That's a nice range. We have a state run free gravel pit that I train at. I'm lucky enough to have it in near my neighborhood. 30mins away. But it's getting hot out haha! There always cons w/ pros
My pellet trap is a pile of wood with a board laying in front of it haha. Try putting a piece of old carpet in the back of that thing would probably make decent difference in sound
Putty can be used to catch a round if your backstop isn't designed to deflect it. If I put it on the angled back, the rounds start to peel the putty away. The putty in this case is used to catch the rounds after they've been flattened and turned into shrapnel.
When I started shooting Air Pistol, I used telephone books and rug remnants stuffed in a box! LOLOL 😀😀 See ya at the Range.
Yessss try .22LR!

It’s a nice range. The problem is the restrictions the county puts on it.
Thanks to a retired Tech billionaire who donated the cash to the county to build it. Don't forget to subscribe.

That'll work. I used to put old T-shirts in the bottom tray of my DIY trap back in the day (angled cast-iron grill in a wicker storage box).

...The idea of the putty is to catch the round... just can't believe you didn't know this...
