I’m 24 and still don’t understand how to use makeup and what skin care to use. It’s all confusing and expensive to buy. I usually like the natural look with a little bit of mascara, fill in the eyebrow, and chapstick. That’s it for me. I have bad acne and oily skin so wearing foundation is a nightmare for me. I love this video. It makes me feel less afraid to try a simple skin routine and makeup look that looks beautiful.
This is the most realistic makeup routine on TH-cam loll there’s no cut crease or crazy complicated eyeshadow or eyeliner, it’s just a woman finding products that work for her and are easy to use :’) I love gab so much, she has such soothing, wholesome energy
Yeah, but you have to realize that most people, even the people who do those overly complicated makeup looks, aren't doing that for every day wear. It's usually just for fun or special occasions, if even the latter. You're usually not going to look up a tutorial for every day makeup on youtube (of which there are many) and the follow a ridiculously complicated look. 🤣 I mean, you can if you want.

So I am a person that wears makeup like go big or go home 😂 and through this video everything you said was great! Only one suggestion, with your concealer pat instead of rub, the pulling motion is a little damaging to the eye cause it's so delicate and the concealer will probably look a little better as well!
I saw this and was debating whether to say that too! Fingers are fine, but pulling the skin while applying skincare/makeup will also make the skin wrinkle faster and I'm pretty sure we all want to avoid that!
Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. Applying things with your fingers is fine, as long as you pat and don't pull/drag. Especially since she struggles with dark under-eye circles.
If you're looking for color correction, some drug store concealers are brilliant and affordable! As a guy that wears make up, it can be hard to find products that stay. Maybelline is pretty good.

What a nice video, so relaxing! You're stunning with or without make up darling, but that extra support to look more awake and put togheter it's always good. The only time I use make up is when I have to cover some redness or for black circles, mostly if I have a night out or some special occasion, don't care if I'm a man, I'm not going to a wedding looking like someone punched me in the eyes!
I would love a low maintenance makeup community! Lol. I used to be really into doing my makeup, and nothing against those who like getting all done up, but I personally feel so much better when I look more natural

Gab! You're doing great but you really should be more gentle when applying your skin products! Be a bit more gentle and use your ring fingers to tap/blend your concealer under your eyes. Doing this will blend it out nicely without losing any pigment and you might even need to use less. Also wiping under your eyes over time will start exaggerating wrinkles there. Otherwise it's totally fine to use your fingers since I still do that all the time, I don't know why but brushes always give me a hard time :)
I agree. I was a bit spooked with the way she applied the primer, if I do that my face will turn red for hours, but I can't lie it's so practical hahaha
I second this! The skin around our eyes is soooo delicate, we have to be very gentle. Gab, just softly pat your concealer on, and wipe by blotting, rather than a wiping motion. You look gorgeous with and without the makeup! 🙌
I’m glad I’m not the only one that kinda freaked seeing her rub her face that hard. I only use my ring fingers to apply stuff to my eyes since they’re typically the weakest fingers and most gentle. I’m so scared of getting saggy under eyes or drooping eyelids like my grandmothers that I’m as careful as I can be in that area.
Also you don’t need to listen to any advice like “wear blue eyeshadow if you have ___ eyes” or “wear pink if you’re pale!! I’m the palest shade in most brands of foundation and honestly I love browns (both warm and cool tones)!! A neutral shade all over the eyelid, followed by a darker brown on the outer edge, and finish with a little shimmer on the inner corner! It’s literally so easy and foolproof ❤️

I highly recommend the caffeine solution from the ordinary. It targets dark circles and you put it on before eye cream, it's worked for me so far and it's quite affordable.

I guess she got the money for it duh. And it's not hard doing a little research on which products are the best out there, and it usually the high end products who are. Plus she did mention she's tried a lot of other products before that she wasn't pleased with.
tbh i think a lot of people who just want normal daily makeup are going to go for good, basic, high end products, because they’re usually gonna be good and easy to use given the price point (unless budget is an issue then they’ll go for drugstore brands) and these people are not looking to use makeup as a creative outlet. so it makes a lot of sense to me.
as a gay guy who happens to watch a bunch of makeup content even though I don’t wear it myself just cuz I find it entertaining this was very unexpected from you lol. seeing you step outside your comfort zone and try content like this even though you probably feel awkward doing it is really endearing 😁

What kind of sunscreen do you use that isn't a greasy, nasty, hot mess? My face feels so much more oily and sticky if I use sunscreen, I hate the stuff, and we need it because the sun is terrible to our skin.
@@lokicooper4690 Ive been using one specifically made for faces, there's tons of brands out there that vary depending on if you have oily or dry skin (im kinda a combo/dry). The brand I use specifically is Coppertone pure and simple botanicals. If you find it burns your eyes then I think one without zinc oxide can help. I also start with a base of squaline oil which I think helps make the sunscreen less tacky. It actually makes my skin pretty glowy and dries matte enough that I can still paint on my eyebrows.

I'm a guy but I have really dark eye bags even when I get enough sleep. I might try out the Ren dark circle eye cream.

i second shipper08! a peach coloured concealer/colour corrector can help reduce the appearance of your dark eye circles.

Also you don’t need to listen to any advice like “wear blue eyeshadow if you have ___ eyes” or “wear pink if you’re pale!! I’m the palest shade in most brands of foundation and honestly I love browns (both warm and cool tones)!! A neutral shade all over the eyelid, followed by a darker brown on the outer edge, and finish with a little shimmer on the inner corner! It’s literally so easy and foolproof ❤️

I highly recommend the caffeine solution from the ordinary. It targets dark circles and you put it on before eye cream, it's worked for me so far and it's quite affordable.

I guess she got the money for it duh. And it's not hard doing a little research on which products are the best out there, and it usually the high end products who are. Plus she did mention she's tried a lot of other products before that she wasn't pleased with.
tbh i think a lot of people who just want normal daily makeup are going to go for good, basic, high end products, because they’re usually gonna be good and easy to use given the price point (unless budget is an issue then they’ll go for drugstore brands) and these people are not looking to use makeup as a creative outlet. so it makes a lot of sense to me.
as a gay guy who happens to watch a bunch of makeup content even though I don’t wear it myself just cuz I find it entertaining this was very unexpected from you lol. seeing you step outside your comfort zone and try content like this even though you probably feel awkward doing it is really endearing 😁

I loved when you talked about getting more into makeup bc I watch either gaming or makeup videos, and now your channel is crossing that line :D I stopped wearing foundation as well and stick to sunscreen and moisturizers, my acne thanked me. I do like doing my brows and having some mascara and blush. Despite my pfp I am actually a 30 year old woman 😂 edit: after that first glow primer stuff your skin did look immediately more bright/flushed. Then the CC cream is a nice addition! I might try one.
What kind of sunscreen do you use that isn't a greasy, nasty, hot mess? My face feels so much more oily and sticky if I use sunscreen, I hate the stuff, and we need it because the sun is terrible to our skin.
@@lokicooper4690 Ive been using one specifically made for faces, there's tons of brands out there that vary depending on if you have oily or dry skin (im kinda a combo/dry). The brand I use specifically is Coppertone pure and simple botanicals. If you find it burns your eyes then I think one without zinc oxide can help. I also start with a base of squaline oil which I think helps make the sunscreen less tacky. It actually makes my skin pretty glowy and dries matte enough that I can still paint on my eyebrows.
