mijaoldies, yah I checked your sounds and I'm telling you the Citations are a perfume for the ear, many thanks. of course it was Eddie that bring me here.
Throughout his entire career 'Eddie Palmieri' made only one album (not one of his best either) for Fania. Eddie wanted nothing to do with either Pacheco or Masucci. He said that he would not be produced by a Maraca player.
@raul6747 hey... me gusta esa musica, me puedes nombrar algunos exponentes de esa generación, me harias muuuuy feliz.... yo no conozco, pq estoy muy chavo.....
....decent people gentlemens,,,,sir TOMMY OLIVENCIA,,,,,RAPHAEL ITHIER,,,,RAFFY LEVITT,,,don JORGE MILLET,,,,KIKE LUCA,,,PELLIN,,,TITO PUENTE, and among many others, example to follow.
@frnkgnz ......PACHECO, a maraca player,,,,,,,,,,,,do you agree with dat,,,,,,,,,,PACHECO es un MAESTRO uno de los mas fino que a dao la salsa,,,,,pacheco iso mas que eddie en la salsa.
Stupid, I did not call Pacheco a 'Maraca Player'. Eddie Palmieri said that he did not want to do an album with Fania because he did not want to be produced by Johnny Pacheco a Maraca Player. Now you may consider Pacheco a maestro but the sheer volume of quality music that Palmieri made dwarfs the Maraca player. One thing that Pacheco did better than Palmieri was help Masuci rip off artists like Tito Curet who wrote many of the big hits that came out of Fania and was so barely paid.
