N scale: twin tables - (think I need more engines)

    I like the layout!
    If you're going for realism, I would get rid of half of that inside loop surrounding the turntables, and turn it into a lead track. Keep the double track mainline, and connect the second turntable via a spur going off the track that goes to the first one. Keep the connection that connects the two turntables if you want, but bigger locomotives might not be able to fit on the turn table so they might need extra space to move.
    If you want extra realism, make a small yard and put the turn table going off of that, as well as an engine repair track, maybe a rip track.
    For the yard, an industry only need 1-2 tracks each, so limit that to how many you have. Have a really long track either for staging trains or storing cars.

      Everything is down and wired. Yard is on the other end of the layout. I dont go off the rivot counters handbook lol. Like Steve Brown always says its my railroad my rules

    That is a really neat idea with the double turntable set up. I never would've thought of doing that. Personally, I would align it so that you could go straight from one to the other

      Thats how i have it set up. Go in from the 3rd loop from one table to the other
