I really like my Storm. I run the same ESC as you and a hobbywing 17.5 motor 25 tooth pinion, 76 spur gear, jconcepts pindowns on the rear, jconcepts swaggers on the front.
Hey Razor just got my sons each a Storm I have stripped out the bleeder on the shock caps by accidentally drilling the bleed hole a little to large Would the JConcepts shock caps work with a different mount kit instead of the ball snap style
Have you weighed the truck with body and battery on? I think I remember their buggy being significantly under race weight. I know this obviously doesn’t have the carbon chassis, but just curious.
lorrylemming yeah, there’s a lot of weird stuff like that. The rear shock bottoms also use the small ball studs, I swapped the rod ends and ball studs to the larger 4.8mm from the lay down.
When you say "2 gear" when referring to the diff, you're referring to using 2 planet gears, instead of all 4, correct? What are the advantages/disadvantages to using 4, 3, or 2?
Minty's Garage right, 2 planetary gears instead of 4. Less and more linear diff action IMO, the 4 gear seems to more aggressively bite than the 2 gear.
Planning on picking one of these up, but am gonna wait until I see your full review/compare video! Thanks for the content!

Awesome vids. Just bought storm st. Look into Yokomo 4wd buggy yz4-sf2. Would love to see you do a video.
Also do you have a referral code for discount RC.
What oils did you end of running front and rear?
Looks like a great Truggy. Great video as lways. Can't wait for a new 4wd buggy video. Haha preasure Razor.
If you're thinking what I'm thinking, I'm thinking you'll be pleased in a few days. 👍😀

Are the hinge pins threaded or held in with set screws? Strange if they changed from the Laydown.
lorrylemming they’re threaded now like a Traxxas Rustler. 🙄
@@RazorRC the KF2 and KR had threaded ones. That's a strange step back, the mix of rod end types also makes me wonder what the thought process was.

Proline tires are trash on carpet or turf. Schumachers are best. If front staggers do not give enough steering due to their size go with jc swaggers
