i would love to shoot some dramatic indoor portraits with the godox ad100 pro because the direct use of ad100 pro without softbox gives to freedom to be more creative
I love vintage looks, from the early 1900s to the '70s. When I was starting to get interested in the genre I was lucky enough to meet and talk for some time with the most famous of Hollywood portrait photographers, George Hurrell. I learned quite a bit about lighting talking with him as he used these huge sepia prints as examples. To answer the question, I would use any Godox light in a way Hurrell himself might, whether that be dark and dramatic look for say a male portrait, or light and airy for a female portrait. I don't like to repeat my looks so having something versatile like the AD100 with its magnetic snap on modifiers and light weight is a godsend. (have you ever had to work with a heavy battery powered speedlight? I did for 20 years. They were exhausting and dumb. Wrestling around one of those for 4-8 hours can wear you out like a day at the gym.) THAT is one of the main things I like about the AD100 and AD200, that they are light, powerful, as well as quick and easy to use, and having a good size system of accessories is a big plus too!
As my main light when shooting still life art projects, just the right power with endless modifications able to be made. It will expand the creative possibilities of every shoot.
I would love to create a hi contrast image with AD100 as I like the small source of light. I would use a AD 100 as the main light with a godox beauty dish & use one more AD 100 as a cut light to separate the model from the backdrop. That’s my favourite lighting as I like the have dense shadows in my shot
Last years mandatory stop in business caused by the pandemic made me realise I must photograph more of what I love the most and that is portraits. Revamped my website and started orienting marketing for portraits. My studio is turning into a Godox studio, step by step, and I love it! Efficient portability as I have never seen before! Godox AD100Pro would be perfect for use with small apertures and moody soft light the way I love a good portrait. By the way, an excellent first episode full of good info and inspiration! Congrats!
I would use it for the dramatic AND soft looks I use on my high school seniors when we are on the go and in some pretty tight spaces. Just the size alone would give me many more options I never had before!
I am using this AD100 pro for products shoot which are small. It is very compact with descent output and very convenient to control the light. Also it very useful in food photography and wedding photography. Thanks godox for developing and delivering such a marvelous and useful product.
AD100pro will be the right light for food and product photography sometime I don't need must light and the AD100pro just the right light it small and lightweight of 524g. Good job Godox you going into the right way the fans needed and it get the job done.
I work as a commercial photographer but travel photography is my passion. Due to the pandemic i/we was not able to travel. I miss doing street portraits. I love to do dramatic Portiats.Since i still can't travel, i love to do small personal projects about portriats of the people around my area and i believe that the Godox AD100pro will help Me to achieve that. The portability and light weight will sure make may shoulders happy too. #godox #godoxad100pro
Im ordered a godox V1 flash but i would like an AD100 PRO because i like dramatic low key portraits. I’m still a beginner but with these two flashes I could start experimenting with studio portrait photography.
I will shoot a dark dramatic style along with a soft style using the AD100 Pro. I see it being used with a roaring 20’s style setting to capture beauty of the women that came through that time period with a little twist
I would use the AD100 for real estate photography. This compact unit would be ideal to light up my clients home. It’s light and small enough to hide away for all my lighting needs
As I shoot Australian wild flowers in the field, this awesome light set up would create the soft ambience and colour needed to bring out the flowers beauty.
I would use the soft light setup from 2:53 because it looks natural and is very flattering. Skin blemishes can be exaggerated with hard light setups but this soft light setup very much reduces the need for retouching. This was a great episode, featuring a lot of very useful information and good ideas in a very short video. More of this, please!
My initial looks to create with the AD 100Pro, would be dramatic portraits. My main shooting focus, coming out of lockdown restrictions here in the U.K., are to do more street portraits. With the U.K. weather never being predictable, the AD100Pro would be a way of me always capturing edgy shots when shooting in the city.
I love Victoria era painting and I feel Ad100 is perfect to recreating those beautiful images. Also perfect for carrying outdoor n closeup makeup shots in a small studio. But mostly they are perfect for interior shoots as they r light n i can carry them on site.Yamini Krishna Photography
I'd use the AD100 pro with me on locations shooting for a newspaper because it's so light and portable while packing more punch than a regular speedlight
I would like to use many of AD100Pros at once to illuminated a scene that has so many models and so many details to show. Because, AD100Pro is easy to pack, sufficient to illuminate and enough to fill light modifiers for soft-natural look.
Hi Sarah, Thanks for the presentation, interesting to learn how to use multiple lights to give completely different results. However I don’t have an external artificial light source. My use for one Godox AD 100 Pro would be to balance natural light while capturing close up and macro images of flowers and plants. Need to get a remote trigger like yours. Thanks again.
with a back pain, any lite gear become a wonderful thing.. yes, for sure would like to use this portable lite light.. in my case, because the covid still around us and living with my old mother, it’s for outdoor/outside shooting (more safe).. after your video, i feel like a kid because your simple use of setups/lighting give me a lot of inspiration (why to see complicate when simple is able of to be truly beautiful).. the summer is there now here, it’s the time for to explore outside possibilities.. thanks for your examples and presentation, hope to see you on more videos!!!
As a budding fashion photographer I’d use it as a key light in a small 34in Glow beauty dish along with my V1 in a strip box as fill against my storm grey seamless paper to create some cool high fashion looks.
I would use it for beauty shoot because it looks small but powerful enough for my small studio and I think I can get it really close enough to my subject to get the look am going for.
Im a fan of low key photography. I would definitely do a lot of dramatic low key photos accentuate the face structures and body shape. I would probably push it even further to photograph low key dramatic couples but in outdoor area.
I would use it for both , to create a crisp light with my beauty dish and a soft light with a 150cm parabolic umbrella , also I would use it a lot with my 90cm Octa , portraits on studio and street 😎
So much power in small package could be nice alternative to mine speedlights.I wish to do some dramatic portraits on location with AD100PRO.Big fan of GODOX.
It's hard to decide between a dark dramatic look or a soft look, it depends so much on the subject but if the subject suited the look I would go dark and dramatic, reminiscent of the classic portraits of George Hurrell. Those portraits always captured my imagination and drove me to push the boundaries of what I do with lighting.
I'd use the AD100pro für sports shoots. For example for a climbing shoot. Since the light is so small I place it on the climbing wall or hang it from the ceiling
I really liked the way you used a single AD100 pro with the V flats, i will be doing that sort of portraits mimicking day light because that is very simple, can be easily put together, still achieving great results. Thanks
I currently have AD200 and saving up for AD400pro. If given a chance to own AD100pro I will use it as hair or rim light for portrait and beauty shoots.
I'm a high school senior portrait photographer and my "signature" styles is one light portraits. I would love to create a classic one light studio portrait of a senior with clothes that create color harmony with my background of choice. I love one light studio portraits and would create a dark and moody, Rembrandt style portrait using the AD100pro in a grided 36" octabox.
I could create vintage and articulate half-length portraits thanks to the variety of uses of the AD100Pro flash! I already own AD600 Pro, AD200, 2x V1 .... but I think the possibilities of this flash in a small studio (but not only) are enormous. Nice video, thanks.
I love both styles, and for portraits it´s great to be free to adapt the mood for the model and look of the day. So, I would love to create both dark dramatic and soft looks with the AD100, because it´s so flexible and power that we can go both ways so easily and fast! And, with the help of the AK-R1 kit and some modifiers, I can easily navigate throught diferent looks, expanding my creativity and pushing my limits as creator. By the way, great video and beautiful looks! Looking forward to try these setups with the AD100!
I would try your pics with the leaves to shape the light and make awesome shadows on model. So I will use the ad100pro as key light as well. I have in mind some glamour and vintage pictures.
I would love to use these for some night portraits around the city. Finding nice spots with a lot of ambient light in the background and then the flash to put a little light on the model for better dimension.
I would use the AD100 pro for everything from corporate headshot photography to bodyscapes! I know that it's extremely portable which means that I could use it in my studio or pack it away and easily break it out for my boudoir work in an AirBNB!
I like shooting on location, preferably in moody or rough places where I can add smoke for texture and ambience. I would use the AD100pro to backlite the smoke to replace my other brand speedlight that lacks TTL and the ability to be remotely adjusted. These are much appreciated feature when lighting fast dissipating and unpredictable smoke.
I would create beauty shoots bouncing the light with mirrors and foam boards 🤍 this would be my first flash and I’m thinking of purchase it soon anyways 🤍 thank you for the video!
So cool to see Sarah in action!!! Well done. I would take this light with me on location around the globe for magazine editorials and for a creative boudoir series!
I love love the high-key beauty look and would be thrilled to use the AD100Pro for that. Though, I would probably end up shooting some dark and moody work as well, since I always end up there! Thank you!! Such a great video!
I will use the AD100pro with a grid to create dramatic portraits in my home studio. I like the way that these images look and feel. It would complement my current godox lights as well as making me more mobile.
I would love to use the AD100 for a garden scene using flowers in my back yard & a model in golden hour. I have had this vision for awhile & this is so small I could use it just about anywhere! I really need a small lighting kit & this AD100 looks perfect!
I would like to create with the Godox AD100PRO some creative action shots freezing the action with mountain bikers in the air introducing gels, smoke and mud/dust etc... for this it will be necessary with at least 3 ad100pro flashes.
I shoot mostly women contemporary portrait & Sarah is one of my favorite photographer & inspiration. I already use two Godox AD200 & would love to add the AD100Pro to my kit. I would use it to shoot luminous beauty portrait and I would try the fashion inspired setup shown in this video.
I have both the Ad100 & AD200 and don't know what I did without them. I would also love to know what post-processing they used here to create that beautiful creamy skin tone.
Fantastic & packed with great info, I love a video that gets right to it. These are gorgeous images. I would use the AD100pro to create classic beauty in natural locations, it’s so tiny & light, way more versatile than a speed light.
With lighting that small, the versatility in being able to hide the lighting within the frame could be a game changer. I’d experiment with hiding the lights behind different elements within my shot
Thank you very much for the tips, I loved the tutorial!! I would like to use the AD100Pro to create smooth and soft portraits of newborns and pregnant women, very easy to take home or very practical in the studio. Love it!!
I would use the ad100 pro on the road for lifestyle shoots. While the portability of my Godox speedlights are great, sometimes I need a bit more power especially in a large room with tall ceilings. The AD100s would give me the best of both worlds!
I tend to shoot a lot of fitness and catalog work, but the majority of the time I'm shooting a dramatic look with harder lights. The #AD100pro would really be a perfect little addition to help me with my work. #giveaway
I use a V1 and 2 860II and it's really a great deal to shoot portraits on location. I'va just added a ad100 with ak-r1 and it's the perfect tool to travel light and work with confidence. I love those tools
That was great. I am seriously inspired! Thanks for sharing Sarah. What would I create with the Ad100Pro? I would absolutely shoot all the setups you showed here but I am partial to the soft, natural, light look of the 2nd setup and would definitely create that. Why? Because it’s a look that both I and my clients love!
Dark, dramatic and soft looks. What would you create with the #AD100Pro and why? Comment your answer below for a chance to win an #AD100Pro!
I shoot for modeling agencies this would be perfect for a light and portable headshot system
Real estate interior photography easy to hand hold for bounce lighting.
i would love to shoot some dramatic indoor portraits with the godox ad100 pro because the direct use of ad100 pro without softbox gives to freedom to be more creative

Thank you so much! And I totally agree. I love shooting at wide apertures in the studio and this light is a GEM for that. Xx
I would use it for the dramatic AND soft looks I use on my high school seniors when we are on the go and in some pretty tight spaces. Just the size alone would give me many more options I never had before!
What an image♥️...I always love Sarah's click..She is the master of lighting
I am using this AD100 pro for products shoot which are small. It is very compact with descent output and very convenient to control the light. Also it very useful in food photography and wedding photography. Thanks godox for developing and delivering such a marvelous and useful product.
AD100pro will be the right light for food and product photography sometime I don't need must light and the AD100pro just the right light it small and lightweight of 524g. Good job Godox you going into the right way the fans needed and it get the job done.
This is INCREDIBLE.
I already shoot with only Godox
Adding the 100 to my kit today.
Seriously impressed!
Thankyou Sarah
It’s an amazing light x thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it
Love this video, I’ve just purchased the AD100pro, I can’t wait to start using mine.
Hope you enjoy it!
Great info shared Sarah. I'll take this look outside with dramatic effect using the Godox AD100 and shoot with the sun backlit.

Thank you! 😊

Ad100 pro is a must have light for every photographer!
I will shoot a dark dramatic style along with a soft style using the AD100 Pro. I see it being used with a roaring 20’s style setting to capture beauty of the women that came through that time period with a little twist
The size and portability of the ad100pro would allow me to capture ultra runners in the mountains when the light conditions are challenging.
Dark and dramatic. I would love to try the AD100 Pro as a hard light source to create some drama, particularly after seeing her do it in this video!
I would use the AD100 for real estate photography. This compact unit would be ideal to light up my clients home. It’s light and small enough to hide away for all my lighting needs
Nice Video. All of my speedlites and monolights are now Godox, but looking seriously at getting some AD100 and 200 Pro lights to add to my stable.
As I shoot Australian wild flowers in the field, this awesome light set up would create the soft ambience and colour needed to bring out the flowers beauty.
Big things come in small packages! Though its so small that we can create amazing tight shots and also creative like there in godox academy
I cannot decide! I love the dark and dramatic look but also the soft look 💕
These lights are so versatile, I would use them for dramatic studio shots, but would be great for location.
I would use the soft light setup from 2:53 because it looks natural and is very flattering. I would use tbe ad100pro as key light and under expose the ambient light 1 or 2 stops to create moody portraits indoors as outdoors.
AD100pro is so portable and lightweight, I would use it at outdoor locations for beauty portraits, and turn every outdoor spot to a pro studio.

Well that was a superb training video. Clearly presented in a straight forward way, providing inspiration and creativity. More please .. it was great.
More coming! Stay tuned and thank you so much!
The amount of Lightroom/Photoshop that goes into these RAW-files is nuts.
I would use the AD100 Pro for my hospital newborn baby photos. This would be the ultimate flash size for newborns.
I’ll use it for Wildlife photography within the range of the trigger
I would click a Model's apic for Soft Looks with Soft Light. Because Godox AD100 Pro is extremely good at it😍💯
I create dark and mood images; so I often use a small hard light source; the AD100 Pro looks ideal for this.
So awesome to see how you create your in studio work. Loved every minute.
Excellent video ... thank you
I would create high key photos with the AD100!
I would use the AD100 pro for everything from corporate headshot photography to bodyscapes! I know that it's extremely portable which means that I could use it in my studio or pack it away and easily break it out for my boudoir work in an AirBNB!

I would love to mimick Hollywood light with the 100 and use older models!
I'd create dramatic artistic portraits in color and black and white if I won the ad100 pro. Thanks for this great video.
You're creating amazing images. Checked your website, and the images there are absolutely great. Way to go, Sarah Edmunds. Way to go.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! And I love the “officer and a gentleman” reference ;-)
A small AD100 would be useful to me outdoors on the beach for early morning portraits in windy conditions.
Muy inspirador, muchas gracias!!

I love run and gun type of shooting. But always wanted to try studio lightning. I would use the AD100pro to create soft light family Portraits
I will use the AD100pro with a grid to create dramatic portraits in my home studio. I like the way that these images look and feel. It would complement my current godox lights as well as making me more mobile.

Blowing the mind! Thanks!😉👍
I love the soft look, I would use this for some artistic indoor portraits. Loved this video, please keep bringing these out
I would like to create with the Godox AD100PRO some creative action shots freezing the action with mountain bikers in the air introducing gels, smoke and mud/dust etc... for this it will be necessary with at least 3 ad100pro flashes.
Thank you so much Michelle! I love the combo of the 200s with the ad100pro
I have both the Ad100 & AD200 and don't know what I did without them. I would also love to know what post-processing they used here to create that beautiful creamy skin tone.
Amazing, I just ordered two Godox ad100pro for my studio and event photography
I love to use the AD100 to complete my V1 and make really dramatic shots with my favorite models
Fantastic & packed with great info, I love a video that gets right to it. These are gorgeous images.
I would use the AD100pro to create classic beauty in natural locations, it’s so tiny & light, way more versatile than a speed light.
Iam a photographer why I love godox lights
Its Not heaviness with weight. But heavier with power
Carrying space
I would create a soft look, because it evokes the sense of romanticism and ethereal femininity.
With lighting that small, the versatility in being able to hide the lighting within the frame could be a game changer. I’d experiment with hiding the lights behind different elements within my shot
I would use AD100 Pro to shoot creative portrait no matter at anywhere, because it is very light to carry anywhere.. will love it if I have it..
I’m about to shoot a series highlighting hidden disabilities and the #ad100pro would be perfect for that.
Awesome!!
Thank you very much for your detail explanation and use of godox lights
That was great. I am seriously inspired! Thanks for sharing Sarah. What would I create with the Ad100Pro? I would absolutely shoot all the setups you showed here but I am partial to the soft, natural, light look of the 2nd setup and would definitely create that. Why? Because it’s a look that both I and my clients love!
I would like to realize some portraits with this award winning beast of light.
I would be creating dark moody portraits with ad100 pro
1 - we love your smile.
2- you are not talking about your light settings or your camera settings.
This is what we need to know.
Would love to win the AD100Pro to create some outdoor portraits due to it being lightweight and compact.
