Thanks Ken. I cant take the credit for the Strap twisting, a fellow camper told me about it a few years back. Thanks for watching. James

Thanks for this. Bought a Kampa 200 a few years ago second hand. Have had no reason to use the straps so far. 40mph+ winds forecast in the Gower this pm so decided to get them out. Previous owner had tied the elastics to the rings which confused me a bit. Found your video. Just needed to untie them and attach as you explained. All looking good and tight now. Cheers.

That's great. I'm glad we could help. Hopefully, all will be fine in the wind. Stay safe & and happy camping.

Twist the vibrations out, very effective 👍

It's a lot to do with the Airflow Colin rather than making a clean path for the air over the strap you disturb the air preventing a pressure differential and stopping it vibrating. Thanks for commenting. James

Thanks for the video. Had no idea how to set up the straps so they are secure. Been sat open mouthed on a campsite staring at them in a gobsmacked Victor Meldrew type way.

Nice one , I keep forgetting to turn the straps perhaps I should buy the bright colour ones to remind me.

Lol, easy enough to remedy if they start vibrating. Thanks for commenting Ian. James

Useful vlog - we use these and similar on both our awnings, and the sun canopy as well. Gives peace of mind. Thank you. George and Trish CaravanningMacs.

They are so easy to fit, I tend to fit them all the time. Thanks for watching. James

these are very flimsy, ok for light windy conditions but of no use for real storms, the bungie and peg are useless and won't survive. the straps themselves are pretty good. I modified mine with springs and long pegs. the weakest links are (pegs & bungie's) if you intend to leave your £3,000 awning out for several seasons then DON'T go cheap BUY ISABELLA STRAPS trust me they are AWSOME. my Kampa straps failed and cost me dearly.

Hi thanks for commenting. Yes I do agree and on most occasions I do use a more robust peg rather than the crucifix type supplied. I will take a look at the Isabelle ones. Thanks for the heads up. Thanks for watching and happy camping. James
