastRRak then for most folks there's almost no point in buying new no?
@@samuelkrahn BT moto did an entire video with a BMW service manager about this. It does not void your warranty but can affect certain claims.
@ddel5240 that's what I'm concerned about...I hate the flat spot but love my warranty...not sure what to go with.
@@cyclefanatixsport I had a long talk with my dealer about it. Short version, they said don't touch the RPM limiter or rev bomb the bike and you won't have any warranty problems.
