I would like to imagine that sometime during the Victorian Era;(1837-1901), a family was sailing Toy Sailboats on the Canal. Maybe while the Mom/Dad were helping theirvkids to launch their Boats, Mom's Cameo fell off her Dress Collar? It then landed in the mud at the bottom of the Waterway. There it sat for 150+ years.... until NORTHANTS came along & fished it out of its "watery grave."😉 In reality;(and more than likely), the thieves who stole the Cameo & other jewelry from someone's Safe sorted out the valuables & thinking the Cameo was "Costume jewelry," tossed the Cameo into the Canal with the empty Safe that once held it.🤔
