Very interesting. Especially the video results. It looks like the first firmware I had on the chinese device. My chinese device is way better on videos. I am even using this mostly for vlogging as of the very good mics and good low light quality. Sharpness is a bit overcooked still but the HDR issues are definitely way way better then what you have here. I wonder why they did not update the global version with the latest firmware that fixes all this issues. In anyway the rest I agree. The Pro modes for video are a bit weak. I also like to see LOG and LUTs and more control over gain on mics as well. I am looking forward for the Pura 80 Ultra. The complete switch to their own OS breaking free from Android and the limitations by it. On my Mate 60 Pro it boosted the camera performance by quite a bit.
If I ever will try to test Huawei in the future, for sure I will get Harmony OS... I had all the latest firmware, always try to update before my tests. I was in a slight shock after I saw "it"... Was not sure, to laugh or to cringe 👾😂🤖
thanks for this review, Man! In the past I used Huawei flagships during 5 years, last one was Mate 40 pro... I am shocked still to see bad video quality and issue with the colors in the darks scenes... Also Huawei Mate 40 pro messed up colors when a lot of small details with different colors, e.g. a map of the Moscow Underground... So photo post processing does not really improve in time...
My biggest sadness was to find out lack of ultra slowmotion that p40 pro had... they even used it in ad materials and trailers 🕐 But I feel it all the time, even with expensive cinema camera releases, for some reason it is considered to be "not needed" feature. I do not know. It is not exciting to get 6k 24 fps for 5.000$... But 2.5k 960 fps not lineskipped - completely different story
Yes, Huawei can give more details and textures in some situations (not all) under certain conditions (not everytime), but overall I think that Vivo is more reliable with better colors/contrast, stabilization and more versatile. I will make Vivo final review, after Pixel and Honor

To be honest for me all camera focused phone are worthless in the existence of vivo x series. I just have a question in my mind. Is there a possibility to install x200 pro camera app on x100 ultra. Like people did with gcam. If possible u will get the latest algorithme in that 1 inch sensor
To tell the truth, i completely disliked all this algorithms in the x200 Pro, i do not know, may be it has something to do with the optics and glass, but i was not a big fan of it. But i think future firmware updates will bring it to x100 Ultra, so people can download it. I am on OS5 now, but without any camera changes, and i think that i wont update any further, i like what i have now. @@AlienTechnologies33 x200 ultra will be a nother story. 818 on a 35mm is just unbelievable. That x100 ultra is just at hos Best is a 1.5/1 cropped to 35mm with taking in mind that you can't get pixel bining in that crop so 1.28/1 with pixel bining on 35mm is insane. Then If you take in mind that the x100 u take terrific fully detailed pic using 1inch stretched out in 23mm so a 1.28/1 concentrated in 35mm will be 🤯. About the ultra wide Rumors said that is again 818 in 13mm I just can't get it in my mind a big 1.28/1 on 13mm is that physically possible! or there is a zeiss optics magic! I think physically it's possible to be 18mm. Again 18mm or 19mm and that is a great focal length for ultra wide way better then 13 14 15. Lower then 16mm is just useless for me so distorted. Tele there is no info other then a small tweaks to the ph9x but i think it will get a bigger amputer f2.4 f2.2 idk and a smaller minimal Focal length for macro 12cm or so. All of that with an incredible video capabilities in all 3 lenses and a 35mm look that no one will think that u shot on a phone and add to that great mics of the x200 pro. In the end x200 ultra is just insane.
@AlienTechnologies33 If u think that the x100 ultra is insane then the X200 ultra will be from another word. A 818 1/1.28 on 35mm! An x100 ultra get fully detailed pics with an 1inch stretched out to a ~23.5mm that take in account that the x100 ultra is cropped to 1.5/1 in 35mm mode Without the possibility of pixel bining. so what about a fully read out new sensor of 1/1.28 that is so consontrated in just 35mm😳!! And with pixel bining!!! Vivo no longer need to use ai to add details but they will anyway 🤷 and a depth of field that is so natural in that focal length just look at nubia Z60 or z70 and just with 1.56 sensor!!! Just insane. And that just in photography in videography is even a bigger upgrade a new fast reading sensor with higher dynamic range and a 35mm look that no one will think that u took it on a phone with vivo insane stability that rumors said that it will be even better on the x200 ultra without forgetting the high cash that 8 elite provide everything will be smooth. Just hope they add external log recording and u can just say goodbye to Apple videography dominance. Then about the Ultra wide rumors said that it will be the same 818 sensor but in 13mm. Even if there is room I just can't get it how it will be physically possible or there is a zeiss optical magic to that! Anyway i hope it will be at least a 16mm or best be 18 or 19mm cz lower then 16mm is just stupid for me so distorted so useless. For the telephoto there is not much info rather then small tweaks to the hp9x and a bigger apeture i guess a 85mm 2.4 or 2.2 idk with smaller maximum focal distance of 12cm or so so it will bi micro not just macro capability. Again i can't reply to u 🤦 i think we don't need a 1inch in 35mm. a 1/1.28 35mm will be to be too tall for a phone a 1inch can add a 7mm or more of thickness. so for one like u and me it's totally acceptable lol but don't forget that most people are already complaining about the current phones camera bump lol. and the most important thing that if u calculat a it bit u will find that a 1inch sensor with ziess Glass need just 25mm f1.75 to give a lossless results in details without a need of ai upscaling.
