The fact that there will never be another songwriter like Namjoon (plus Yoongi and Hobi) will be the reason that there will never be another BTS. (Also paraphrasing Chris Martin, who said that BTS accomplished in 10 years what would’ve taken other groups a hundred to do the same 😊.)
Lately I’ve been hearing from fans of another group (who hails from my country the Philippines, a place that prides itself as the birthplace of world-class singing talent, which I don’t dispute, lol) who write delusional posts on social media about how their group (whose name is two letters plus an odd prime number lol) is “on track to beat BTS” as the next “it” boy group. I don’t wanna be the person who rains on their parade, and of course no one’s holding back anyone with aspirations to become the “best whatever” (especially this group who boasts that each of their members have superior vocal power, as in each of them can “belt” a song a la Celine Dion, plus they can all comfortably speak English so that alome should entitle them to get invited to American shows, meh), but I just had to shake my head and call those posts delusional because this group doesn’t even have a fifth of BTS’ discography (and that’s not even counting solo releases).
(Sorry for the rant btw lol). Anywho my point is that try as other groups might to be “the next BTS”, that will never happen. Ever. 😊

well said 👏🏼 idk how many times i've seen headlines of people calling a certain group regardless of gender "the next BTS" while bashing BTS in the same article. it's ironic how they claim this group or that group is "better" than BTS yet also use BTS's name for views and validation. the hypocrisy and stupidity is baffling.
it's good to dream big but these groups need to focus on climbing the ladder not taking the elevator. thanks to BTS paving the way, a lot of asian celebrities (even in the acting industry that i'm a part of) have it sooo much easier compared to before. they're all focusing on the wrong thing, that's why they keep failing. shame on them but i also encourage them to keep embarrassing themselves 😂
