Hydration is the number ONE reason why horses get colic. Get them used to eating soaking wet beet pulp (pre soaked). Water be fore feeding, steam or soak hay, do not over rug stabled horses. Vets are being called out to cases of severe dehydration fron sweating from too many rugs.
