Should’ve let the female detective lead the interrogation, of a cam girl can get $270,000 out of him , an actual woman could get a confession from him.

These young people really need it, too. I didn't have an easy time of it growing up, by pretty much any objective measure it was at best "troubled," but it was a cakewalk compared to what some of them deal with now. It's not just because the world got more complicated, though that is a factor, it's because they don't have any of the psychological tools for dealing with any of it that we took for granted. That's got to be why they're so much more focused on mental health than past generations. I went hungry, I got beaten, sometimes I didn't have decent clothes to wear, but I also knew how to keep my head screwed on through all of it because I had at least twenty adults in my life like Bruce who could show me how.

He was like you, not quite the length, but after two years he was in the bar and tempted to get himself a double scotch I am Scottish, we all convinced him to get a soft drink instead and immediately after we all ordered double whiskeys and pints ect, it me think, the issue isn’t that alcohol, it’s an addictive personality, this is what you would be treated for in the UK not sobriety issues, I can’t imagine not having a drink on new year, people in Scotland and Ireland would genuinely take it as an insult and refuse to be in the company of a man who can’t have a drink, it’s odd, but recognising you cannot handle drink is great, but don’t you ever think after all those years you maybe have the ability to control it better, even have a third party look after your money and enjoy a bottle of sherry or port, something to savour as you clearly have a constitution that permits you to fully absorb alcohol, under control you could be missing out, you could be a connoisseur or something

I remember hearing about this case a year or so ago. Iirc, Grant got kicked out or ran away from home once before and went to stay with an aunt. He ended up stealing money from the aunt so he could talk to Sylvie. The aunt wanted to press charges against him, but his parents intervened and asked her not to. I think that was part of what Grant's surviving brother was talking to him about when he mentioned how he should've been in jail for the things he's done.

Wasn't it the sleuths on Reddit who suggested the reason why Grant was injecting his patients with Propofol was because taking care of his patients annoyed & inconvenienced him, so he would knock them out with that drug so he wouldn't have to do any work, not because of his pathetic excuse that he was "helping" patients whose pain was not being "adequately addressed" like he said in his statement to the cops.
Grant Amato's entire worldview is a dangerous delusion. He simply has no connection with reality, probably because he spent most of his life thinking he was the main character in the stupid anime in his head, so reality was never his concern, only winning over his supreme waifu in Bulgaria because Grant has absolutely no connection with his feelings, his personality or his behavior, and the mind of a delusional narcissist is a dangerous & life threatening phenomena to encounter.
To annihilate his parents and his brother so Grant could continue to see Sylvie is incomprehensible, so malevolent and so blind was Grant Amato's love for a camgirl he never met, talked face to face with, or embraced. He sat stone faced and silent throughout the entirety of his trial, and it's clear that his family were only a means to an end to him, and Grant killed him when they refused to let him indulge any longer in a complete fantasy with a camgirl. Reality is completely foreign to Grant, and he will never understand what he has stolen &btaken away from everyone around him.
Grant is a violent fantasist who will lash out and use violence to get his way, yet will continue to play the victim and blame everyone else for his predicament. He is right where he belongs, away from other family he can victimize and completely away from the camgirl that started this entire saga of death and lunacy, for whom Grant was infatuated with, and having zero contact with her for the rest of his pathetic existence is the punishment he truly deserves.

saved how? Did she get a confession? No. Did they learn anything new? No. They had probably the most open and shut case of triple homicide I've probably ever seen... at least in MANY MANY years, and he stonewalled them for 6 hours while they talked about Jesus and honesty or trying to get him to cop to 'defense'. Neither of these two were strong interviewers, she just seemed to be less weak, by a very small amount than he was. They failed this up and down. Failed to understand how depraved he was. Failed to understand how addicted he was. Failed to make the interview about HIM. And failed to try multiple tactics. Just mention Jesus again.
I've seen interviews where guys get confessions from emotionless, antisocial deviants, and it wasn't by throwing photos in their face and pretending they know he knows why he's here. They did it by appealing to the accused isolation, matching accused's contempt for the victims with empathy (hey i know what it's like to be kicked out/cut off), and, essentially, praising their skill at homicide like you would a toddler hitting a ball off a tee.

The first slip-up I detected was at 1:03:51 in the interview: "My dad *was* a very like angry violent type person." Up till then, he had been careful not to refer to his parents or Cody in the *past tense* (as the police had not notified him of the deaths yet), but here he reveals something that he *should not have known* - that his Dad no longer "is", but now "was."

Grant annihilated his family on an impulse and then immediately used his dead brother's credit card to access the cam site on a public wi-fi network. I think you are grossly overestimating his foresight and intelligence if you believe that he gave any consideration to fine details like the tense he would use while referring to his family.

Socio hates the only child & her children as I was her POA & the only thing standing in his way. HIPA rules never applied. Socio greases his way through friends & family, mother abandons only child & grandchildren. POA yanked, only child & grandchildren tossed on our ear. Zero contact last 5 years of her life. He got new motorhome, nice house & quite a bit of $$ out of the deal. I was the "lying, money-hungry daughter", naturally. Easiest lie for all to believe. Former cam girl here: I absolutely HATED it, but it was a means to pay rent and feed my child on and off for two years until I finally found steady work. I applied to over 400 jobs in my field (healthcare) but as time ticked away and the time between jobs grew, employees became suspicious of the job gap. If anything, I felt used. The things these men demanded of me were vial (think in¢est and b¢astiality) and you can’t react or else they’ll move onto the next girl who will do what they want and get the money. I was suicidal during those years. So glad all of that is far behind me now.
