I have been to Bangla stadium at least 20 times and I can tell you that the Thai fighters when fighting a Farang (foreigner) sure seem to find a way to get knocked out rather easily (wink wink) Rafael is very good, I saw him win an 8 man tournament there 2 years ago. But always keep one thing in mind about muay thai in Thailand, its all about the gambling. I have personally seen some of the most ridiculous dives you will ever see, all by thai fighters, at Bangla stadium and Patong stadium in Phuket. Its kind of sad actually, but I guess the promoter thinks its better that a foreign fighter wins when virtually the entire crowd is non Thai. Just saying
It happens because Thailand fighters have an unwritten rule to take it easy in the early rounds and then go all out after all the bets are placed. Foreigners normally come out going 100% from the beginning thats why thai fighters loose alot to foreigners. Watch the Dave Leduc episode of the Joe Rogan podcast, they talk about this
