- This is the story of my journey across Corsica on the GR20 in November 2021...
There were many ups and downs, plans changed and obstacles to overcome, but Corsica is a beautiful island, full of wonderful people and I will definitely be back!
It was also my first time travelling overseas since the start of the COVID19 pandemic, so it was interesting seeing how that panned out with crossing boarders....
See you soon Corsica!!

So brave to do it during the winter. All the best for your next attempt!
Bravo, bravo et bravo
Did the refuges have gas stoves that operate in November? Did you Carry a portable stove?
I did carry a portable stove as an emergency back up, but all the refuges had stoves with gas that you could use. I just completed the GR20 with my friend (new video to follow, but it takes ages to edit so it probably wont be online till next year!) I did the south half with the refuges open and then they shut 2 days into the north half of the route. So I can confirm that Ciottulu du Pobi, Tighjettu, Haut Asco and Carrozzu are all open this winter. Also I believe that L'Onda, Petra Piana and Manganu will also be open.
