I can’t believe people didn’t like this game, in some ways it’s better than T7. Kazuya’s back, up + 1&2 for one thing, you get Devil transformation. In 7, you need to be in rage for it to even work.
I know right!? In my opinion it’s one of the best Tekken games I have ever played (next to Tekken 2). Far more enjoyable than T7 for sure! Not to mention that it is probably the most graphically beautiful Tekken game to date and it’s a 10 year old game. The character models in T7 look fat in my opinion.
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade I swear Kazuya has moves in Tag 2 he doesn’t have in 7. Anyway Tag 2 is probably my favourite fighter on PS3. Now if the switch for whatever reason cannot handle 7 then at least they should port Tag 2 to switch. They did it for the Wii U of all things.
Exactly! The devil transformation move is my favorite! I do agree, I wish Namco could have ported TTT2 to the Switch. I have the Wii U version and it’s pretty awesome. NAMCO did port Pokémon Tournament to the Switch though which was interesting 🤔
Haha, I could never forget the 30fps shadows when I played Tekken Tag 2 a lot at the arcades. It was one the first things I noticed back then along with the clearer image. It was such a strange design choice with how they went with that.
It’s always very nice to see your comments dude! I read this article about the tekken team during the development of TTT2 and they said the reason for the 30FPS shadows and lower resolution (1280X720p)/interlaced cutscenes was due to the limited VRAM on the PlayStation 3 hardware. There was a myth going around that the system 369 was more powerful and had more ram than a regular PlayStation 3 but it’s not true, it’s just a regular PlayStation 3 slim motherboard with custom firmware. I’ll link the article here:gigazine.net/gsc_news/en/20110907_tekken_cedec2011/ I also uploaded the Tekken 6 BL video as well! Feel free to check it out! :D
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade Awwwh, thanks. That's very interesting. They were able to optimize the performance of the console version by having 60fps shadows and more realistic ambient occlusion, but the trade off was the implementation of dynamic resolution. When using tag mechanics like tag assault, tag throws, etc. the resolution goes down to maintain a stable frame rate. Not too bad, though. I kinda didn't like the dynamic resolution at first, especially when it goes down to 720x720, but it's necessary. I'd be totally against downgrading graphics just for the sake of maintaining a higher resolution, which many modern games are already prioritizing. I'd rather have 1440p stable 60fps with graphics set to its highest quality over 4K not-so-stable 60fps with downgraded textures, effects, and other graphical aspects.
I do have all the console ports and they do run a bit more stable although with some textual downgrades and others like you have mentioned. I will say that the Wii U version would have been the best version only if it wasn’t for the terrible loading. I do have a comparison video in the works and it should be interesting! It may also be my longest video at around 45 mins-1 hour long as I will try not to leave any details out and it will be in the same format as my Tekken 5 comparison video. My Tekken 6 video will also be in the same format as well as other future fighting game comparison videos. Stay tuned! And as always, I appreciate your comments/ Arcade knowledge! :D
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade Oh neat there's actually english coverage on that presentation, I only managed to found the japanese slides but never finished reading it.
The Wii U version could be the best port of the 3, specially because it includes de Tekken Ball minigame which is not included on PS3 or Xbox 360 ports. BUT i have to say i really hate all the Nintendo/Mario stuff they added... For God's sake it looks ridiculous and it has nothing to do in a Tekken game
I must admit the graphics of the arcade version looks AWESOME compared to the PS3 graphics. And ofcourse its very very noticeable the arcade version runs at 60fps. A big difference with the PS3 version is the Fallen Garden stage (my favourite one), while in the arcade the beautiful purple leaves tree of the background is absolutly dry without leaves, the PS3 one keeps the leaves and they even change the color to a gray one after a period of time while the fight in on.
Surprisingly the arcade version isn’t quite as optimized as the console ports. While the arcade version is noticeable sharper, it does suffer from a bit of slowdown (I have 2 units btw in which both have the same issue). Upgrading to an SSD seems to fix it though. Also, as my good friend has pointed out, the arcade version has 30FPS shadows while the console ports don’t (true 60 FPS). Kinda strange.
Great video! One thing I want to do is to play the actual arcade versions of Tekken games from the cabinet. I played Tekken 7.0 on Arcade cabinet before and Tag 1. but I need to play the others.
Mas, when playing the Tekken tag tournament, you choose tag, you choose Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Why don't you just choose the ogre and the kazama genie. I think the ogre is faster to beat him, as far as I know, bro?
What move was that at 2:55 the hammer fist one. I saw some Kazuya movelist videos but didn't see that move there. Is it because those videos are outdated? What's the name of this move?
3:46
Jun: "Am I cool doing this?"
Kazuya: "Nope..." Proceed to walk away

No. We like this game. I'm telling you as a persone.
Underrated honestly, with I think the biggest roster of the series

Kazuya: let's make some another baby again...
Jun: hell no,if you still have a blood's devil into you...😤😠
Great footage. Always nice to see arcade versions uploaded
Image if they remasterd Tekken Tag 2 for Ps5 and PC
wow It actually still looks really impressive over 10 years later 😀😀😀👍
Damn Unknown getting covered by the purple slime at the beginning of credits is not what we saw on console.
We js saw a neon lighted wall

The staff roll here gives off vibes like its the last Tekken game

Jun Kazama was a third character in every Tekken.
i honestly miss music from older tekkens
Are there no character endings on the arcade version?
No
Easily my favourite Tekken, hope I can find a cabinet someday
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Arcade Unlimited Jin Kazama & Devil Jin next
Doing the electric wind God fist is much easier to do in arcades
Lol her smile in the credits xD
Dont know why they didnt use the video clip in this staff roll for the console version
Fantastic!!
I went too some guy house n he has this game in a noir cab.
It’s you lol! Hi Max! 😂
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade oh damn it !!. LOL 😂

The wolf in tag 2 is different with original one
Where can we get this version ?? Also does this suported in teknoparrot emulator yet ???
I’m using the real arcade hardware, not emulation
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade wow nice , i wish we could play this on an emulator as well , maybe at some day !!
Arriba los corazones. ❤️💕💖💗💞
The arcade credits hit different compared to the console one. Unknown being consumed by the purple water gives off a sad kind of vibe.
Do you have a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited arcade cabinet, if you do then does it have instruction cards
What is different between vanila and unlimited?

bro, where is the Tekken tag tournament game located?
Uh, I own it, I have a personal collection of arcade hardware.
Can you tell me the location, where is the Tekken tag tournament, bro?
Why? I have it in my house lol! 😂
Hmm... definitely a bit more crisp than the PS3 version, imo.
arcade edition is better than home edition
