The 16 is only an incremental upgrade. There is nothing groundbreaking here, not even AI (which isn't available yet). If you have an 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15, there's no good reason to upgrade unless your hardware is dying (such as the battery). And even then, you can just replace the battery for a fraction of the cost of a new iPhone. These phones still do an admirable job at all the main functions (calling, texting, checking email, surfing the web, running apps, and taking photos/videos). I kept my last smartphone for 8 years!
Once people show to their friends and telatoves and tru their social media what Apple Intelligence can do esp memory movies and searching photos...more will be interested

I am not an apple fan boy. But I have to admit that owning a fan less, quiet, slim and powerfull MacBook air m1 with an 18-hours battery changed my life significantly.

Do you honestly think that China will allow Apple Intelligence to take are foothold? Given that Google products are banned somehow I think not.
It was a Big Mistake to make AI only available on the 16 (and 15 Pro), and not immediately available on launch. This turns off a lot of people.
