Totally Not Mark Totally of topic, did you draw that Vegeta and Goku? If so, I don’t know if it’s just me but the mouths are giant. I’m not hating, I’m just saying. The size of the mouth makes the face look really wide, Especially on Goku. I just wanted to let you know. They’re not bad. I guess is the "It’s off model" feel haha.
I agree with you about the Goku and Frieza fight in the manga, though considering it is a _monthly release_ I can't blame Toyotaro for not being able to put everything in.
It was a good list, I can't really complain. Though I will say that save for the BOG adaptation (cause Toyotaro clearly didn't give a shit), it's almost like he didn't bother with trying to match the more spectacle heavy scenes of the anime because he knew he couldn't. If you can't be as cool you might as well throw in more narrative crunch for the salty, petty, manga dickriders like myself.
My guess is that Toyotaro felt the same boredom and frustration that the audience did with the movie rehashes, so he just wanted to get it over with and get to the new content.
William Holtzclaw Healing powers are explained to be a part of being a Supreme Kai Apprentice. Do tell me what's the reason for Trunks transforming into a form that made him stronger than Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta? The Hakai I agree is surprising and a bit of an asspull, they at least said that Goku and Vegeta had seen it before offscreen with their comments on the technique. Perfect Blue I find to be a "form" equivalent to the Super Saiyan Blue KaioKen, and Toyotaro most likely did so that Vegeta could also have a power up without being left behind like in the anime when Goku first revealed Blue KaioKen.
Nagato Yamiyo Trunks is not a shinjin. How the hell is he going to be appointed to be one when he doesn't even have or knowledge of God ki. Perfect Blue doesn't really make much sense. What's worse is the gaping time ring plothole in the climax of the manga arc.
I also prefer Zamasu's personality in the anime. Both Black and Future Zamasu are far less composed and more prone to anger when things don't go their way in the manga, whereas in the anime Black was still angry when Vegeta overwhelmed him but he was still analysing the situation and found a way to grow from it.
Zamasu may be disliked in both versions, but I personally love his slow-development to evil in the anime, and Goku Black personality. The only thing I liked about Manga Zamasu and Black was a scene where we are shown Gowasu recruiting Zamasu, where it kind of broke my heart for how tragic the moment is. However, since that scene is only an extra, I don't count it.
He may has taken cues from his own manga, but that still doesn't excuse his sorry ass writing for Zamasu. Out of everything, Toyo did one thing better than the anime ever did, but only one thing: Zamasu last panel before everything started. To see the young god with such optimism is quite tragic considering how much of a monster he becomes. Is tragedy in the pity kind of sense.
@@lilylopnco I mean the fight with Goku puts some respect on Hit as a fighter, because tl;dr Goku had to put in work to beat Hit. The Jiren fight was trash because Jiren just flexed his muscles and Hit died. Utterly disgraceful for the most unique fighter Super came up with for what amounts to be a somewhat lamer Broly character beating his ass.
I was ok with it. In my opinion, Hit was never a God so it makes sense he would not be able to keep up with a Super Saiyan God. They should have had goku overpowering Hit with Super Saiyan God until he upgrades his time skip and also reveal himself as a martial artist who knows over a hundred martial arts since he's a 1000 years old.
I think both Manga and anime have up and down as and u 6 arc , Black arc in Manga is better than anime but anime as better top arc but jiren characters is better in Manga
Goku Black's character is absolutely superior in the anime version. In the manga he feels more whiny - like a smug bag of hot air with far more bark than bite. In the anime he's CLASSY (in a villainous way). Zamasu's motivation for stealing Goku's body also feels more solid in the anime, because in the manga they never have any true interaction before Zamasu starts the Zero Mortals plan.
Huojunta his rivalry with/hatred for Goku is much better set up in the anime too. Though, the overall timeline/flow of the arc I think makes more sense in the manga.
He stole Goku's body, after fighting, which wouldn't have happened if Goku Black never went to the FT timeline Yea genius writing 10/10 makes spook much sense
Montravius Jones that's kinda what I meant. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. The anime sets up a more personal rivalry between the two, which has some payoff (like when he tells Goku what he did, and how he killed his family, and you can feel Goku get Vegeta-level angry). There's a layer of detachment in the manga with that stuff...But...the timeline makes sense. The anime timeline is full of paradoxes. I think people forget how many hoops the community was jumping through back when it was airing to try and theorize what was actually going on lol. We know why current Zamas would have become Goku Black (had Beerus not ended him), but that doesn't at all explain how the Zamas from the pre-altered timeline (the one Black and Trunks create by involving Goku and Vegeta) got his hate boner for Goku. Probably the same way as the manga version. They don't tell us, but he must have watched God Tube like his manga counterpart, because in that timeline there's no way he MET Goku first.
Montravius Jones the original timeline before the whole Zamasu thing happened must’ve been like the manga where Zamasu learns about Goku through Godtube and once that starts it just threw everything into a cycle where Goku Black finds a future without Beerus, which happened to be Trunks time and Trunks goes back to the present for backup
To say my personal opinion, Goku Black in the Anime was far better than his Manga counterpart. Where the Manga version had a really dull "I like killing things and throwing tantrums" personality, the Anime version has a type of character that (Unless I'm forgetting or misinterpreting something) we haven't seen yet with Dragon Ball: A villain who always remains calm, even when losing. I can't recall a single moment where Black lost his composure and resorted to just acting on his rage, and even when he is actually angry, it's the type of "I'm angry on the inside" approach. I find a villain who always keeps calm against you more interesting to learn more about rather than a guy whose always just angry.
The only time he was angry was when Vegeta was pummelling to the ground. How did Black respond? By getting angry and getting an scythe out of his ass, which he didn't even knew how he done it. Frankly, is not so much the literal ass pull, but the fact he kept being charismatic while explaining about it.
Kid Buu remained calm, even if he would have lost he just seemed like he wanted to fight. However, Buu was an empty.. Sorta shell that operates off of Instinct. Fat Buu is also okay with an opponent stronger than him. Knowing SSJ 3 Goku was overpowering, he was just excited as can be to fight him and wanted to fight longer. Or when he fought Majin Vegeta, when Vegeta was sacrificing himself he was curious about it and allowed Vegeta to do his thing out of curiosity. Even Super Buu was the same. He knew Gohan was stronger than him, and devised a plan to make sure he won't be outdone or weaker than anyone, and remained calm the entire time. Up until he reached his fight with Vegito. So it isn't exactly the first time, but it's the first time it was analyzed to this point. And first time it was noticed.
My problem with the manga: - lots of skipping - minor content - needs more chapters My problem with the anime: - horrible story writing in most parts - no love for many characters like Tien or Buu (they have enough filler episodes to include and develop them) - and most important: energy beams from hell! Defaq is with the KameHameHa? I can make the beams better with the program paint! Though the Final Flash in 122 and the episodes since then are really fantastic.
OnurCradible Don't forget how the anime there's no making sense thing. like Super Saiyan Rage Trunks. how vegito didn't do any damage. and other things
OnurCradible Except they gave Buu his own episodes. The fight with Basil and his skinny Buu episode.Tenshinhan has his own episode about a girl from his past and him starting up a dojo. Even Yamcha got his own episode with the baseball one. These characters aren't in every epispde but it's not like they've never used them.
OnurCradible I agree with you on everything but the beams part lmao. I don't know where your ass has been but , the overall animation for Super has been on point since the start of the TOP. You need to get your eyes checked if you think there's a problem with the fucking beams of anything😂😂😂
#12: You should mention how Gohan in the anime was motivated for real in his training. The anime had Gohan feeling guilty when he learned that in the future, his father had his body taken before he was killed, his mother and brother were killed immediately afterward, and now the guy that took his father's body is wreaking havoc in another timeline. Gohan is upset because he feels responsible and thus started training again, which you see when Gohan and Trunks part ways at the end of the arc, where Gohan looks exhausted and seems to have been training. The manga just had it that Gohan was only training cause Piccolo had him for the Tournament of Power. Also, the Goku Black arc had Goku Black and Future Zamasu being really shitty at working together, argues more, whines more, and so on. But Goku Black and Future Zamasu in the anime actually held a stronger terror, fear, and such. They forced Goku and Vegeta to retreat and were a real threat, and had a perfect combination. And the two got along with one another and looked after the other. Furthermore, Vegeta in the Tournament of Power grew stronger from his desire to fight for his loved ones, for his pride, and so on. Manga? "I'M BETTER THAN KAKAROT!!!!" Seriously? You just... make Vegeta's entire development as a character in the tense situation have Vegeta powering up because he's jealous? Also, the excuse that Goku can't access Ultra Instinct in the manga because he doesn't know how to makes shit sense when Goku literally started to use it in the manga because he was doing it willingly, meaning that he shouldn't not know how to use it. But the anime made more sense because Goku never once activated Ultra Instinct at will. It was always an accident, always in situations where the need was at it's highest, and how Goku needed to get the feel of Ultra Instinct several times before he could use all its power, but even then, it was all an accidental access. Meaning he needs to feel that tension, that feeling in his mind before he can access it.
I think the anime's fused zamasu was better, I like how instead of just being buu combined with meta cooler, the anime had a flaw with fusing an immortal being with a mortal being, rather than it just making the immortality op af.
I agree with a lot of what you said here! especially Trunks' involvement in the FT arc. Something I wanted to mention was that I love that fact that Gohan is wearing Picollo's outfit instead of Goku's.
Which doesn't make that much sense to me. In the Buu saga, Gohan wanted to honor Goku after obtaining the Ultimate state, and him still having the outfit feels more consistent to me, as part of the arc was getting back said state. Him wearing Piccolo's outfit, while a nice call back, makes him seem weak to me, as it reminds me of the beginning of the Buu arc, where he lacked off his training. I don't know, just a matter of taste to me.
@@henryt3301 Sorry, I know this comment is 4 years old, but Gohan wanted to wear Goku's clothes, because he was dead at the time, he thought he was gonna be the new protector of earth, while Goku stayed dead. There's no need for him to wear it now.
Thank you! I agree with EVERY single moment you listed. BUT. I would like to add another one : The characterization of Black and Zamasu. Let me get this out of the way first : I am not the biggest fan of the Manga version of the Future Trunks Arc. I have said that many times(Hell, I have even made an entire comment on this topic on the last video about Manga being better than the Anime), and I still stand by my opinion. There are problems that I just don't like that are stated in this list : Trunks' involvement, Vegito Blue vs Fused Zamasu, etc. But, Black and Zamasu suffered the most, in my opinion. Let's start with Black : He is good, but not good as his Anime counterpart. In the anime, Black was more threatening monster with an interesting goal. It was fun to see him body SSJ Trunks, develop as he is fighting with SSJ2 Goku, and take hits from SS Blue Vegeta like it was nothing, while also abusing the Zenkai boost. When Black transforms into Rosé, he gets this elegance and power that is really, REALLY cool. In the Manga, he is just a brute. Now, before you say that Black IS a brute, hear me out. Yes, Black is a brute, but he still keeps elegance from Zamasu, while the Manga Black is just a straight up brute that gets beat down by everyone when he turns SSJ before he gets Rosé AND doesn't have a good personality other than that he is an asshole. Remember this - We will get back to this point. Oh, and don't get me started on Zamasu! While he is not the most interesting character in this Arc(I like some aspects of him, but I really HATE him and I wanted Vegeta to grab him AND RIP HIS FREAKING HEAD OFF), he had a clear and understandable motivation - NINGEN are the reason formost of the destruction, and he just wants to make the WHOLE Universe better. Simple, right? Only in the Manga, Zamasu is JUST SO GODDAMN STUPID!! He just wants to kill NINGEN just beacuse he hates them, and we don't even get a good Manga explanation. AND let's return to the point I was telling you to remember : their personalities. Both Black and Zamasu are pale in comparison to their Anime counterparts in personality and threat. I'm sorry, but they are not threatening in the manga! Anime Black might do some stupid shit, but at least he was threateing and even though I knew Goku and co. were going to get out of this mess, I still questioned how were they going to do it. If Toyotaro did MORE chapters of this Arc AND we had more time to learn and get to know these characters like in the Anime, then I think they would have been better characters. As always, this is MY opinion. I don't hate the Manga. Seriously, I don't. I just didn't like this version of the Arc. Of course, if you have a different opinion, I respect it and would like to hear it. Also, forgot to mention : Ki Blades. Just KI. BLADES..... That's all.
Is anybody gonna mention the potafu arc with the dub of super?? Probably the best of the filler arcs in my opinion. Seeing my vegeta from growing up with new age vegeta was heartwarming and awesome to say the least. If only gotenks didnt get owned by copy vegeta.
InvadoZimm Yup. Drummond turned that arc from garbage to good enough. I'm still not saying it was good because every scene without Copy Vegeta was soooo boring. But that's just me.
To me the thing that the anime did WAY better than the manga is Vegeta's speech to Black about how he is just using Goku's body and don't know how to use it. That scene was so amazing in the anime, but in the manga it wasn't even a noticeable part, I would have totally forget about it if it wasn't for the anime.
1) All right, the manga doesn't abuse blue as much. 2) Off-screen transformation, and the SSJ has been a joke since the Cell Saga, where a legend was obtained by the mary sue from the future who was the son of an unlikely couple, or Vegeta obtaining it off-screen. And remember, the manga version of Trunks obtaining the transformation doesn't involve any tragedy, making such transformation even more of a joke. 3) Fair enough, that's a legitimate complain. However, considering how the anime has handled characters from before the Tournament of Power like Hit, I will disagree slightly. 4) Spectacle, but fair enough. 5) Outside of the Space Poachers and Yurin, I loved the recruitment episodes, so this is a matter of opinion. 6) Have you really READ Goku's personality in the manga? He is worse, like "I wasn't even when Gohan was born", not really caring about Goku Black stealing his body
Future Warrior AMV 2.0 And the manga has these same saiyans doing the exatcly same shit but off screen and the tingly back was already explained by many people and it makes sense weather you like it or not, the manga does not flash out even more important characters like gohan that in the manga as said in the video barely appeared, frieza barely appeared in the manga, krillin in the manga is only there because goku wanted 18 and with no development like the anime, tien and roshi were only shown when everyone was gathered, so yeah this argument does not apply for the anime and almost all the characters in the anime are better and have more depth while the manga barely gives any development so this argument is bs, the manga has just as many asspulls so this is irrelevant, even if the anime had slow pacing the manga is way too rushed cutting important things from the story, goku recruiting is proof of this, in the manga they cut most of the character development for everyone and gohandid not have any at all proving that this is important for the story and development so again this argument is not valid, even if goku was more naive in the anime, the manga also fucks up goku personality making him seem like all of the memes made of him are actually real like the one that he is a bad father, in the manga he calls gohan a little shit for not participating on the champa tournament while in the anime he is actually proud of gohan, in the manga he say krillin is only good at running, when he always was the one to believe in krillin toyotaro makes him say that and to add to that he only recruited krillin because he wanted 18 while in the anime he is like his normal self in which he believes in krillin, so I prefer the more immature one that still acts like himself to the one that is more mature but acts uncharacteristic and as a total asshole
You are wrong about the cabba/vegeta student/master dynamic. On the following page cabba wakes up and shaking, tries to speak to vegeta. After this vegeta tells him "Never forget the pride of a saiyan." Then enthusiastically cabba exclaims "Yes!" The scene still works and, in my opinion, keeps more with Vegeta's character. This allows for him to, over time, bond with cabba more and more. I agree that the English dub's delivery of the scene is better, but in my opinion the manga does a better job then the Japanese dub. I don't disagree with you necessarily, I just wanted to put the information out there, in case you revise these videos once the manga has completed the tournament of power. Also, I'm a huge fan of your videos and really do hope you continue covering the manga (as I personally believe that it is better than the anime). Thank you for all that you do.
PopstarChamp I just wish the manga was adapted to become the anime. Most of the flaws cherry picked in this video could easily be corrected with the long stretching and padding time the anime has to flesh out the plot. Toyotaro’s strict monthly schedule limits the manga.
Alexander Aramaki Agreed. If the we combine the Manga's consistent logic and combine it with the Anime's ability to just have more time to do things, this show would probably be X20 better.
Yep I really want a faithful animated version of the manga, like without censorship and with a decent art style. Then people could just choose what version of DBS they want to watch.
My Anime>Manga pick would have to be the introduction of the other fighters before the start of the ToP. In the manga, we only get glimpses of U6 and U11. And don't get me wrong, they were great interactions (Jiren needed one DESPERATELY), but it's a shame we never got to see the fighters of the other universes. Take the Exhibition match, for example. As cool as it was seeing the Gods of Destruction have a battle royal in the manga, I really came to like the Trio de Dangers. Each one had a unique design, interesting fighting abilities, and the idea that a family HAD to stick together to not only survive in a harsh universe, but become the strongest warriors in it? That sounded awesome! But at the same time, it made their erasure only THAT much more devastating. But in the manga, they're just kind of there, then they fight, then they're gone. Introducing each universe the way the anime did made the characters feel more engaging, which made for a more entertaining arc. At the very least, I just hope that chapter 35 introduces everyone in a better manner.
Personally I think the thing the anime did better than manga was Goku Black’s characterization and method of powering up. His personality was different from most Dragon Ball antagonists, almost resembling Goku in some ways, while the manga was vulgar and acted like any other DBZ villain. I also liked how Black gained access to a Super Sayian form through Goku’s muscle memory opposed to to exploiting zenkai. It showed how skilled Zamasu was to do that.
To be fair, I kinda hated the resolve of the Krillin mini-arc, that ruined it for me since it was like an unnecessary power boost and something Goku would do. But I agree with a lot of these, I think Beerus killing Zamasu was better in the anime too, the manga is more ‘okay? So I, The GoD now have permission to destroy this guy?’ While anime just has Beerus go ‘man you guys posture too much, I’ll handle this’
The Tournament of Power was just done better overall in the anime. It gave fights time to develop and get interesting, did match-ups that were interesting, gave characters amazing moments, made every time (Excluding Universe 4) a Universe was erased serious, and made Ultra Instinct make sense and allowed it to look strong. The manga on the other hand had it over done with in the blink of an eye, even going so far as to get rid of all but 3 Universes in 1 chapter. Not to mention all the great character moments for 17, 18, Master Roshi, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, and Vegeta weren't there in the manga. The biggest sin is the manga's decision to remove the ending of the Jiren fight, where Goku and Frieza actually work together with 17 acting as back-up, and to instead replace it with Frieza tackling Jiren and Goku off the arena only to reveal that 17 was hiding under a rock the whole time.
Bog - anime only Rof - anime movie recut U6 - manga (cabba vs vegeta, and goku vs hit from anime) FT - manga ( some anime scenes as this was one of the only arcs that felt like the manga and anime complimented each other) TOP - for now anime but i do like gohan in piccolos gi instead. Or at least my ideal super edit. Im curious though as to what others would do
The anime and manga were always meant to be experienced together. One is not a substitute for another! The manga takes the luxury of not going into detail where the anime has and uses the information provided by the anime in clever ways to better manage the limited space it has to explore and go into things. Most of the time you don't even notice when it does so and just say "Manga didn't tell/show me that - it's better". They're both pretty decent and both deserve your attention. IMO Super is best experienced by watching the anime while keeping up with the manga
i think you got a little bit wrong the trunks part because in terms of history telling trunks travels to the past because he can't stand up against black so he needs goku and vegeta's help and his role in the manga make more sense because if trunks can't stand up against black before why he is gonna stand up against black now (on his moment)because its not like he got some special training or something in the past in both versions of super, but its just my opinion by the way good video :)
Hit is a weird character. In the anime, he is more powerful, and also had his own mini-arc with a really good mood, while in the manga, he is that guy Goku defeated once. Goku Black lacks the smugness of the anime one, the elegant personality, the spectacle of his powers, he is just an asshole that stole Goku's body and uses Shin techniques. He is Ginyu.
4 you just keep exposing yourself as a hypocrite and as an actual manga fanboy, so really the only fanboy here is you, and you trying to talk shit when you show yourself to be the fanboy here is quite funny
4 This is quite pathetic, you wanting to say that I went ghost makes you seem really stupid when I commented not only in this video even before you appeared to talk shit but also I commented in every new video of geekdom, universe of Q, mark, ajay and rhymestyle, so again you are just being ignorant and trying to talk shit when you do not make even research Now you want to tell fucking lies, it was never said that the manga will pass the anime, so now you are just making shit up, so stop you are making yourself look bad and exposing yourself as a manga fanboy
One time I found the first manga chapter of Super and while reading it I thought it was doing better than the anime, suddenly I flip the page after the end of the first Goku vs Berrus only to have a text box saying“To know what has happened,go watch the movie Dragon Ball Z, battle of God's",now that's next level trolling.
The things that piss me off in the manga the most are how Toyotaro did Hit and Black. They are so damn boring in the manga, Hit is only an assasin with a time-skip he lacks any kind of personality and characteristics that make him so interesting and likable in the manga, he's just so bland. And Black was turned into just another DBZ movie villain. In the anime he's elegant and composed, he truly looks like a god trying to correct this wretched world and in the manga he's just "look how evil I am, I make evil faces, fear me~~". Also Fusion Zamasu fight was just a pain, it dragged out way go long in the manga and Toyotaro made his attacks much more bland and boring. What strategy will he use against SSJ Blue Vegito? Throw f***ing metal blocks at him, wow so meneacing~~~And then he rips off Janemba's teleporting and pulls a Meta Cooler army for some damn reason (yeah becoming the one with the universe was stupid in the anime but Zamasu army felt just way more dumber to me). In the anime they gave him cool god-like attacks, he had a halo, they showed his unstable fusion and immortality, that was interesting! And Toyotaro thought that it was alright just having him rip off his shirt to show those abs -.-' Well at least Toyotaro is learning a little from his mistakes by giving Jiren some actual character, so I hope he doesn't screw it up
The one thing that always bothered me when discussing about the Anime and Manga differences is how so many people say that Anime is just eye candy while Manga has better story, characters and logic. Firstly when it comes to story i will say that Anime is better because it has more and better emotional scenes than the Manga which to me in that department either feels flat or has none. Secondly while i'm not gonna say that the characters were written good, Zamasu and Jiren coming to mind, i will say that the characters are at least better than the Manga expect for Jiren in which characters like Hit and Goku Black are weak and have none of the skills and charm that we like about them while regular Goku is not only a bigger idiot if that was possible but a crude jerk at times like dismissing Gohan with no care for not wanting to join the Tournament of Destructions and not giving a shit when he and Goten were born. Thirdly while Manga does a better job at explaining some things that the Anime refuses for some reason it to has logic problems like Trunks, who's as strong as Goku and Vegeta in their base forms and using SSJ 2 enhanced can fight SSJ3 Goku on par can't beat Goku Black's base form no matter what yet Vegeta in SSJ2 enhanced mode can beat Goku Black in his Super Saiyan mode with no problem. While the Manga does several things better than the Anime it bothers to no end how fans of it overhyped it as some masterpiece when in truth it's just as flawed and problematic as the Anime.
@@jahnaviketha6300 Two notable examples would be where he dissed Gohan for not wanting to fight in the Tournament between Universe 6 and 7 and the other where he asks why Vegeta should care about his own child being born when he didn't and while Goku never acts like an insensitive jerk all the time these examples feel particularly egregious with the second one also managing to make Goku look like a giant idiot no different from his abridged counterpart.
Honestly it's hard to bring it up since there's no scene that is a direct comparison, but Vegeta suddenly pulling Gamma Burst Flash out his ass, which was strong enough to kill multiple Fusion Zamasu? That was such a fucking pointless and asspull, why in the hell wouldn't he have used that earlier? At least at that point in the anime they were remaining fairly consistant until Trunks started accidentally making himself into a spirit bomb, but even then, it's his story, and it actually accomplished something....at least until the writers decided to make Zamasu into a bootleg Cloud of Darkness in order to make the entire arc pointless.
Only Sasuke beat an Akatsuki nin without any intel he got owned by merged zamasu and had to fuse , if he had that fucking power all the time she should have used it since the beginning
Hedoro well, it’s not that much of a hard question honestly, it clearly eas a last ditch effort, my guess is that it fucks his stamina up, also, if Vegita did a full power Final Flash against a unguarded fused zamasu(MANGA) it would probably kill him also
dwaatwood ya realize vegeta was weakened after all the fighting they just did right? Then pulls out the gamma burst flash and kills two whole merged zamasus. Dat dont make sense.
Even the anime had scenes that are still incredible. Honestly, I love both. Who says you have to choose one? I say they are both spectacular. I love that the anime covers more than the manga, but the manga is just as good. I say both have got my attention.
The biggest problem with the manga is that it's too fast-paced. So some moments are better in the anime because they have more screen time. The biggest proof of this is Piccolo's training with Gohan in the Saiyan Saga. Much of it is filler from the anime, but it helps us care about the characters. Just like Vegeta's training in the Android Saga to become a Super Saiyan, it's filler. This is noticeable in some moments of Dragon Ball, but in Super it's more evident. Despite everything, I still think that the DB and DBZ anime are as good as the manga. In DBS, I much prefer the manga in most parts. But this slower pace of the DBS anime also hurts it, like in the boring fights in the Tournament of Power, which are shorter in the manga.
Gohan training throughout Super in the anime was beast. He did get a certain amount of development in the anime. I also agree with the student master relationship between Vegeta and Cabba. I prefer the manga for Trunks vs Goku because it shows that he trained everyday. The 17 vs Goku fight was cool and all, but I hate how Goku jumped SSB for god knows how much to fight. The anime's telling of the BOG arc plain sucked man. I hated most of it. I wanted the manga to quickly jump to what I don't know. I would much rather have what Trunks did in the manga better. I mean hell, you can't go from badass to. Gary Stu. Trunks was the type of guy that I would go to the gym and look up to. Same with Goku. The anime version as really fucked them over. I prefer Vegeta, Gohan and Piccolo now. Having a few comedic episodes is cool, like the baseball episodes and the Krillin and Goku episodes. But overall, I didn't really like the copy Vegeta stuff and the Arale stuff. Goku at SSBK looked beast, but the anime screwed up the consistency and made it shit. It did feel amazing, but I guess the older you get the more you want some logic to it. Gotta admit, I did dig the fighting scene of Goku vs Frieza in the anime. It was leagues above Goku vs Frieza in ROF. You actually feel some intensity.
I think one of the things that made Super special was the wholesome and peaceful moments, and episodes that gave more depth to characters that weren't that developed in Z, even if some of them were filler (I agree that they're good filler though, unlike Z's), and removing a lot of that makes the manga a lot less special. As far as art goes, I'd say it's pretty subjective (even more subjectiver?). The anime's animated and chibi aesthetics are pretty generic and less fitting compared to the manga aesthetic, which by comparison is a lot more similar to the classic DB/DBZ/GT art style we've known to love. And, of course, the variation in animation quality in the earlier episodes. But yes, colors and atmosphere are done extremely well in Super, and that makes a lot of scenes really stand out.
I wish the anime had waited for the manga to have a good few dozen chapters to its name before starting and only produced episodes for a few months at a time, rather than year round. Then the anime could have followed the manga's writing while utilising its extended duration to expand on scenes like the resurrection of Frieza for the tournament or those few good filler episodes (which jelly Vegeta definitely does not count as).
Denis N sir shingeki no kyokin is by far the best anime ever made one punch man is second and seven deadly sins is fucking anime I recommend you watch it trust me if you like Shōnen you’ll like nanatsu no taizai
You know the funny thing is Mark? At work today i was just thinking that there should be a video talking about all the times the anime was better than it's manga. And Lo and Behold...you have it posted today!
In regards to the Goku Black arc, Goku using Hakai in the manga, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I was really hoping that you'd have mentioned that fact, seeing as Goku hasn't seen the hakai in the manga.
Thank you for your videos TNM. I found your channel by chance and I really enjoy all of your content, it makes me feel a part of the community. Looking forward to more awesome content 😁
I don’t see how we compare an anime and a manga and use “visuals” as an argument for the anime. That’s like duh, the case with any anime / manga debate we could have. That’s default. It’s animation and audio versus illustration. Truth be told, the manga most the time has the better character drawings and offers better fight choreography at times.
Kajin TheFireGod Well obviously it has better character drawings. A manga is shown through still images. The mangaka only has to worry about that (as well as shot composition) but the animators have to worry about how the images work in movement. But yeah Toyotaro's art is gorgeous.
But even when we just take pictures of the anime, draw out the color and then compare them to the manga, you can still see how much effort was sometimes put into them. Not to mentuon that there are cases where the manga can look objectively better than the anime, even including coloring and even animation.
Toon Trooper nah bro. That’s not always necessarily true. When Yuya Takahashi takes over for say.. episode 114, the character art has rarely ever looked so beautiful in the entire series, let alone Super.
The difference in storyboards and the fight choreography. The fight between 17 and Goku in the anime was more memorable to me due to the lighting and composition, while the manga didn't feel that different from the other fights. Is the same for Fused Zamasu fight: he is vastly more unique in the anime, making him more memorable than he brute from the manga.
i was waiting for the manga to try and damage controle caulifla turning SS throu back tingles..........somehow they made it worse and and did it off-screen in like 2 hours and as usuall they gave the blandest and laziest excuse that DB franchise always use when they're backed to the corner *"you're a prodigy"* ................yeah... no i'll take the back tingles please
C Vox I don't think back tingles would've been hated as much if they didn't use the word "tingles." It makes it sound too weak and it doesn't help that Caulifla and Kale look like sticks.
C Vox dude stfu it's obvious that the creators of the story intended on universe 6 saiyanz trans forming easily all u fuckers do is complian what's fucking good enough dude
Isaiah Bell if you're a blind fanboy with shitty low standard don't be surprised that others are not the same this was horrible even in DB standard....and i'm not gonna pretend it's not...it's not impossible to find a way to make it a bit more believable hell use the geekdom theory headcannon he made and i'll be ok instade he decided to skip all over it like it neve matter knowing that braindead fans like you will accept it mindlessy....it's people like you that accept any bullshit the show throw that result in the lazy writing we see and the franchise as a whole known for being mindless action for junkies that pay no attentions to the plot and story
They already did, it’s S-Cells. So basically midi-chlorians. Tbh I hate the back tinglies too, I do like Caulifla (who is more like Vegeta) looking to Goku for tutelage like Cabba (who is more like Goku than Vegeta) does with Vegeta, but the speedy progression of power and more or less disregard of the Super Saiyan legend and legacy isn’t nice to see
If I'm being honest, Gohan doing fuck all in the manga was almost made up for by him putting the demon clan uniform back on. I got more hype from that than anything that happened in the TOP itself.
I would agree if I hadn't already watched them fight a few months ago. At this point I'm really just reading the manga because of the stronger writing (this is relative, it's still Dragonball). I'm hoping he gets to use his nerd brain for actual planning and strategy this go around.
bro are you gonna resurrect the Google translates Dragon ball z series it was super funny and amazing to watch in terms of hilarious voice acting and horrible translations
Akira Toriyama was the one that insisted that the Anime should recap the movies as the inclusion of Beerus and Whis were vital to the story and he wanted everyone to know about them.
ruben suarez no they’re not. The manga is dependent on the anime. You can watch the anime and have a complete experience, if you just read the manga you’ll have a lot of questions you’ll need to then watch the anime to figure out.
Character moments are a dime dozen, the hardest part about writing a story is keeping the quality consistent which the manga does and the anime doesn’t.
kinda hypocritical isnt it 4, you of all people trying to call me a fanboy, hell with this comment you just prove that the fanboy here is you and a lot of people in the comments already called you out, so you were already exposed as the fanboy here, so again you are being a hypocrite and a manga fanboy
I wish SSJ Rage was actually something along the lines of False/Half SSJ Blue, considering he is half-saiyan. At least we would have an actual explanation to what the transformation actually is.
Its fine if you like it. Considering that Goku has been training in the other world then real world then with Whis and gains a huge power boost due to the ritual would make you think that Trunks who mostly trained alone or for some time with a Z sword shouldn't be as strong as Goku's ssj3
@@bipstymcbipste5641 Don't forget that trunks is a half saiyan. So with him having more potential and training everyday to death, it is normal for him to be stronger than goku with ssj3 form.
Personally I like the anime’s UI Goku vs Jiren fight and how it concludes. In the manga it’s too short, having Goku go from UI Sign/Omen to UI/MUI in a short amount of time. Also I’m a little mixed on UI Goku vs Jiren (manga). In one hand I like how they showed that Goku wasn’t used to using UI/MUI and showed him starting to lose the form gradually. However I didn’t like how it mostly consisted of Goku dodging most of the time and landing a few punches occasionally. I like how in the anime it really showed how powerful UI is.
for the manga, just watch the movies before reading the manga. for the anime, just watch the movies and then skip the first 2 arcs. boom, problem solved.
What about when goku used the hakai against zamasu in the manga? It undermined the whole meaning of what a god of destruction is, making them useless. If any powerful mortal could use the hakai, then whats the point of beerus?
Episode 94 was incredible, almost all the scenes, there was not action but the moments are memorable. In my opinion other good moments are: The end of Fututure Trunks arc, the moment when Gohan appears and Trunks cries broke my heart. Black in my opinion is a better character in the anime version. Anime showed us Bulma´s Death. I must say it, i really enjoyed a big part of the recruitment arc and i hated when toyotaro skipped all this part. I guess he wathches the anime and he tries to change the events, or do the better, but I don´t know how he is going to do it with the Master Roshi moments. Sorry for my english.
I know I’m 2 years late, but can we just talk about how screwed the power scaling in the manga’s TOP is? Okay, so Kale eliminates Anilaza in one hit, which took the whole of U7 to take out in the anime. She also takes out the two Namekians of her universe, and Magetta, all who cause trouble to U7, and to a large extent, Gohan. So Kale is stronger than several fighters who have put Gohan and the U7 team on the back foot. Then she fuses, which is supposed to combine Kale’s raw power with Caulifla’s stability. Then she ties with Gohan. *Then she ties with Gohan.*
"Since a few people might've asked." *Shows picture of crybabies* Yup, that's about accurate. 😂LMAO! Also love these are very tiny things the anime did better... Because other than the character development with Krillin and Gohan, everything else was piss poor. I can also say the Super Saiyan God transformation in Super was too much to take seriously. You're also throwing the anime fans a bone by giving credit to lengths of an episode vs a manga chapter. The anime has to be at least 21 minutes, so they need to stretch things out as long as possible whereas the manga only needs to reach around 20 pages. Nobody cared about the battle of gods and resurrection F retelling, so half-assing or skipping is completely reasonable for those two arcs. Might I also add that Krillin being a bitch was pathetic when he's dared to fight the likes of Cell and Majin Buu, who were leagues above him, while retaining a confident attitude at the end of it all. Him acting like a scared child during that episode with him and Goku had to be the most pathetic thing they could've done to him. That so called "Character Development" was a step back in every way, regardless if it was somewhat enjoyable. Sorry Anime fans. Argue if you want. Notifications are off, so you'll just be complaining to a brick wall.
4 Stop being so ignorant and full of yourself, at this point you are just a troll, your entitled fucking opinion is not a fact, people like what they want and the manga is not better and there is proof, reviews sites show that they are relative as an example my anime list you just act like a total fanboy
considering that you are the one who has been exposed by multiple people in the comments of this video and theshit that you talk you are the only one who is speaking nonsense and should shut the fuck up
Only Sasuke beat an Akatsuki nin without any intel yeah, a fusion being weaker than Goku when Goku was just getting stomped five minutes ago is good writing.
Aaron Cherry goku had mastered the SSB transformation against merged zamasu. We've known about the SSB drawbacks since its introduction (huge stamina usage, wasted power (whis mentions vegeta only being able to use 10% of his power against hit after having only used the transformation once)). That's actually why goku was still using ssg. It's perfectly plausible for goku to at least be able to buy time against zamasu after having mastered it
AH SEU VOU the manga is still over praised, the art is nice and I do like what they did with the bunch of Merged Zamasus, but Rage Trunks just never happened.
Aaron Cherry it's the whole dilemma of which one you saw first. If you got to watch the anime first, you'll find it better, and vice versa. I, for example, watched both the BoG and RoF sagas on the anime and then read the manga without watching the U6 and FT arcs. I didn't like the way the manga handled the first two sagas but found the others I mentioned to be just fine
Yo.. Say what you will about Gohan getting the shit treatment in the Manga at least they gave him a better outfit. I'm so tired of seeing him in Goku's Gi. I want him in Piccolo's personally. And Like from what i can see in the picture you used, that's what he's wearing. Gives him a bit more of a visual identity other than Goku with boring hair. :o
Like how many games have had him in that? Pretty Much all of them featuring adult gohan. Plus Future Gohan so... that's a full special right there. Not to mention the movies he wears it. Plus if you invest any times into these games, which I'm sure Bandai/Namco/Toei think the fans of the show do. You'd think they'd know how over exposed these are and while that's a good thing it is stale, for me anyways.
Logan Sanders Exactly, he is contradicting himself. Would be different if he had his own GI. That would give him a visual identity and not a clone of Piccolo or Goku like he wants.
Was I right or was I wrong? What would you have changed?
Gokku used in the Anime god ki against trunks as well.
The characterization of Black and Zamasu in the manga.
My guess is that Toyotaro felt the same boredom and frustration that the audience did with the movie rehashes, so he just wanted to get it over with and get to the new content.
feels like it
Trunks1stApprentice Plus, the manga just skips over Resurrection F.
@@DuelaDent52 pretty sure it’s because he already did a res of F manga
That's exactly how I saw it.
Don’t forget that EPIC True Golden Frieza transformation from that episode as well!
Anime - eye candy
Manga - logic
...someone give the anime and manga a pair or potara earrings.
Too bad it'll only last 5 seconds... Like Vegito
Logic in a show where people fly transform and fight at lightspeed this fanbase kek
Logic? How so? Trunks' magic healing powers? Goku's hakai? Mastered ssjb?
William Holtzclaw
Healing powers are explained to be a part of being a Supreme Kai Apprentice.
The goku vs hit fight was amazing
The baseball game was hilarous
Ocean dub vegeta vs Funimation vegeta was nostalgia for long time fans
Pride fallen Nostalgic for peeps that watch the English Dub. I loved it. The subbed version was lame to me.
AsurasPath22 the English dubb i grew up with and how i have more fun memories than the sub but I still give the sub respect
That because toyble plagiarised his own fan manga Dragonball AF and mad Zamasu into the dumb muscle that was the villain of that story
And I disagree, heavily, to the absolute sense. Outside of one detail, the manga villains are so weak and boring to read about.
Henry T do not even bother, he is a manga fanboy and a troll, just ignore
At the end of the video I talk about the future of the channel once Super ends.
Totally Not Mark do u know da wae my brudda
Killua Zoldyzk *Sigh*
Too Superior 2.0 do u have Ebola
Totally Not Mark Thx for the Vids TNM!
It shall return.
I hate how weak they made Hit in the manga, he went from a good character to just another wall for Goku to easily punch through.
They should have had goku overpowering Hit with Super Saiyan God until he upgrades his time skip and also reveal himself as a martial artist who knows over a hundred martial arts since he's a 1000 years old.
you acting like they did something with his character in the anime lmao
@Guy with glasses I mean hit is an alien just like goku,
Whos to say saiyans are the only race who improve as they fight
Good call. Zamasu basically watched GodTube one day and decided "Yeah, let's go steal Goku's body" in the manga.
He stole Goku's body, after fighting, which wouldn't have happened if Goku Black never went to the FT timeline
Yea genius writing 10/10 makes spook much sense
Henry T and the fact that he was laughing while taking the scythe out of his hand makes it amazing.
@@newlicent he had a creepy smile on his face throughout which is threatening. He got beaten to shit and yet he hasn't lost his composure
My problem with the manga:
- lots of skipping
- minor content
- needs more chapters
My problem with the anime:
- horrible story writing in most parts
- no love for many characters like Tien or Buu (they have enough filler episodes to include and develop them)
- and most important: energy beams from hell! Defaq is with the KameHameHa? I can make the beams better with the program paint!
Though the Final Flash in 122 and the episodes since then are really fantastic.
don't forget for the anime:
ATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA
OnurCradible Don't forget how the anime there's no making sense thing.
like Super Saiyan Rage Trunks. how vegito didn't do any damage. and other things
The fuck are you even talking about with the beams comment?
OnurCradible
Except they gave Buu his own episodes.
Manga? "I'M BETTER THAN KAKAROT!!!!"
Seriously? You just... make Vegeta's entire development as a character in the tense situation have Vegeta powering up because he's jealous?
Meh idk gohan in picollo clothes is so cool
But it makes more sense for him to honor Piccolo doesn't it? I mean it does to me, I also prefer the Piccolo outfit of Gohan than any other outfit.
Gohan is piccolo's student so it makes more sense he would wear his gi
@@henryt3301 Sorry, I know this comment is 4 years old, but Gohan wanted to wear Goku's clothes, because he was dead at the time, he thought he was gonna be the new protector of earth, while Goku stayed dead. There's no need for him to wear it now.
The goku in the thumbnail looks kinda scary
Just KI. BLADES.....
That's all.
ML WARRIOR you raise a pretty good point
Is anybody gonna mention the potafu arc with the dub of super?? Probably the best of the filler arcs in my opinion. Seeing my vegeta from growing up with new age vegeta was heartwarming and awesome to say the least. If only gotenks didnt get owned by copy vegeta.
InvadoZimm it was definitely much more enjoyable than the sub version imo I felt more engaged
InvadoZimm
Yup. Drummond turned that arc from garbage to good enough. I'm still not saying it was good because every scene without Copy Vegeta was soooo boring. But that's just me.
Toon Trooper I know the bar is looooow, but as filler goes I didn't hate it even the first time around.
The Anime did the Tournament of Power Arc so much better.
The mangas failing points are indeed mostly the things it skips over in comparison the anime fails in execution of parts we do see
michael deering objectivity graces the comment section, finally.
Future Warrior AMV 2.0 tell me what make the story writting bad
Future Warrior AMV 2.0 the manga has FAR worse story telling and character writing, especially in the Black arc.
gohan has been training since the ressurection f arc, its shown in an extra panel. He is shown exiting the gravity room
Ahhhhhhh. Oh well, either way I like dbs.
Amen.
Horus The The galactic order - You can't be normal if you like any version of Super to be honest.
Thugs Bunny
We have those who like the show, we have those who criticize the show, and then there’s you.
@@LightningAsh normality is overrated anyway
Ressurection F wasn't in the DB Super manga because it had its own 3 issue mini series of the same name.
Already confirmed that it is not part of the super manga
it was covered in the latest chapter, chapter 32. Basically a flashback.
Anime is good.
Manga is good.
People will prefer the version they like.
So let's not get too heated over what people like. 😋
ItsJustJvan
No you'r....
Oh wait. A normal response.
Thank gosh.😅 I thought I was gonna be yelled at. As is par for the course in DB video comments.😋
PopstarChamp I can agree with this as well if anything the manga and anime need each other
PopstarChamp I just wish the manga was adapted to become the anime.
The sexual tension between Freiza and Goku..... What a lovely scene
Wait, Gohan wears Piccolo's colors in the manga?!
That almost makes up for him not getting his strength back on-panel.
I'm not even joking.
Redoing the movies in anime was Toriyama’s idea.
Same thing with Hit, Fused Zamasu, and Trunks.
Did Mark just try to justify Trunk's 'Spirit Sword' shenanigans?
Honestly, the whole Tournament of Power could fit in here
So happy you're staying Mark, you've become my favorite dragon Ball TH-camr. I love everything you post man ☺
Both have their merits, anime for the acting and action, manga for storytelling and lore.
Bog - anime only
Rof - anime movie recut
U6 - manga (cabba vs vegeta, and goku vs hit from anime)
FT - manga ( some anime scenes as this was one of the only arcs that felt like the manga and anime complimented each other)
TOP - for now anime but i do like gohan in piccolos gi instead.
I agree with all 12 statements.
I also don't like Hit and Black in the manga.
Well either way, Manga+Anime are far better than GT.
4 Keep crying kid
4 not only you did not expose shit, but also act like your opinion is better than everyone else, this is just pathetic
4 you just keep exposing yourself as a hypocrite and as an actual manga fanboy, so really the only fanboy here is you, and you trying to talk shit when you show yourself to be the fanboy here is quite funny
4 This is quite pathetic, you wanting to say that I went ghost makes you seem really stupid when I commented not only in this video even before you appeared to talk shit but also I commented in every new video of geekdom, universe of Q, mark, ajay and rhymestyle, so again you are just being ignorant and trying to talk shit when you do not make even research
Now you want to tell fucking lies, it was never said that the manga will pass the anime, so now you are just making shit up, so stop you are making yourself look bad and exposing yourself as a manga fanboy
"And that fight takes up 4 whole episodes!"
Dragon Ball sure has changed a lot, hasn't it?
And Toyotaro thought that it was alright just having him rip off his shirt to show those abs -.-'
Well at least Toyotaro is learning a little from his mistakes by giving Jiren some actual character, so I hope he doesn't screw it up
I love what DBS is doing with Frieza! He has such a devious, cunning, evil personality. It's great!
I think Goku black Arc is better than anime they explained story better than anime
How was Goku more of a jerk in the manga
@@jahnaviketha6300 Two notable examples would be where he dissed Gohan for not wanting to fight in the Tournament between Universe 6 and 7 and the other where he asks why Vegeta should care about his own child being born when he didn't and while Goku never acts like an insensitive jerk all the time these examples feel particularly egregious with the second one also managing to make Goku look like a giant idiot no different from his abridged counterpart.
Did you draw your background?? Cause it kinda looks like your style from the drawing vid
Michael Miserendino yep that’s him
Honestly it's hard to bring it up since there's no scene that is a direct comparison, but Vegeta suddenly pulling Gamma Burst Flash out his ass, which was strong enough to kill multiple Fusion Zamasu?
Hedoro well, it’s not that much of a hard question honestly, it clearly eas a last ditch effort, my guess is that it fucks his stamina up, also, if Vegita did a full power Final Flash against a unguarded fused zamasu(MANGA) it would probably kill him also
4 it is your fucking opinion, it does not mean you are fucking right
dwaatwood ya realize vegeta was weakened after all the fighting they just did right? Then pulls out the gamma burst flash and kills two whole merged zamasus. Dat dont make sense.
Almond Flipper he didn't kill them wtf he took out their arm and leg.
Can’t we just say the anime and manga are equal and call it a day?
Mitchell 20 I hope so but I think we all can agree that they have their strengths and weaknesses
No
Yes thank you
Glad to hear Totally Not Mark will continue to strive! Definitely agree with all of your choices - Especially #4 (terribly underrated)
Anime - If you want to care for the characters
Manga- If you want to know how dragon ball will be if it was written by a fan.
Yo mark do you watch any of the fellow anime:
Nanatsu no taizai
Shingeki no kyojin
One punch man
Boku no hero acedamia
Black clover
Or Boruto
1998 one punch man is the only good show in that list
Denis N sir shingeki no kyokin is by far the best anime ever made one punch man is second and seven deadly sins is fucking anime I recommend you watch it trust me if you like Shōnen you’ll like nanatsu no taizai
1998 well seven deadly sins is good I already watched it but attack on titan is far from the best anime
I watched all of them except black clover is that good?
RPG BlackSaiyan2 a lot of people bash on black clover and if you watch you’ll see why but in my opinion it’s and good anime
Makes about as much sense as Toppo being able to do so.
@@Champsr0ck2247 Toppo is a God Of Destruction candidate.
Kajin TheFireGod
Well obviously it has better character drawings.
This is some top-quality shit Mark, glad to see it'll stick around
i was waiting for the manga to try and damage controle caulifla turning SS throu back tingles..........somehow they made it worse and and did it off-screen in like 2 hours
and as usuall they gave the blandest and laziest excuse that DB franchise always use when they're backed to the corner
*"you're a prodigy"* ................yeah... no i'll take the back tingles please
C Vox
I don't think back tingles would've been hated as much if they didn't use the word "tingles." It makes it sound too weak and it doesn't help that Caulifla and Kale look like sticks.
C Vox dude stfu it's obvious that the creators of the story intended on universe 6 saiyanz trans forming easily all u fuckers do is complian what's fucking good enough dude
Trunks and gotten say hi
Isaiah Bell
if you're a blind fanboy with shitty low standard
don't be surprised that others are not the same
this was horrible even in DB standard....and i'm not gonna pretend it's not...it's not impossible to find a way to make it a bit more believable
hell use the geekdom theory headcannon he made and i'll be ok
instade he decided to skip all over it like it neve matter knowing that braindead fans like you will accept it mindlessy....it's people like you that accept any bullshit the show throw that result in the lazy writing we see and the franchise as a whole known for being mindless action for junkies that pay no attentions to the plot and story
They already did, it’s S-Cells. So basically midi-chlorians. Tbh I hate the back tinglies too, I do like Caulifla (who is more like Vegeta) looking to Goku for tutelage like Cabba (who is more like Goku than Vegeta) does with Vegeta, but the speedy progression of power and more or less disregard of the Super Saiyan legend and legacy isn’t nice to see
>Dragon Ball Super
>Plays the GT theme in the background
The goku black arc ending is better in the anime.👍🏻
Absolutely.
Just saying your outro just made me subscribe you're a great guy.
If I'm being honest, Gohan doing fuck all in the manga was almost made up for by him putting the demon clan uniform back on. I got more hype from that than anything that happened in the TOP itself.
Fooacta
That was cool but I would've rather seen the Goku vs Gohan fight instead of Gohan just putting on some nostalgic clothes.
I would agree if I hadn't already watched them fight a few months ago. At this point I'm really just reading the manga because of the stronger writing (this is relative, it's still Dragonball). I'm hoping he gets to use his nerd brain for actual planning and strategy this go around.
Fooacta I wished they showed some of the training with gohan. it would of been cool to see goku fight gohan in the manga.
Good video and thank You for it! And thank You for covering the differences between Tournament of power in anime and manga! Cheers!
bro are you gonna resurrect the Google translates Dragon ball z series it was super funny and amazing to watch in terms of hilarious voice acting and horrible translations
Akira Toriyama was the one that insisted that the Anime should recap the movies as the inclusion of Beerus and Whis were vital to the story and he wanted everyone to know about them.
Bouth versions are important to understand dragon ball super at 100%.
ruben suarez no they’re not.
The manga is dependent on the anime. You can watch the anime and have a complete experience, if you just read the manga you’ll have a lot of questions you’ll need to then watch the anime to figure out.
They may not necessarily complement eachother since they are different continuities
Character moments are a dime dozen, the hardest part about writing a story is keeping the quality consistent which the manga does and the anime doesn’t.
isnt this comment some bs
kinda hypocritical isnt it 4, you of all people trying to call me a fanboy, hell with this comment you just prove that the fanboy here is you and a lot of people in the comments already called you out, so you were already exposed as the fanboy here, so again you are being a hypocrite and a manga fanboy
considering you are the one who has been exposed multiple times in the comments you are the one who took an L, you acting like this is just pathetic
You're only wrong on Trunks vs Goku. As a Trunks fan, it was awesome to see him power-up on par with SSJ3.
Danis Pagán agreed. Getting his shit stomped in only to get Mary Sue Assad form and outshine everyone was horrible writing in the anime.
Alexander Aramaki I did not like goku using ssg on trunks. in the manga they should gave him ssj3 then rage later trunks deserved better imo.
I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future!
I hope super won’t end for ever.
It did. It's made a comeback for months now.
StarRider88 no not in that way i meant after series is over
Gratz on 80k!
Awesome Video But I Still Prefer Manga.
Great list, although I disagree with #8 and 9
for the manga, just watch the movies before reading the manga.
for the anime, just watch the movies and then skip the first 2 arcs.
boom, problem solved.
Talk about the anime being better = most fans will agree
talk about the manga being better = watch some fans go apeshit
Super Saiyan Trunks fight against SSJ3 Goku was much better in the manga my man
There wasn't even a fight in the manga, Goku went SSJ3, Trunks powered up, then Goku went God
Anime >>>>>
Both of em have their pros and cons, though I think the manga gets hyped up too much while the anime gets torn down too much.
AnEndlessStrategy honestly, the manga has its fair share of inconsistency
Love you videos man
keep up the good work ;)
why does it have to enddddd!!!!!!
It will return once the new movie is done. That movie is set to air in december, so it's possible that Dragon Ball just takes a year break.
JackOfen nah, super itself is ending.
They did say the dragon Ball series is not ending so there might be a new series.
why? why?
Yeah I heard that too. It will probably have a new name. Maybe it takes place after Goku meets Uub.
that derpy goku to the left is triggering me
What about when goku used the hakai against zamasu in the manga? It undermined the whole meaning of what a god of destruction is, making them useless. If any powerful mortal could use the hakai, then whats the point of beerus?
Episode 94 was incredible, almost all the scenes, there was not action but the moments are memorable.
In my opinion other good moments are:
The end of Fututure Trunks arc, the moment when Gohan appears and Trunks cries broke my heart.
The entire Tournament of Power.
Manga version has been complete shit.
Yeah, tell 'em. It is so stupid
YAY MARK IS STAYING!
"Since a few people might've asked." *Shows picture of crybabies*
Yup, that's about accurate.
Notifications are off, so you'll just be complaining to a brick wall.
just here to say this comment is ignorant and plain bullshit
4 Stop being so ignorant and full of yourself, at this point you are just a troll, your entitled fucking opinion is not a fact, people like what they want and the manga is not better and there is proof, reviews sites show that they are relative as an example my anime list you just act like a total fanboy
considering that you are the one who has been exposed by multiple people in the comments of this video and theshit that you talk you are the only one who is speaking nonsense and should shut the fuck up
I’m very Hyped for this week episode man 17 is my MVP
are you seriously complaining about 10 pages of vegito when we just had less than 7 minutes of him in the anime
I love that in the manga goku just appears with a bruised bloodied frieza and and is just like Hey Guys! What's up!
anime is better then the manga
Tokyo Ghoul says hi and help
Yesss! Great episode dude :)

How the fuck are you tired of seeing him in Goku's Gi WHEN HE WAS ONLY IN IT FOR ONE FULL SAGA IN DBZ!!
So you don't want to wear goku's gi, but piccolo's is fine? That's just making him a clone of piccolo.
Logan Sanders Exactly, he is contradicting himself.
Would be different if he had his own GI. That would give him a visual identity and not a clone of Piccolo or Goku like he wants.
I cant imagine ultimate Gohan in Piccolo's Gi
Fun Fact: krillin and luffy have the same voice actor
I await for 4 to comment
unfortunately he is already talking all that shit and being a bias troll as usual
This is some good content. Y'all Got Any More Of That content?
