You know I really hate telling someone what they should do but I’m going to make an exception this time. This channel would become huge overnight if you just added a little more of Malachi explaining things. His star power is similar to that of a Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. As always you are very welcome for my input.
that was really informative! nice work. good lookin family. im jealous i never had any boys to do stuff like that with. whats a full system like that run today? I'm getting ready to build
A couple questions for you guys. 1. Would it be better to use a distribution box with “fingers” if the space were available? It looks like this site has limited space and you needed to have a continuous snake design. 2. What diameter EZ pipe did you use? 3. With our crappy soils in TN that don’t perc well how many linear feet would you need for a 3 person household? 4. How deep were your trenches? 5. How far apart were your trenches?
1. Each state dictates what type system you can use. TN utilizes crossovers at the end of each lateral line essentially flooding each ditch before the effluent moves to the next. 2. It’s a 4” perforated pipe surrounded by 2” of polystyrene aggregate. 10” total. 3. The number of bedrooms in the home along with soil perc rate determine the linear feet required. Starts at 110’ per bedroom and is adjusted up or down based on perc rate. 4. Trenches are usually 24”min -36”max. 5. There has to be at least 6’ of undisturbed soil between lateral lines.
Can the landowner do their own septic system in tn without being lisenced? I have a buddy that was licensed to do septic systems, but now he is retired, but can he still do it as long as it passes inspection?
