The singers (Helena Paparizou - Nikos Panagiotidis) are Greeks. They just born in Sweden, by Greek parents, of course. The composer of this song is the Greek singer ''Giorgos Alkaios''. The first performance is by the Greek singer ''Notis Sfakianakis'', in 1992.
@@ΑχιλλέαςΔέδας87 and the producers are Swedish... The guy in the duo is working at Volvo. Helena/Elena moved permanently to Greece in 2004 and has been naturalized. Those are facts, the cover song is swedish/Greek and in fact at the time 1999 they were completely unknown in Greece.
Mayah I have a personal reason to dislike Gypsies, not all of them are bad, but back home they target the weak and the vulnerable in society (including members of my family), they don't want to make money and earn an honest's day work, they don't want to go to school and be educated (even if education is free for everyone), they steal, they don't want to be integrated, and then they complain about being persecuted! You don't know how it's like to live with them, if you love them so much, you should move in with them and see how much you love them after! We Romanians live relatively peacefully alongside many ethnic minorities e.g. Turkish muslims, Hungarians and Germans, there is a reason why we can't do so with gypsies.
chinesenutter You made a good case for youself and I understand your dislike for gypsies. However didn't liek what you wrote about Greece for Greeks only, that comes of a bit racist especially due to the recent events in Greece where a lot of Third world immigrants were targeted for crimes over there. Don't condone violence and discrimination.
Mayah Well you could have wrote that instead of talking about Romania and gypsies, you made it sound like an insult, in fact you are the racist one, you are the hypocrite...saying that "gypsies like you.... shut up filthy rat" etc. And like I said, if you love Third world immigrants, you should go and live with them and see how it's like, when they start implementing their religion and customs on the local native people, and they start breeding like rats, and within a few generations you feel like STRANGER in your own country. The countries in the Balkans, unlike those in western Europe, had to fight foreign invaders for centuries as to ensure that their religion and culture survived, considering the many genocides and years of imperialism, you also insult my country without knowing anything about it... you should read up on history, then you might understand. I have nothing more to say.
