I begin this walk from Clipstone West Signalbox on the High Marnham Test Track during a gorgeous sunrise. Leaving this behind, i set off on a route that will eventually lead me to Thoresby Colliery Junction Signalbox and also the promise of a somewhat rare working on this line.
Taking in the views around Edwinstowe & Rufford, the sky ever brightening as the walk gets going.

The chill of the morning air and the sun warming the bones, topped with soothing music what else could we ask for, brilliant thanks,
Was lucky to have an afternoon off today, so took my elderly mum in her wheelchair for a walk in the sunshine it made such a difference to her after been in the house for so long.

It was extremely worthwhile getting up at 5:45am on a day off. I'm pleased you enjoyed it, and you and you're mother had a good day too ❤️

Your trekking videos are absolutely fantastic 👍🏻 You give so much information on your walks on what's going on, top marks. Nottinghamshire had so many railway lines it was a Mecca for train enthusiasts like myself. I spent many days at Toton Shirebrook and other locations back in the 70s when it was really busy with freight trains. So your videos do bring back some happy memories. Cheers Stevie. Oh I'm a Lancashire lad lol 😂

Glad you like them! There was a plan to go to Lancashire this Autumn until Covid reared its head again. I'll get it done though eventually.
There will be more Nottinghamshire stuff now with Lockdown 2

Really nicely produced video. What a great time of the day to enjoy the rich colors as the sun rises. Great use of the drone too. Stay safe....Ian

Another beautiful walk, and seeing the train was a nice bonus. "Permitted walk". That's a very chilling phrase to hear.

Thanks for that Ant, first time I've seen anything on that line in my 60 yrs. Never even seen coal delivered to High Marnham & living in Lincoln I have no excuses ! BTW.. always nice to catch a woodpecker at work. Thanks again, always enjoy the walk.

I've never heard so many woodpeckers than I have this year, it's brilliant 🙂 I've seen a handful on that line, they generally get cancelled or run early. Glad you enjoyed it 😀

Fantastic you have spoiled us again. Great photography and music capturing the early morning feel of the area. The train looked like one of their new track cleaning vehicles which you timed to perfection. Really enjoyed it as always. Looking forward to the next. Many thanks.

Excellent video. I use the A614 quite a bit but never appreciated how lovely the countryside is around it. Even more evocative for being filmed at sunrise and for the excellent accompanying soundtrack. Thanks so much and I will look forward eagerly to your next videos.

Hi Ant, my Son and I had just been out for our exercise, so it was nice to sit down and watch what you have been up to. I really had no idea that it was so nice around Edwinstowe, the frost adds another dimension making a great walk all round. The drone shots of Rufford and the signalbox were spot-on, I hope you didn't use all your battery power!! Already looking forward to the disused railway walks coming up, which brings me to the point that I have been doing some map reconnaissance on the old Bingham to Leicester line, it looks interesting but as yet I've been unable to get out to it on foot. However, as soon as this virus situation is sorted I'll be straight out, cheers mate.

Lovely walk. The photographs you took whilst out on your walk were amazing, the sun just looked great as it rose through the trees. Despite the disappointment, the works train looked really nice with the low sun shining towards it. 👍 GWR

Great stuff keep it up. Really like the map of the walk especially from here in Australia and being an ex pat from Hucknall & Kirkby in Ashfield, brings back memories and helps my wife get an insight into the area I migrated from.

Morning, thanks for the map feedback. It's the first time I've tried it. I can't add it to already completed walks, but any going forward I will 🙂

All out of puff for an MPV and then you say there were 37s the day before - didn't need to be knowing that😠😠😠
Best part of the day, great sunrise shots.

I've recently come across your videos. I really enjoy them. Some give a different perspective on walks I've done myself and others give me ideas for my own future walks - and when i need to take a pair of secateurs with me!
      Keep up the good work.
      All the best.
