One of my favorite verses is Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” He leads us to green pastures and still waters, He restores our soul, He protects us from evil, and He prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. He is the good shepherd who knows His sheep and lays down His life for them (John 10:11).

A cool thing about the anime (Samurai Champloo) although it's never said explicitly, the person the entire show is centered around finding (the samurai that smells of sunflowers) is actually a Christian persecuted by the Japanese government during the Edo period. He went into hiding because of this and without giving it away Foo sets out to find him with Jin and Mugen.
