Hey everyone 👋 In Prototype 2 there is no console commands/mods or camera tools to disable the hud and freecam but I still wanted to make a video so I cropped the screen and recorded some NPC battles. These are mostly the NPC Battles you can see while free roaming in the game, also there are some moments where I spawned NPCs as well, here I spawned 5 brawlers 9:04 using the debug menu. You can find the steam guide for the debug menu in the description. Hope you enjoy the video ✌

Exactly and there is more details I want to show in the next video, like blowing a virus barrel and spreading the virus, showing people turn. Also I heard that in the first prototype when a body hits hard to a car it can damage the part of that car with real physics. There are even more details I heard about first game and I will make a video of it too.
Yup. And I even witnessed infected sometimes dragging off a still intact body from time to time when I played. The infected also seemingly don’t care who the body belongs to. They’ll feed on both the bodies of other infected and non-infected.
Soldier! It has come to my attention that while on patrol duty in the Red Zone, you did not engage any of the Infected. In fact, if testimonies from your squad are to be believed, you went completely unarmed on the battlefield and instead of fighting, you were, and I quote said testimonies, "vibing!"
No sir i wasn't doing that. It was Henry who was vibing. Even though i did go in unarmed while on patrol duty i was supervising the Red Zone to make sure that no one in my squad was killed injured or infected on the battleground. I did lose a few colleagues but they all knew they would have to sacrifice themselves if absolutely necessary. They will be missed.
i loved how in prototype 2 they added the “whitelight” gas that would infect people and turn them into the zombies. kinda sadistic but i loved disguising as a soldier, puncturing the container so it leaked the gas and then running around with it in green and yellow zones and like create an artificial outbreak and watch the marines and black watch contain the outbreak, the ai was so cool in both these games.
I used to go to some base in the yellow zone and rupture all the containers in there. It would just infect the whole block and I would just watch the chaos insue
I remember I would glide around in the Red Zone when I was bored and save either civilians or Marines by grabbing them and dropping them off either on a rooftop or a military base. And other times I would grab a gun and disguise myself as a soldier and help out everyone else. No powers. God, I love this game. Hope Prototype 3 happens one day.
I just finished playing it and yeah I noticed it too like right now🤣, I thought that was just a sound effect then I look back and see a corpse being ripped off

I love how after the USMC truck was thrown over they immediately tried to form a perimeter but were overwhelmed to quickly, whether that's part of their code to do that...still quite amazing...
Fact: If you grab a soldier he will hold his weapon, and letting him go make him immediately engage you again. But you can make him ditch his weapon by going near Whitelight gas. The game determines that he should turn zombie after inhaling whitelight so he drops his weapon but since he is in your hands, he can't turn. After this go to a place far away and release him, and he will tremble in fear like a normal civilian but still attempt to call reinforcement through radio chatter. Not sure if it's a bug but it was hilarious
After looking at this gameplay. Replacing the soldiers with online players but keeping an open world zombie game (GTA grade Open world) with a limitless waves of zombie coming at you, and your team just trying too survive kinda looks like an awesome game
Oh I remember consumed 1 of the black watch and just follow the unit in red zone fighting any incoming zombies. Also P2 is the first game I ever got 100% achievements and I really hope that one day we will get Prototype 3
Would anyone else just grab a random blackwatch, consume him, then join a random blackwatch patrol? The mission where you did something similar was my favorite, I was actually starting to love the squad I was with.
They should have made a prototype 3 where Mercer comes back and gets revenge or better yet by allowing Heller to absorb him he was able to take over Heller's body and kill him in that way. From the inside out. That'd be cool.
Cool concept; or do a similar thing Cyberpunk did - Mercer becomes a living voice in Heller's head, influencing his behaviour and actions but not actually controlling him. Talking to him, criticising him, always threatening to "find a way out"

Mercer is still alive, because his forearms were left on the rooftop after Heller ripped them off, proceeding to absorb the rest of Mercer by brutally tenderizing him. We see in the after credits scene that those forearms started to regenerate, meaning Mercer is still kicking.
I loved doing this while playing the game. Sometimes I go and break Whitelight barrels then move them to a populated area, then change to a soldier, pick up a gun, and pretend to be a normal soldier fighting Infected along with other Soldier NPCs.
Activision really achieved a aesthetic, random events, AI idle behaviour, small to Large details felt good. Ask me what I mean, but the game look great, sucks that it has ended
They should have made a dlc about sandbox-ish marine/blackwatch soldier going out doing duty and than coming back. Maybe with here and there little boss fights.
One of the best games I've ever played. There's a ton much attention to detail, the city feels alive and vibrant. It's a shame no one talks about this game that much anymore. 😕
There's such a sense of detail in this game when you do just that: observe the inhabitants/zombies/soldiers and see what happens. God I love Prototype 2. The sound of distant explosions too !!
I never knew the infected ate their victims and tore their bodies apart. Secondly, I didn't expect the infected to cannibalize their own kind. But if Mercer and his chosen do it, I suppose they all would. The virus likes to recycle I guess.

Watching the military fight the infected was my favorite thing to do in Prototype, especially the infinitely respawning hunters vs blackwatch supersoldiers. It sucks that special enemies don't spawn normally in Prototype 2, or that the combat and general movement in that game are so dumbed down compared to the first, because the maps were really cool to explore. I would sometimes just grab a rifle and follow a company of marines into the red zone and see how long they would last fighting the hordes of infected, or try to grab the civilians running around the zombie filled streets and placing them safely on the rooftops. Plenty of opportunities for emergent gameplay there.
You might be right about the general player combat and movement but I don't think first game had better NPC battles, I like it better in the second game. Also I wonder which special enemies can spawn in the first game that can't spawn in the second.
@@NPCUniverse The supersoldiers and advanced infected are the only ones I can think off the top of my head, and only near special event sites. 2 had more enemy variety, but the juggernauts, goliaths, hydras, evolved, and supersoldiers only spawn during story missions. I know you can use this debug menu to spawn them in free roam though: blog.gib.me/2012/08/01/prototype-2-debug-menu-v1/
@ChuckPalomo Yes I put a guide for that debug menu to description, also I couldn't spawn the special enemies everywhere in the free roam. It has been quite a while since I played the first game probably been literally 12 years or something since I last played and I didn't have much NPC battle moments to remember. For NPC battles do you think it is worth going back to prototype 1? Because I had a lot of fun recording this video and if there are some different moments the capture than this video I can record some NPC battles in first game too.
@@NPCUniverse Yeah man, that game is perfect for NPC battles because of the fight events, where you have to support one group against another. Even outside those events special enemies infinitely spawn in the vicinity, and the best thing is they don't attack you as long as you don't attack them. There is one called "Close Contact" in the middle of the map, directly south of the park, where hunters and supersoldiers can be found fighting. Then another one a ways west of that called "Enemy of my enemy" which is the military vs advanced infected. Game is kinda ugly by today's standards, but the gameplay is still top notch.
Oh I will make it look better don't worry about the graphics, I don't know if you noticed but in this video I used reshade and graphics looks much better than the normal graphics :) Also thanks a lot for the info on NPC Battles locations I will definitely do Prototype 1 videos too soon.
My favourite thing used to be dropping a couple of infected at field ops and letting them wipe 'em out for me. It always took a while and depending on how blackwatch was feeling it might not even work, but it was fun
You know, the USMC and Blackwatch are among the bravest, yet clumsiest, soldiers in the world, they would rather face an enemy straight and coming towards them rather than calling a retreat

This is the best game for npc fights when it comes to the Ai knowing what to target if you are in certain zones and such.

My favourite thing used to be dropping a couple of infected at field ops and letting them wipe 'em out for me. It always took a while and depending on how blackwatch was feeling it might not even work, but it was fun

Its cool to think that you can see an all-out war against zombies and stuff in free roam.
You know, the USMC and Blackwatch are among the bravest, yet clumsiest, soldiers in the world, they would rather face an enemy straight and coming towards them rather than calling a retreat
