Loved the vlog this week, I am just so surprised that you don't get more views. You are both most entertaining, no airs and graces, no put ons, just yourselves, which is just great. I think when you start cruising your views will go up no end. Ernies looking as cute as ever. Looking forward to next week.x
Hi Jayne, thank you for the lovely comment we were actually talking about that tonight, we were wondering if we may loose a few of our watchers once our main renovations are done. We hope you all will stay and watch our life develop on the cut x
Hey Liz and Paul ..loved this weeks vlog..really interesting …however loved Paul’s pros and cons at the end . You are such a tonic every week. Love the fact that you are both able to laugh at each other and at yourself and that’s is what makes us laugh with you . Well done… Liz , Paul and gorgeous Ernie. You are in a different league . Thank you🏴🏴
Thank you Welshcake we glad you enjoyed it. Its quite strange putting a video together and trying to make it your own when your not really the focus of the actual video but we are glad we still managed to show our personailities through the pros and cons and voice over parts of it.😀
Hi Liz, Paul & Ernie. Thought I’d finally say Hi from Australia. I found you almost when you just begun, and have been with you ever since. I love what you’re doing with the boat. Really enjoying your vlogs, you’re both so funny and a joy to watch together. Keep up the great work! 🇦🇺💜
Hi there Lisa. Thanks for joining us on our journey all the way from Australia and for leaving us a comment this week. We love connecting with our watchers so please don't be shy and drop us a comment when you can. So glad you are enjoying our vlogs, we are slowly getting the hang of them when I watch the first few one back I cringe everything 🤣
At 21:01 for 5 seconds, I thought my PC was going to blow up haha! I definitely had a sh*t my pants moment, my amplifier was turned up quite High. If anyone is wearing headphones and haven't watched yet, beware! Sweet canopy, I like 👍
Yeah sorry about that. That was the 8th attempt at downloading the video and finally it didn't do it only to find out when it went live that the sound went nuts again. 😳
What are you like, you two! Had so much fun watching this one! Hilarious tbh so thank you for showcasing Callum, i mean the pram hood peoples, it was really interesting to see the process! ❤❤
Thanks Lorna. Maybe a slight clue to exterior colours although we did think it was going to be more black rather than grey but we are still deciding the final colours. We are thinking of using 3 colours overall and working out how to work them together and what parts/sections to paint what colour. X
I can see Ernie did another great boat job with the canopy/solarium cover. That boy is quite the handy pup on board. Love your videos and that bathroom will be so pretty when Ernie is done with it 🐾😂💕. Seriously, Paul you're excellent at woodworking and the boat is beautiful, and with Liz's painting/decorating it brings everything together for a comfortable new home. Take good care of yourselves ~ Hugs Lacy, Mike & Hamish🐾🤗
Great vlog. I look forward to it every week. They are getting funnier every week. Lovely prom hood. Like the coloured piping. That’s same effect we have chosen. Currently have two styles on garden fence for bird poop testing and cleaning. Neighbours must think we are mad 😂
Another fantastic vlog guys with top class humour 😂 A great solution to give you and Ernie another usable space when you're cruising. Big hug to Ernie x
we have a canopy from canvas man,not cheap but it's made a world of difference to us,to be open when moving in the rain, isn't fun but now we can move and stay dry , plus it's a extra room,so along with the front cratch we vave 54 ft of space we use .my guess is you guys have found the same thing, it's a great extra room.
Hi there, yes exactly that it's so good to have that extra room really and to protect the engine bay. I think it will be worth its weight in gold come the wet, winter months. We can take off our wet, muddy boots without trapping dirt throughout the main living space 😀
With out doubt the UK if not world canopy makers. I’ve dealt with Kath & Frazier for the last couple of years. Quality and perfection, pity you didn’t travel to the works at Braunston. Love the laser however when you speak with the 2nd generation you would find that Kaths mum who started the show used to work at Jaguar making canopies it doesn’t get better than that. 👍. NB Fiddlesticks 🖐
Having worked in the inshore marine industry for a good while, there are two 'Gods' in the industry, Canopy Makers and Sign Writers. Certainly looks as if you've found a good one. Certainly looks good.
We love our canopy, funny enough we've just given it a clean and plan to rewaterproof it in the next few days. We wouldn't be without it, it's like having an extra room on the boat and we can hang all our wet muddy clothes 😉😊
That is a very nice pram hood and looking forward to seeing Paul finish the bathroom soon. Hopefully then you can enjoy some cruising after all the hard work
We will be continually cruising and living aboard in around 4 weeks time so hopefully bathroom will be done and just little side of tow path jobs after that, as we move 😀
Hi there Liz and Paul You missed my point on battens i meant to put battens on inside to match you bedroom headboard and ceiling even on the inside top of the front cover. Ed 40 S of Vegas
*Liz, Paul & of course ERNIE, wow that looks so impressive... gives you that much more more extra living space. So going by the colour that you have picked that you have already decided on what colour the boat will be when you finally get to paint it in the near future.* PS: I have not changed my YT name... All of a sudden over night YT has added on numbers after my name... Like HOW RUDE!!! I wasn't even notified it was happening... not happy about it either!!
Hi there 9894 ha ha ha only joking it comes up with your full name anyway Andrea, only shows the numbers when I click to read your comment. The outside of boat is going to be pink...only joking..don't start rolling your eyes 🤣 we have decided idea of colours but not on the actual design yet as in to paint certain sections, frame around windows etc. I'm hoping that inspiration will come to me once we actually have the tins of paint in hand. X
@@uponreflection *Ok I am thinking it will be Grey with gold trim and the usual black bottom... would look gorgeous...So before today it was only showing, as my name all this time of commenting, when I commented even on other YT channels.... I even searched my log in name and it is still only my name.... so the numbers after my name have only now shown up over night... So YT is playing silly buggars, and hopefully they will put it all back to how it was.*
Great vlog as usual! Good laugh, Also If you look at the center bar it should have velcro on it so when your cruising and come to a low bridge you can undo the velcro and lower the bar thus lowering the height of the canopy, once the obsticle has been passed just pop the bar back in place. Simples!! haha! Really nice canopy that :) Personally I'd lower the canopy when cruising I've seen loads of boat have thier canopy damaged by leaving em up when cruising guys.

Funny Vlog i larf a long with you guys. Not seen a canopy being measured before very interesting, how come you did not have wood battens to match the inside decorations ?? Plus you can hide if you do not want to wave at some one you do not like, thats a Bonus mate. Liz and Paul enjoy you vlogs keep em coming and take good care of Ernie. Ed 40 S of Vegas..
Hi Ed. The stern covers are mostly created using the metal rods. The bow covers at the front of the boat are the ones usually that use wooden battons I believe. However when we have our front one fitted we are going to go for rods again so it matches through and can be taken down. When you have battons they stay in place permanently ☺️

Still catching up with all the vlogs. The canopy looks lovely.

Get the knuckle joints changed to marine grade steel not plastic with a bit of steel. Bakes in the sun and ages rapidly and becomes brittle.👍🏼
Thanks for the tip on that Nick. We shall ask the company if they can do this. Thank you 😊
Hi guys, we want the same pram hood as you have had, would you mind letting me know roughly the cost?
Hi there Cheryl the pram cover was about 3.5k and the cratch about 1.8k but that does depend on your size etc as we have quite large decks. 😊
Looks a million dollars. Do you mind me asking what you paid for it all?
Hi there if I remember rightly it was about £3500. or there abouts
👍
I DON'T UNDERSTAND...... SO WHAT IS THE COST???????????
It does vary depending on style of boat and how much material and work is required but ours was around £3500 if I remember rightly
