I haven't watched this series in a longggg time, so when I saw this video I had to go back to episode 4, watch everything that I missed and come back to see this. I'm so excited to watch it
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH OTWF MY BELOVED HOW IVE MISSED YOU My thoughts: Omori clearly can possess/control the actions of NPC's or Boss characters. Capt. Spaceboy so far is the only such boss to try and fight the possession but its clear that Omori has powerful control over them and their actions, as referenced by the 'headache' and the voices that Capt. Spaceboy claims to have. Next, Mari. She is interesting in that unlike the other headspace kids, her eyes are empty. She has no sign of life or brightness but she acts like Mari, because why wouldn't she? She doesn't hinder but its clear she cares about her missing brother. I wonder if Omori is using Mari as a means to watch them through her eyes but not possess her, or if perhaps Mari will become an enemy because shes on Omori's side, because well... that's sort of her purpose. To support and care for him. But we will have to see. off to scream tho.

THIS CHAPTER WAS AMAZING WHAAAAT! THE LITTLE INTERACTION BETWEEN BASIL AND MARI BEFORE HE HAD TO GO WAS SO ADORABLE 😭 CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER! THIS WAS AMAZING 💙💗
As always this episode was absolutely fire. But to really let what happened sink into my mind, I'll just recap what happens, highlight my favourite parts, theorize a bit etc. Obviously spoilers for this episode. So first of all, Captain Spaceboy starts to lose control after hearing what happened to Basil in the previous episode. He can barely hold the overflowing emotion of losing everything, which is starting to awaken his other personality. This time, not because Sweetheart left him, but because her and her entire castle vanished into nothingness and his home is about to do the same. In a moment where he loses control, I think he starts to blame the faraway gang for what happens to the world but I'm not entirely sure. His other part did have some kind of hate towards them but he hates everyone anyways soo... and that's why he traps them in Snowglobe Mountain. I first thought it was a desperate attempt at getting them out of trouble even though it's freezing out there, since the ship was probably too far away to reach, but it was actually to get rid of them as we can see later in the episode when they realize he took Basil's jam. The Snowglobe Mountain segment is just great. It's somewhat slow (even the music is slowed down), it's cold, perfect for a freezing environment. I particularily like the mirror showing how each of them are already worn out and dying, with Aubrey looking really tired, and dying shortly after (I'd only wish the scene of Basil holding Aubrey in his arms was more visible. We only get the point of view of one of them at a time and can't see both at the same time even though it would've made a heartbreakingly beautiful scene. But I'm not an artist so I don't know if it would actually be very difficult to draw). The death of both Kel and Hero also hit really hard, but not as much I was ready for them to come. I like how they already knew they were going to die just before and encouraged the others to continue since they also anticipated it. Then Basil finally collapses at the top of the mountain just as the Headspace gang are coming to rescue them. Between the mirror scene and Aubrey's death, there is a little segment of the headspace gang finding Capt Spaceboy and finding out the Faraway friends are trapped in the Snowglobe Mountain. I really liked how the Headspace gang instantly realized the danger they were in when they heard it, with the red background and the music suddently sounding as panicked as them. Once Basil wakes up in the ship after being rescued, he snaps at Spaceboy. Now something which caught my eye in that scene is Basil's face at around 34:00. It's probably just a coincidence but I like to imagine his eyes show that Arum amplified a little his anger because they remind me of Arum's eyes. The headspace gang, who had the time to cool off, try to explain to Basil he shouldn't be too hard on Capt Spaceboy. Basil goes in the recuperation room to find his friends back alive. They talk about how terrible it was to die and see others dying. Mari encourages them but seems sad. My guess is that she's either worried for Omori and/or Sunny, or that she's a bit disturbed and sad to remember that the Mari in their world died. I mean, it must be really weird to be surrounded by people who come from another world in which you are dead right?Anyway Spaceboy is losing control once again for some reason we don't know yet and the ship starts falling. Just before that, he says that he doesn't want to do something, but we don't know what. After the rest of the friends are held at gunpoint telling him to take back control he recklessly drops them into the sea. It seems to really be to help them this time, but it still sounds odd for him to drop them into the water like that. Probably not a big deal though. And then he turns into my story's main character for a second when he thinks about how he's probably going to die very soon, along with the world.
