Thank you for sharing ideas for single people. I work from home, and take care of both of my aging parents. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. I plan to sign down & review my routines list and make a priority list. Thank you for this video!
Personally, I once learned from someone to have a certain day for the regular jobs. Laundry, cleaning, shopping.... Different day for everything and I juggled things until the weekends were free and provide tome to catch up. We're renting and sometimes can't do laundry when we want to because other tenants are doing theirs. But the open Saturday time creates room to move things around when needed. Now, if I vould only figure out what to fo with boxes of school papers from my dsughter. No room in her room, no basement. Where do we store stuff we want to keep, but not display?
As much as I don't like storing anything under the bed, there are plenty of under-the-bed storage containers (unless that space is already spoken for), that can hide the things to save away.
@@saintinlower48 Yes, I do gave boxes under the bed. Right now I'm trying to find a place for some boxes with school papers and books. We got rid of much, but some are important to keep and are useful for work. They don't fit under beds.
I am reluctantly moving a lot of stuff to digital storage. Take a picture of the art work and it saves the memory/visual without taking up physical space. I ❤ digital photo frames.
It can definitely be a challenge to keep more than we have space to store. I think it is a personal preference as we balance what really matters to us and how “full” we want our home. My parents both passed away, and I have a huge bin of my mom’s journals, for example. And lots of special items like my dad’s first spoon, etc. But at some point, I will need to let them go, as our children do not want to inherit a bunch of stuff. Digital photos have become my best friend. Sometimes passing things along to others works too. Sending love as you make those decisions!
As a parent educator for years I recommended no more than 2 extracurricular activities a term of school and band and choir count! So if your child is in band and football - done. No debate team or choir. If you have several kids it may need to be one per term! While activities help the child, studies show consistent home/family/dinner routines have the biggest effect on future success and stability.
I wish I had limited myself more in high school. I was excited about a lot of things and afraid that I wouldn’t stack up if I didn’t “do everything.” But I was exhausted and stressed most of the time and missed out on a lot of time with my parents. It’s obviously a balance and maybe certain circumstances are unique, but I like your recommendation!
This was the episode I needed to bring it all together. Thank you. 🎉❤😊
Oh, I am so glad! 😘😘😘

@@staceylee1785 That's great for pictures.
Not so good for paintings that my mother made, but those are on the wall, so they're not in the way.
