- Why are there so many laws in Scripture? Why is it so hard to be obedient to God? Rabbi Schneider shares that while the Mosaic Covenant is conditional, it was designed to be a temporary until Jesus could fulfill the Abrahamic Covenant. The New Covenant has the same three elements as the original Abrahamic Covenant and is fulfilled in Jesus. Jesus came to free us from the law. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was G-d .The Word became flesh and lived with us.
I don't understand something..I'd like to receive a miracle from God, I need spiritual healing..long story short months ago I was attacked by a demon and my heart now is closed because of the fear I felt..the only way I know to open my heart (because once I was near to do it) is prayer..fervent,long,full of faith prayer..but because I wasn't able in the end to open my heart completely, I felt like there was no hope to do it and I wasn't able to have the faith I needed again,I was always full of doubts,and this made me disobedient because Jesus continued to tell me to open my heart to Him..I needed months to find again my faith, but now that I have faith He's saying that I'm being disobedient in something..don't know what, so if I pray again fervently and with faith can I receive my miracle or because of my disobedience I can't?
Don't be confused, we're all disobedient daily in one way or another. If your disobedience is causing major problems in your life, i.e. adultery, homosexuality, stealing, gossiping or something very disruptive, then repent and ask the Lord to deliver you from this bondage. If you're failing to live to the letter of the law, then know we all fall short on that. That's the reason God made a way through his Son and that's what part of this video discussed. Do you know what self-flagellation is? It's the act of flogging or beating one's self for religious discipline and it sounds to me that you're doing this mentally to yourself to gain approval from God. Satan can use our own self-contempt to damage our faith and our walk with God and I suggest you find some counseling by a competent Christian counselor. Hang in there and find some caring, loving help by someone you can feel you trust. May God grant you his peace and love!
Years ago, I went thru the same thing. I lived in HELL every moment of my life because I kept trying to live up to "God's perfection" in every area of my life!
What you need to do is "give up TRYING". TELL God "I CAN'T be good enough! I CAN'T find enough faith to believe! I CAN'T love you like I should!"
When you finally give up TRYING in your own strength, ASK God to give you His strength, His love, His faith. Tell God "The only way I'm gonna change is for YOU to change me!" We wouldn't even NEED the sacrifice of Jesus if we were able to be perfect on our own!
Now, I don't know if God will give you your miracle or not. What if God says "No" to your miracle? If He does say "No", there's a GOOD reason He is saying "No". The real question is,, can you accept it if God says "No" to your prayers? If God came to you & asked you "Will you still love me if I say "No" to this miracle?", how would you react?
Our prayers are us talking to GOD. Reading & meditating on a Bible verse everyday is how God talks to US. A relationship must have 2 way communication. Otherwise, it's not a relationship.
I'm praying for you & I'm sure others here are doing the same. May you find the peace that God WANTS to give you. He can use all your failures for GOOD. All you have to do is ask Him to do that & work your failures into His big plan we don't see at this time.
