what’s the point of the inbar 1/1 if she never connects to downie? she was in a good handstand position… just do a toe on or connect the inbar to van leeuwen

The goal is to connect it, but she’s just playing it safe for now
No the commenter is right, they should put it before the Van Leeuwen which is much easier to connect into than the Downie + Pak
@@Plasposabsolutely not. She’s way more tired at almost the end of the routine to do a 1/1 inbar properly
@@legolass163 then what about before the Maloney then? At least for 0.1 CV instead of a 0.2 CV with the Downie that probably won't ever happen? It could be the difference for a medal

She does inbars very well.
It’s 2024 and she’s still visibly nervous. Anyone supporting her since 2018 should get their own gold medal because it’s been one hell of a mental gymnastics watching her work on her confidence issues.
Literally I feel this in my soul. She is such a phenomenal gymnast and yet just hasn't been able to put it all together at the right time when she needs it

Je ne critique pas la magnifique performance de Mélanie,. Mais je trouve que beaucoup de disciplines en gymnastique (dt gym artistique) , patinage (hors danse), certaines en ski, virent à la performance de "cirque". Les athlètes ont d'ailleurs une morphologie qui confine à des clones. Désolé de cette évolution.

@@saragrant9749Hm. I wouldn't call 8.333 execution a messy routine by any mean. She missed a connection and was aiming at 6.4 but her execution is still very good. I wouldn't call that routine messy at all

@WorldGymnasticsMemories She showed disappointment well before the score was given. It seems obvious how dissatisfied with her own performance she was. At that moment, it wasnt about the score. Of course it wasn't "bad" by any means and there were some absolutely gorgeous moments in that routine, but in comparison to what she expected from herself and what she is capable of, I would also agree that it was a "messy" routine in context to the missed handstands and missed connection.
@@WorldGymnasticsMemories for her own standards, it honestly was a bit messy. Still not a bad execution but she holds herself to a high standard and expected more than what she did. There’s definitely even more in the arsenal for this routine- which bodes well.
I don't like the nowadays girls uneven bars. Pretty much the same all the time. Lack of creativity. I miss the eighties in women's gymnastics.

Why not? It’s just a tier 3 meet and she got a pretty good score that would have been 5th in the world last year. Not every meet has the best competitors attending
Why do you have so be negative? She competed a 6.2 difficulty routine and got 8.333 execution (a really good score). She deserves the gold.
It is not a question of being negative. I think her performance wasnt the greatest if i can give my opinion. The good thing is that I am not the judge. So dont bother with me. Have a great day! 😘

She is very focused and determined. At least she isn’t like you, a self absorbed mendicant who has to judge those far more accomplished in life just to attempt to feel even remotely relevant.
