I'm learning so much about ponds. Just dug a 30'x24' pond in my backyard. I'm excited to raise my own water lilies. Getting started on it while the pond is in progress. I learned so much from you. It's appreciated!
Hi, Brian. Loved this video! Almost think the pool has to come out of Rick's backyard because pond is Way Cooler! Seriously, the pond is gorgeous! I also loved the water feature at Rosemont building. The plants made the big difference for me and love the tree. Great video!
Thanks for the great video. I am living in Singapore and i have no problem with the season and temperature. my husband and I will more to US soon. and i want to continue to grow water lilies, I wonder how they can survive during the winter ?
Beautiful water features. Aquascapes should make end caps to attach the the ends of the cuts on the lips of the bowls. It would make them look thick and finished.
I agree! Even just a touch up on the black paint where they cut the slits would of been nice! Everything looks amazing and well thought out. But leaving the exposed cut outs worn-out & white looks like an eye sore. 😣
You just inspire me I have a very small yard and have a water feature I created but seeing the slate fountain walls is great! I would love to have you guys come to WI
Hey guys what a display love it the spill bowls look awesome with the stacked slate wall I am getting ready to purchase a wall Pretty soon keep the videos coming and keep up the excellent work !!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your informative videos,. Can you plant dormant bulbs directly into pea gravel in zone nine central coast of California very rarely freezes. If so, what depth?
Wish you could help the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Went there yesterday and the water features were not good and they had major algae issues and crews trying to manage the water plant growth.
Wow! You build beautiful ponds!! Enjoyed your videos. We have a large Oase Biotech Screenmatic2 filter that's just sitting at one end of the water fall with the plastic top unsightly exposed The top of the cover is flushed with the top of the spill way...not sunken the making hiding it challenging. We live in KANSAS where the winter is harsh. What do you suggest we can use to conceal the ugly plastic cover measuring about 2'++ by 3'++...any plants (stone?) that will do the job YEAR-ROUND without leaving the area exposed in the winter AND also can be easily removed so we can get to the cover for regular clearing? Any advice is much appreciated. challenging.
In my experience with my own pond, they will get root bound. But don't worry, remove it and just drop it in. Unless you have fish that eat them. When I used to separate and replant my lilies, I would put the tube in a 5 gallon bucket with a clay type of soil and cover with some rocks being mindful of any growth. I put the bucket in the pond with a rope and leave it usually for the entire season. Next season I grab the rope ,pull it up , remove the entire root bound plant and drop it in my pond. A free growing lily will have bigger pads and more flowers. Again, just a guy with a big pond and not a professional 😁
Love the fact that you didn't put high maintenance fish in the public building. I've seen many fish suffer, where they are not looked after by an individual who's attached.
Great video with one small disappointment - loved the special project result but having mentioned the great lighting at night there was no film of the effect ……I soooo wanted to see that …maybe a revisit at night please ?
DISEASE TRANSMISSION RISK ?? What would happen if the fish in the first pond, where the lilly was growing, had symptoms of disease or were carriers of disease? If that were the case then the water lilly, the soil it's rooting in and it's container might harbour lots of different nasty pathogens. If any snails or snail eggs were on the lilly could they act as vectors? What's the best method by which a pond-fish owner might ensure newly introduced ornamental water plants don't introduce inadvertent death to expensive pet fishes?
Those pebbles looked too small with those size fish. Stones need to be at least 2” so the fish don’t spit the rocks on the floor. I line my pots with 4-5” river stone and I find that’s a good size that keeps them from spitting them out of the pot and aesthetically pleasing.
Both the pond and the waterscape were absolutely stunning. I paid 22,000 to have a business put in a koi pond in my back yard and 3 years late its a disaster. So disappointed.
The problem we had with lilies is that they drawn snakes. The snakes kill or eat our fish. Therefore , we have given up on lilies. We have ferns on the rocks going almost in to the pond. The ferns provide needed shade. We have to be careful not to attract snakes or alligators/
Agreed. I have put water lilies in my pond ( I could barely lift them) with deep gravel topping and tied in mesh over the top. Within days the Koi had tipped them over, got in and eaten the lot. I was hoping for some tips from this video, but no luck.

How many gallons is the pond? Its beautiful!!!
I was doing some online training and had a few question. Could you add a link for questions at the end of each lesson? Love what your doing.

challenging.
Replace it with a Biofalls
Thank you for your reply.
so great!
I dropped some hardy lillies in my pond but the water is too deep for some even with a cinder block under them (about 6" under), will they survive?
Can the lilly stay in the pot full time or does it get root bound? Thanks for video

Awesome! 👍
My pond is 4 1/2 feet deep. No ledges. Will water Lillie’s grow being that deep?
how many water pump in your water pond looks great
Where did you place the pump motor/filter?
I just like to hear you talk!
Sir I love your videos and the way you present them ! In fact you inspired to me start my own channel 😊 Love from India #indianaquaboy03
Love you to do a wildlife pond for newts frogs 🐸 and dragonflies and other insects 🌈🦋🐝🕊
Does the depth of the pot dictate the size of the pad?
Water lillies hate heavy flowing water. It would have loved the standing water at the other end.
Can't seem to find the rosesmont build.?
Where is this place
Who is building Aquascape Ponds in Fort Lauderdale, FL? I'm in love with them...lol. I want to volunteer to learn. FREE LABOR!!!
Small pond like mine loves a dwarf lilly.

Paint the inside of your cut outs on the bowls black... the light color ruins the finish look
Agreed!

My mom loves water lily and lotus

The fishes won't eat leaf?

My fish eat EVERYTHING ! Lilys are a snack !

"5 tips" it was more like a content creator vlog with next to no tips.
I want to see it at night
Is it just me or is the title totally wrong?…. Urghhh?
So the lily is destined to die then, or are you in California??? Lol
Where were the 5 tips for planting water lilies 😒
Are you stealing the plant????😗
I think they got permission
