For you, though, it's not enough to beat it in one sitting. It's not even enough to beat it in less than a few hours and few enough deaths to count them on two hands. You're going for less than two and a half hours and zero deaths. You absolute fucking madlad.

A little before time 1:49:22 when you're doing the real tight ledge grab to gain momentum. Using the momentum you can swing around the pit to ascend to the door. With some casual, what ever you do to jump up and down again and again. Idk about the angle shot you'll totally get er dialed.

As far as GDQ not allowing, or at least limiting, rom hacks I can say I really enjoy to see them. Both Super Metroid Impossible and the Mario Maker race were the events that interested me the most this past ADGQ; mostly to see new and unique things with the games I think are "awesome". I've been looking into some total conversions rom hacks of Super Metroid to play myself, anyone have suggestions?
At 2:06:21 can't you hold your speedbooster right there and then drop down and shinespark directly through that little hall to the door instead of having to run through the lava and shoot the enemies?
I don't know about everyone else, but I would love to see Oats run this at SGDQ. He's a great entertainer and is an absolute fricken beast at Super Metroid. Pushes the limits of what is considered humanly viable. After that last finale they would probably go for it. I mean hell. It just goes straight to the ship, as shown at 1:27:06, and would cut 4+ minutes of suitless underwater backtracking and many difficult rooms (from 1:10:15 to 1:14:56).
Hey so are you doing this so you can blow the SM record out of the water? Also I have seen possible faster runs with Speed + Ray, which you have seem to have learned playing this rom. Any chance any of the new skills you have picked up on this 2 Roms making a difference in your Super Metroid time, or you don't think you will be able to beat Behemoths new time? It's one thing getting a record against something so painful that no one wants to try it's another thing entirely racing against another real person.. While it's impressive, it's not competitive.
